Great performing golf club overall, extremly playable and forgiving. I'm a above average golfer with high 90's low 100 swing speed. My point being, either of the Fujikura Fit-on shafts are OK for lower or higher swing-speeds. My older bro has this driver w/ the RED Fit-on shaft. I used it in a 4MAN scramble few months back. MONEY!! I wish every shot required Driver, because this thing delivers consistently if you hit it correctly(CPT Obvious says). Anyway, I hit this thing laser straight most often. The RED shaft keeps my ball flight down more with good roll. The YELLOW FUJIKURA FIT-ON offers a bit more height on the trajectory w/ good roll. I bought my own XLS after using brothers in the scramble completely convinced in its consistency and accuracy when piped. Perfect for mid to high handicappers i'd say. Its' got a great profile at address promotes confidence (for me). Good areodynamics club is big, but while swinging it glides real smooth. If you play a lot of golf and need a reliable tee ball, look no further than the Cleveland HiBore XLS. I havent hit a lot of the new "trendy" stuff from the BIG WIGS (coughs Callaway, Ping, Titleist) But i like Cleveland as a brand. Solid performing equipment especially their wedges. But this model is a classic and deserves praise from a design aspect. Find one cheap on eBay you won't regret it. Like 45-65 shipping included. DO NOT overpay right away, no what i sayin? May all your drives be monsters, and putts be tap-ins. peace ShoeShine

Recently got the 8.5 loft with the Fuji yellow stock stiff shaft. This club is money! I struggle with a high trajectory, hook bias ball flight but not with this baby. I can get the ball down and don't worry about the left side at all. I can ever work it to the right now. Distance is more than adequate and club has a very solid feel. Setup looks good, nice open face. I'm a driver junkie, but I'll be confirmed crazy to take this one out of play. Great club!!!

I spoke with a salesman about the trouble I was having, hooking my Callaway driver. He suggested that I try the Tour version of the Hi-Bore, which is 2 degrees open. Amazing! Most of the time, the ball goes straight, with an occasional block to the right. Same swing, about the same distance, but now I'm in the fairway more often than before.

Been looking for a driver that worked for me for over a decade and finally found it in the Cleceland HiBore XLS. 67 years old weekend golfer and can now consistently drive over 200 yards and rarely miss a fairway. Its like a magic wand more than a golf club.

Wish I had found it a LONG time ago. Bought a Taylor Made R-9 but could not get it to work for me. Traded it in for the Cleveland and my life got better instantly. If you are looking for a very forgiving driver this just might be your answer.

I have gone through 5 drivers, borrowed or given as a gift. I have used 2 that where pretty good but I typically lose golf balls out of bounds or in hazards due to my struggles of the tee. I've played two rounds of 18 with the club so far and I have broken 100 each time. I've gained at minimum 20 yard of the tee and the confidence I have with the driver has helped shave strokes of my game. I would highly recommend this driver for new players.

The Cleveland Hibore XLS Driver adds almost 50 yards to my drive. The first time i ever picked it up i drove 330 yards! My longest drive ever. The next hole... 325. My old drive average was 280 yards! I really like this club and i definitely recommend it to a skilled golfer with a fast swing.

The DSriver has always been the weak part of my game, preventing me hitting below 80, I always compensated with my 3 wood and 5 wood, therefore forcing my game into long irons, and facing fatigue with up and downs, though it did make me shadly accurate in my around the green game. I have used a lot of drivers, always facing the same problem, timing ont he turn, and slicing or hitting hsorter than my 3-wood. I was reccomended the XLS monstor with a M-Gold shaft, bought and worked three days on the driving range with it before taking it on the course. The result, unbelievable, totaly a miracle of golf, I faded, drew, hit straight and boy did I get distance, consistantly 2ro with the wind and 230 without wind, and around 200/210 against the wind, but every shot of the 13 times I used the driver, it went where i wanted it to go. I felt like a golfer for the first time in a long time, especially since with that kind of driving, i was using a lot of my short game skills, shooting 4 below my handicap on the round. Now I know it could be honeymoon delight, but I never had a honeymoon like that with any other driver! I am a believer.

As you can see from my score, I'm not a very good golfer. I'm practically brand new to the game of golf. I'm 43, and had only played a handful of times over the years, but I got the itch when some work buddies invited me out. One had a set of TaylorMade clubs that I borrowed, which performed great, especially considering my skill level. The borrowed clubs had the TaylorMade Burner driver with a stiff flex. This worked pretty good for me, so I started doing some research on clubs that were comperable.

I wanted to pick up a set of used clubs to start. I started doing some research and Cleveland was on my short list. I first picked up a set of Cleveland irons (CG4's) and then found a HiBore XLS 10.5 stiff flex driver on ebay. I had not hit this club, so I was trusting the reviews. I picked it up for $65 on ebay, and it looked practically brand new.

Without any practice swings I took it out and played 18 holes with a friend. Through 18 holes this club performed great. My drives were straight and long (250+). Again, I'm very much a beginner, so I can't express how pleased I am with this club. It has a loud ting when you hit it, but I can get over that due to how well it drives the ball.

Now, if the rest of my game were only half as good as my drive, I'd be in the 80's. Hopefully soon.
