Cleveland Launcher 400 Drivers

Cleveland Launcher 400 Drivers

DESCRIPTION

New technology has made it possible for golf clubs to be more effective and powerful than ever before. The Launcher 400 has the technology of the original Launcher 330 with the added benefits that come from a larger clubhead. This great feeling driver produces a higher launch angle with lower backspin for more carry and increased roll, and also offers an increased moment of inertia which reduces the amount of lost distance on off-center hits. With these new technological advances come restrictions to keep the game fair and fun for golfers of all levels. The rules of golf dictate that a driver face can only offer a certain amount of spring-like effect known as the Coefficient of Restitution or C.O.R. The USGA has officially ruled that the maximum amount of C.O.R. allowed in a golf club is .830. The New Launcher 400 precisely meets this legal limit allowing you to post all of your scores. So, you'll be able to put this club into play in any tournament at any golf course and feel confident that you're getting the distance, the great feel and accuracy of the most technologically advanced club in the game.

I use the Cleveland Launcher 400 8.5 loft club with a gold soft flex shaft. Im 17 and i swing pretty fast but have a nasty slice. This club fixed my slice, and added over 40 yards to my drives. I am very happy about this product but i recently upgraded to a launcher 460 with a steel shaft and i added another 30 yards to my drives. Thanks to Cleveland for making such excellent drivers!

Customer Service

I havent had to use it but my uncle says its top notch.

In the three rounds I have played with this club I have developed a massive hook. This hook was not something i have ever hit before. I thought I had it beat after about 30 balls on the driving range before my last round through the 1st tee by changing to almost a baseball grip. This "cure" did not last past the 2nd tee. On top of this problem I lost about 15 yds on the drives that could be classified as draws rather than hooks. Either way I order a NIKE Ignite 410 8.5 I will be trying out this week.

Let me start by saying that I love this driver. This was the first "real" driver I ever purchased. I've used the Ping G2 and G5, but I always come back to the Launcher. My longest drive ever was with the Launcher. I got a lucky bounce past 300 yards and ended up sitting around 310 on a 480 yard par 5. This club will not make you a 300 yard driver if you don't have the headspeed to back it up. But, if I hit a bad shot with the Launcher, I'm usually on the short rough. Don't get me wrong, I love Ping's also, but my swing has to be dead on for them to work. The Launcher goes and goes. I hit the Pings around 250-260. I get the Launcher out to 275+ most of the time when I hit it on the screws.

Customer Service

Cleveland is awesome. I called to try and get some head paint, because I dinged the tip of my head. Within two weeks a had a 1 ounce bottle of paint in my mailbox and my ding is fixed!

i'm starting my 2nd season with the laucher 400. i bought this club last year after selling my R580 taylor made. at first i really liked this driver, after a couple months i put it in my bag and used my 3 wood off the tee because i was hitting my driver everywhere but the short hairs. i called my local pro up and went in for a few lessons and it all came back. i'm still hitting 90% of the fairways but my distance is gone. i was hitting this club on average 275 yards, now i'm hitting around 230 - 240 yards. when the club was hot i was out driving all my buddies by 15 yards at least and sometimes longer. now i'm about 15 yards behind them. it's not my swing because if i use one of their clubs i'm hitting it longer. on the last hole the other day i hit a ball dead in the sweet spot with everything i had and wound up 35 yards out from the green on a 320 par 4. i was feeling pretty good about my drive untill the guy i was playing with hit his R5 15 yards in front of me. i just feel like this club has lost alot of spring in the face. right now i'm looking at the cobra 460sz, hopefully it will get me back out in front of my buddies and stay in the fairway. the one thing i will credit this club with is it's straight for hard swingers, thats why i sold the TM R580. the R580 was long but you really had to swing easy with it and it tended to slice. i want a driver that i can swing for the fence and still have the control to draw it a little.

Picked up a Launcher 400 w/ NV stiff at Golfgalaxy for $100. Was in pretty good condition so I went ahead and bought it. Needless to say it is a top notch driver, better then most drivers I've used. As long as anything else, consistently straight, and not too high (which is a problem I constantly fight).

I'm a leftie (swing speed ~100mph) and bought the Launcher 400(9,5°) at Golfsmith for 99$ with the Stock shaft (stiff). The stock shaft didn't feel good so I've replaced it with a graffaloy blue (Regular, pured). That seems to be a perfect match - good feel, goes straight where it has been aimed and at least as long as other drivers ... all in one very reliable. Since the original laucher produces slightly more launch angle and spin than other drivers, the grafblue brings it back to the perfect launch/spin combination.

Great driver. Averaging 300yd drives when I'm not slicing/hooking which is 50% of the time! Only tweak may be to shaft but its fine for now. The classic appearance, performance and value of this club make it a club I'll be hanging on to for a while.

Customer Service

Great. Bought in Hawaii, live in New Zealand. Developed a rattle in the head (?glue), exchanged for a new one after futile repair.
