Cleveland Hibore XLS Draw Drivers

Cleveland Hibore XLS Draw Drivers

DESCRIPTION

This club is designed for players who tend to fade or slice. A forward hosel design, internal heel weighting, and a draw biased face combine to eliminate slices and maximize distance. A 3 degree closed face promotes a draw flight. At 17% larger than the HiBORE XL, the face is Cleveland's largest ever and among the biggest on the market. Full Face Performance (FFP) extends the "Hot Zone" of maximum. 830 COR across a larger portion of the face creating more distance from both solid shots and mishits alike.

I bought the Cleveland HiBore XLS driver in very good used condition from Golfsmith. As I'm getting older, I need more loft and a higher launch shaft to get more distance, so I bought a 10.5 degree loft with a regular flex Fujikura Fit-On Gold shaft. Overall I'm happy with this driver. I don't see much increase in distance, but I'm getting a higher launch and better accuracy usually with no big hooks or slices. This is a good, solid driver that seems to work for me.

Customer Service

No experience with Cleveland, but Golfsmith has provided excellent customer service.

This is the first upgrade to my golf bag. I am not a good golfer by any means, but i like playing and find myself wanting to play more often because of this club. I bought this club because of the reviews i read and they are all true. I WAS a super slicer, but with the draw club head i find my drives land on the fairway more often then not. This club has helped me enjoy the game more now, than i ever have. GET ONE!

I went from a slice to a hook with my old TaylorMade. I improved greatly with my iron play but if I hit two or three fairways in a round I was thrilled. My inability to drive was always what drug me down. I just bought this used for $65 and let me tell you, it's the best money I've ever spent on a club. I hit 10 consecutive perfectly straight drives, the longest around 275. I have never hit a drive anywhere close to that. This club is the answer to my prayers.

I was borrowing my friends driver for a round about a month ago. The driver... the Cleveland Hibore XLS. When i was finished with the round i didnt hesitate to by it from him. My drives were long and accurate and it made it easier to get a green in regulation. Although the noise on a good shot is ear rattling i like it!

Picked one up for $120 at Golf Galaxy... amazing results. Im 14 and dont drive it particularily far(240ish), so i rely on mostly my 4-8 irons to get me close to the hole... but i had a 265 and straight drive on the first tee i used this driver. I just used a pitching wedge and sunk an 8 foot putt and birdie the first hole i used it. A steal for $120. Much better than my old Burner.

Had Taylor Made R5 Draw Driver 10.5 degree and wanted to try a newer driver. I purchased a Cleveland Hibore XLS Draw 9 degree and am very satisfied. I picked up 30 yards from 220-230 to 250-260. This club is easy to hit straight or slight draw. Also club has a great price for the value.

For the past two years I have been hitting a 10.5 degree Cobra Speed LD driver with Regular shaft. I was comfortable with this club but found the trajectory to be too high. I bought the HiBore XL Draw for a better flight. Boy did it do that! With my swing, the stiff shaft and 9.5 degree loft really keep the ball low. This is great for me because the courses I play have hard fairways and the ball can roll quite a bit. I'm not a crusher. I max out around 280. My average drive with the Cobra was 220. My average with this club is 235 or so. It feels kinda clunky at impact, but I'm getting used to that. The offset doesn't really do anything for slicing except get slicers to buy the club. I just like the look at setup. I do miss the size of the Cobra. I may upgrade to the Monster for the 16% larger face.
