I recently got this club out of the closet and put it back into play. It's easy to hit and goes long and straight. I think it's going to stay in my bag for a while. Duane, I'm sorry to inform you that it is IMPOSSIBLE to hit a golf ball high in the air and get TOPSPIN. To get topspin, you have to hit a ball across the top of the ball, above the equator abd that will drive the ball into the ground That's a law of physics. Use a bit of common sense. But overall, the 330 is an easy club to hit straight and long. I have had mine for a number of years, but have been regularly using a Ping G2, but the 330 will stay in the bag for a while this time.

Bought club a week ago at Play It Again Sports. Was having a staying in fairway and slicing. Had traded cheap driver for another cheap model and got worse. Decided to get a quality used driver and found this Launcher 330, Regular 65 shaft, 9.5. So far it's working well, can still slice but its a bad shot, even hit some draws. Distance is about the same but in the short grass more. I play a lot and really like this club. I started playing August '07 so I'm no no expert, just enjoy playing and trying to improve.

Disagree with some previous reviewers that this clubface is overly closed. I do not know the exact spec on this, only that I did not think it was unusually closed. In fact, I hate it when a clubface is overly close (like some hybrids I have tried) as it really takes a herculean effort to keep the clubface in the proper position. This driver required no such manipulation.

I tried this with the 8.5 loft, the proforce 60 regular shaft and normal sized grip. The first thing I noticed was that I hit a bunch of "Richie Allen" line drives. Long, straight bullets that never seem to drop and really would run on the right fairway. It was an effort for me to get a mid-high launch, but I could do it if I really visualized it. The best feature I found with this setup was my directional control...it seemed every drive started where I wanted it to. Now that rarely happens for me with a large 460cc driver. The closest match directionally for me was the Mizuno 400cc MP-001 I used to use. As a matter of fact I also hit that one unusually low, but I blamed the stiff shaft for that one.

Feel was good (not quite as sweet as a flush drive with my 975J however) and the noise made at impact was fine, no complaints. I was able to work the ball both ways, again giving creedence to the perception that the face was not unusually closed.

I had a Cleveland 400cc Launcher that I gave to my brother. I think the 330cc is for me a better club. Similar, but better and easier to hit straight. Again, the Proforce 60 shaft being a nice upgrade, may have contributed to the excellent directional control.

All in all, a great club that you can really hit long on the right fairways. For really soft fairways more carry may be in order so make sure the loft is enough for you. Forced carries may be another story and time will tell on that.

With the price you can pick this up for nowadays, a supremely good deal, six stars out of five for value. Is it a better value than the 975J? I think given the same shaft/loft I would get this club at least one degree more loft than the 975J in order to experience equivalent results. Both clubs are excellent, workable drivers, and much easier to square up than 460cc heads. Bigger is not always better IMHO.

Customer Service

Never needed any from Cleveland, generally they have well made stuff.

Model Reviewed: model 330 10.5 deg reg graph

Tried this club when it first came out and hit it well but then started to pull it left. The face was closed and with my natural draw this became a problem. Sound is loud and feel is great. Distance was a bit down compared to a Taylormade 580 but if your a slicer the 10.5 deg loft with closed face should help. I think the best advice is that you should try before you buy.

Awesome Driver!...I picked it up on ebay for $44.99 and then another 10 dollars to ship it and it was worth every penny. I am hitting the ball the straightest I have ever hit it...Like dead straight down the middle everytime. I am also hitting the ball 10-15 yards further which is good. So to anyone looking for a great driver then pick one up off ebay!!!!

After reading the rave reviews about this driver, I bought one on Ebay for around $49. The driver is a 10.5* and has the gold regular flex shaft. The one thing I noticed when I received the club was how closed the face appeared at address. I played two rounds with the club and found that I could not stop hooking without making some serious adjustments to my grip. It seems I could use my regular grip with all my other clubs except this one. I decided to try the Cleveland Launcher 400 9.5* with a gold stiff shaft. WOW! What a difference. I was blistering drives with a slight fade. Some drives were longer than I had ever hit before. In the end, I can't say with any certainty if it was the difference with the 330 to the 400 or the difference in the shaft flex. Either way, I have found my driver with the Launcher 400. Lastly, if you have a tendency to slice, then I would check out the Launcher 330 with a regular flex gold shaft.

Model Reviewed: Launcher 330 Ti 9.5* reg. flex

I bought this driver around 2001. It is the original Launcher Ti w/gold shaft. I hit it at the range and liked the configuration (then). I had been using it with good results for a year or two. Last year when I started swinging well again I had problems with HOOKS! Now I am seeing it this year too. :( I think I've developed a more aggressive release of my hands and it would start okay, and then keep drawing away too much - or big hook OB. I dislike the 'closed' looking face also (see the last review - he's right!) I have been experimenting with playing it back in my stance a little, opening the face and regripping it, releasing more "gently"? etc. and have had some good results (but inconsistent). I usually have a pretty smooth swing tempo, with accelerating impact. This finagling (sp?)is a hassle, though. I don't want to have to remember some secret formula or 'tweaks' just to hit a good drive! I have had some good - actually great drives with this club, though - yesterday I hit one around 285 in the short grass (I usually average 240-260 yards in general - no magic "300+" drives yet. :) In recent times I just have to make too many compensations just to hit a straight or only slight drawing shot. (In case you're wondering, I've actually been hitting my irons better in recent times.)I love the FEEL of this club, though, darn it - the shaft, the face, the sound - WHAM, it's gone. I just don't like it when it's gone OB. If I could make the face more square, it would be perfect. I am considering getting fitted for a 9 or 10* Si3, reg. or flat lie, to see if this can help. Any helpful comments/suggestions anyone has would be appreciated. Sorry for the length, but I tend to be wordy. Later!

Customer Service

Haven't had to use yet. P.S. I like my Cleveland wedges (52*, 56*, 60*) very much!
