Awesome club! I had previously purchasaed an Orlimar HIP Ti and sliced 90 percent of my drives. I was beginning to think my technique had deteriorated so badly that I was going to have to start using a 5 wood off the tee. As soon as I hit the Quadpro, everything fell into place. I hit the ball very straight and long and just felt comfortable right from the outset. The weight of the head feels just right and the club is quite forgiving on mishits. I would highly recommend this club to anyone looking for a new driver, particularly those like me that prefer a smaller head on their driver.

A number of people have e-mailed me about some of the specs for my review below, here goes: My QP Driver has a 45" Grafalloy ProLite 35-S shaft with a Cleveland grip and 8.5 degree loft. Also, I tried the TM 320 and found it to be too light and unwieldly, couldn't groove my particular swing with it at all. This driver is meant to be drilled and comes off HOT like no other! Try it you won't be disappointed! Aloha!

Coouldn't believe all the great reviews on this club, so picked up a used one and I couldn't believe it. Although the head is on the smaller side, I was simply CRUSHING the ball right down the fairway. It was pretty scary! This baby is built to go long and straight! Tried some of the larger & lighter "hot" clubs like the TM 320, Ping Ti, etc., nothing came close to the QP. But, you should be a decent ball striker (in order to truly unleash the club's distance) because the head isn't the size of a toaster and it must fit your swing. I have a fairly quick swing, not slow and rythmic, but I also generate very good clubhead speed. Club has great feel (not too light) and drops into the slot where I can really drill it. Like the 975D, this club really fits my swing. I would very highly recommend this driver...especially for the price. Cleveland really has a GEM here, their marketing department should do a better job in making the public know about it.

THIS CLUB IS AWESOME. I had been using a 3 wood off of teh tee for the past 2 year. I averaged about 250 yards per drive. I went to the range yesterday for the first time with it and didn't hit a single good shot. I realized later that I must change my swing since it is not aa 3 wood anymore. I went on the course today and had at least 5 or 6 drives over 300 yeards. My dad was just amazed. I shot a pair of 42's which may not seem to good, but I think I three putted at least 5 or 6 times. Now I just need to work on the putting and teh lob wedge and I am ready. CLEVELAND RULES!!! Also check out their new wedges cause they are sweet as well

I picked up this club 2 weeks ago, and its almost perfect. I gained an honest 20 yards off my old my old bubble 2. And It rolls forever with a nice draw. The other day I mishit it off the toe and it went only a few yards short of my average. The stock shaft is bad and inconsistent, but with a different shaft it works great. Seems everyone thinks that. Its up for a great price too, because of the new cleveland driver coming out soon. supposedly nice, Vijay and Brooks aren't complaining.

Model Reviewed: Quadpro Ti w/BiMatrix stiff

This is an update to my previous review - and mostly concerns the BiMatrix shaft.
I LOVE this club and plan on it becoming very cozy in my bag for the forseeable future. And Ilove the BiMatrix shaft - especially with this club head.
BUT - this shaft seems to be quite a bit more tip-stiff than most stiff rated shafts. My swing speed is about 105-110 max, depending on the day, and I think that if I had to do it over again I MIGHT have gone with a regular flex shaft. I don't have a problem getting the ball up, even from the turf, but I did feel I was missing that "pop" because of the stiffer shaft. And shots from the turf do stay pretty low. For comparison all my irons are TT S300 (which are just right) and my other woods are Callaway RCH 60 & 90 Firm (which are a fair amount looser than I would like).
But I have stuck with it and am now realizing the gains in accuracy from the stiffer shaft, which is great.

just an FYI

Model Reviewed: Cleveland Quadpro 9.5 BiMatrix

For the longest time, i was in search of a driver that would hit more fairways and stay long. I own a Taylor Made Ti-Bubble 2 8.5 stiff, and I can hit it long off the tee, but rarely does it go as straight as I would like. Any mishit with it causes huge slices or hooks. I searched for a new driver for about a month, demoing all the new drivers and the old, seeing what was out there. I love the new Titleist 975J, but i can't afford the hefty $500 price tag. The same goes for the Callaway VFT driver. That is a nice club, but costs too much. But lately, I noticed that the Cleveland and the Callaway Hawkeye Pro drivers were on sale, both for 200 bucks a pop. I thought, I'm going to go get a Hawkeye right now, because I've hit it before, and i just love it. I work at a golf course, and I hit many, many, many different clubs. The Hawkeye Pro was one of my favorite clubs yet. But I had never hit the Cleveland. I spent two days hitting these two clubs side by side before I made my decision. It came down to this. For 200 dollars, either club is a steal. While I liked the Hawkeye's grip better than the Cleveland, the fact that the Quadpro came with a BiMatrix shaft while the Hawkeye had that Callaway Pro series shaft made a huge difference. The Callaway shaft (Pro 3.1) gave a much less desirable ball flight than the Quadpro's BiMatrix, not to mention the Hawkeye's flight paths were very inconsistent. The Quadpro, meanwhile, gave very consistent shots, distance and accuracy-wise. The weird thing was that I got a more penetrating ball flight with the 9.5 Quadpro with a Stiff BiMatrix than I did with the Hawkeye Pro 8.5 Stiff. But it wasn't like it was a no brainer or anything, i mean, the Callaway club is great, and it took me almost three hours hitting these two clubs to figure out which one i really wanted. Both were a substantial improvement over my Ti-Bubble 2, and in the end, i went with the Cleveland, and I won't regret it. The first time i played with it, I brought it out of my bag, on a 390 yard par 4, I took two practice swings-no warm up-and hit my drive. I had a sand wedge into the green from about 100 out. With my Taylor Made, I usually have 150 in, maybe an 8 or 9 iron. But i had sand wedge. That's so cool. Be warned, though, the stiff BiMatrix shaft is definately that. I have a driver swing speed of almost 110 mph. It's most definately a stiff, and has a high kickpoint, and sends the ball lower. That's why I got the 9.5, because with the stiff shaft, the 8.5 didn't carry as far for me, even with my swing speed.

the bottom line with me is: driving is the worst part of my game. it has been holding me back from decent score for sometime now. I learned from the greens back and i'm now in transition to the long game. I hate and fear the tee box, tops, pulls, pushes, slices, and hooks. I have them all. Not to say that this club cured them all but, it definately has controlled them all a bit, and I find the fairway a tiny bit more often. I like the tradition size, and the sound it makes which transposes into good feel (although i dont know what feel is with a driver yet) I know that with the MC LADY ball and this driver I can swing it like I swing a dead arms wedge ( that I mastered) and it will go at least 260, maybe not straight but at least it gets out there which is good for me. I can really feel confident with this thing which I feel is the most important thing. Its really good to hear all the good reviews though. I think I'm going to have this club for a long time.

Model Reviewed: 9.5* Stock stiff shaft

Picked this driver out of the used bin for $120!!! Still had the protective stickers on it. Though I would like a stiffer, heavier shaft, this club is a beauty. Giving me real trouble choosing between my 975d and this each round. I like the smallish look of the head - same size as the Titleist. Hits a much higher ball than the Titleist, but about the same distance depending on wind conditions. Definitely more forgiving, though. Feels HUGE at impact, but b/c of forgiveness, slightly tougher to work than my other. If you are shooting below 90, this is a fairly long, easy swinger, and about $100 less than some other big boys.

All I have to say is WOW! This is really a nice club. I also have a 975D and a Mizuno Forged Driver and this is the best one. I didn't like the Cleveland shaft so I put in a new True Temper Titanium shaft and I would sleep with this club. It's very straight but also easy to draw. I don't know about fading because I don't fade the ball. But I'm sure you could with ease. The ball rockets off the club face and has long carry and roll. I'm surprised that's it's legal by the USGA standards. I've only had it for about a month and already my longest drive was about 325. And your game will improve just by hitting more fairways with this club. I HIGHLY recomend this club for anyone looking for a new driver. Absolutely fantastic club!
