almost a year since having this club, and it's the good value for money. If properly fitted, and weighted it goes good.

a real goto club.

I would Ignore the earlier review by Troy who gave a 1/5 rating. if you trawl thru ALL the other reviews, most are rating it 4 or more/5.

A very solid driver. It makes a loud 'twack' at impact. I always attracted stares using this thing at the range. Not overly forgiving. If you have trouble consistently hitting the sweet spot, look somewhere else. I had the prolaunch shaft fitted which wasnt right for me. The shaft felt boardy and created a low trajectory. It made it difficult to get a heightening ball flight. A different shaft couldve made the driver better.

I played 10 holes with it, put it back in the bag and returned it to the store for a refund. Biggest joke on the market. I can hit my 4 wood furthur and with a lower trajectory. It definately hits the ball straight- straight up! No matter how low I teed it up, it didn't matter.

i have had this driver for about 2 years now and i have not even considered buying another. i'm hitting it about 290 on average with a high to mid trajectory, and im only 16!

the stock shaft isnt too good, a got a prolaunch blue 65 shaft installed and i gain 10 yards easy.

the face is closed a little, but it is so easy to set up on line.

tee it high and let it fly!

This club is the best bang for the buck on the market. I tried all of the new drivers out there right now and this club fit me the best. I am biased to Callaway (Ben Hogan loyalist) but the performance of this driver just cannot be denied. Plus, you can get one for $150.00 at all of the major retailers. I even put this driver up against the "new" version, Hyper X tour. Let's just say it should be called "Hype" X. It's like watching the sequel to a great movie....not anywhere as good as the original. Buy this club....you will not be disappointed.

Customer Service

Such good quality, have not had to use them.

Model Reviewed: X460 Tour 9.5 degree

I've never done a review on a driver because they have all been so similar. This one really stands out. I have a 9.5 degree with the Fujikura TP stiff shaft. This is a very long and accurate driver.
I am usually about 270 off the tee, using drivers by Cleveland, TaylorMade and Titleist. I am at least 5-10 yards longer with this club, and a fairway or two more accurate.
I carried a bunker at 275 yards with this, the same bunker that swallowed so many of my past drives.
I know the shaft is key, the .350 diameter helps with twisting so I think this is why it is more accurate.
The ball flight is absolutely perfect, a boring mid-trajectory that goes forever.

The shaft/head match is perfect.

This is the only driver I ever used that made me take notice to it's superiority over the other drivers.
They are going real cheap right now, under $200. If you need a driver, give this a try.

I was playing with a friend who owned this club in a scramble and asked to hit it. I absolutely crushed it on my first swing. Needless to say, I used it on every driver hole the rest of the round and immediately bought it from him. I would recommend this club to anyone who has a tendency to spray it. Even mis hits tend to go straight with adequate distance. The grip feels great, the feel on good shots is awesome. I think these clubs can be purchased for less than $200 now that the Hyper X is out. A great value for a high-performance, excellent driver!

I have been playing with the FTi for a year now. It is a regular flex, 10 degree draw. I like it alot, I just wanted to get my ball flight down, so I looked at the x460. I 1st got one with a stiff graffalloy red shaft. It felt like a stick with a rock on the end. So I traded it in for the stock fujikura 64 stiff shaft model with 9 degree loft. I love this one. It is easy to hit and goes a long, long way. It sets up a little closed, but with a 90+ mile per hour swing speed, the face squares up at impact. High kick shaft promotes the low, long ball flight that I was looking for. Great driver.

Do not buy this club unless you want to lower your score. Do not buy this club unless you want to add 20-30 yards to your tee shots. Do not buy this club unless you want a staggering amount of confidence off the tee. Do not buy this club if you want to hit drives right down the middle of the fairway. I repeat, do not buy this club if you want to enjoy every round of golf you play. Because this club WILL change the way you play golf. Just a word of warning.

Callaway customer service is among the best out there.

Into the early part of 2008.
and the Hyper-X has replaced this driver in the brochure.
But When I play with this Driver, Still a GREAT club, accurate, wrokabililty is superb, pretty forgiving.
If I were you, if you are playing great with this club, there's NO need to look for another one for this year at least.
Btw, the regular flex fujikura mid kick stock shaft is probably one of the best fitted around for a stock shaft. no need to change.
Will rate this 5 easily.
