Model Reviewed: Cobra SS 350 Tour 9.5 deg

In the past 2 years, I've owned and played Taylormade 580XD, Titleist 983K, Titleist 983E and Cobra SZ 400. I think I've finally found the driver for me. It has the stock YS6.1 stiff shaft/9.5 degree. I like the smaller head and square face as opposed to the 2 degree closed face of the others. I can work draw the ball without having to worry about snap hooking. It's longer than the other drivers I listed above and clearly feels more dynamic off the face. The 580XD and 983K felt dead. The SZ 400/9 degree had a tendency to balloon and was disappointly short though easy to hit and straight. The 983E/9 degree with YS6 stiff shaft felt great and was closest to the performance of the 350 Tour, however, the ball flight was too low. I bought the little used SS350 Tour on eBay for $95.

Model Reviewed: Cobra ss350 9 degree stiff

I'm not a great driver of the ball but found that the ss 350 was giving me better distance and forgiveness than any other driver I had tried. Got one second hand. Despite having a swing speed of only 90 miles per hour, I play a 9 degree stiff shaft(more like a firm). This club gets the ball in the air and, depending on condition of the fairway, gives you lots of roll. However, I can never leave well enough alone. Anyway, I always have my eye on other clubs looking for the next "best" thing (I'm also a 2nd hand club junkie). Recently, I've compared the Cobra 350 to the Cobra 400 SZ and Taylor Made 580XD (with comparable shaft stiffness and loft). Guess what? I hit the 350 longer and straighter than the 400 (which I tended to hook badly) or the TM 580. The only driver that has come close to making me think of replacing the Cobra is the Titleist 983K. However, although that driver looks better, it doesn't give me more distance or forgiveness (and it lacks the dynamic feel of the Cobra). Anyway, if you can find an ss350, it's DEFINITELY worth a try (and it's not expensive). You may also wish to try the ss fairway woods - they're significantly better than the Cobra sz woods that replaced them. Sorry for the long review.

Model Reviewed: King Cobra ss 350 9 degree driver

This driver hits and sounds like a rocket launcher for me. The 60 gram cobra shaft is a bit lite for most drivers but it works for this head. Very cheap in price for the quality of it. Hits between 260-280 for me, but I live in Oregon where you don't get a lot of role. If you don't mind a bit of noise, this might be the driver for you. (very loud off the ball).

Model Reviewed: King Cobra SS350 7.5* Stiff

After reading the other reviews posted, I decided to get one of these drivers while I could still find a new one. I have been using a Cobra 454Comp 10.5*. Its a great driver but has an awful lot of loft and when my balls got on up there, the wind would catch them and they'd die and drop. I decided to try a driver with less loft. This driver is great!! I consistently sent them straight down the fairway and was out-driving my 454Comp by a good 25 to 30 yds. This surprised me considering the difference in head size. I have only been playing for 3 1/2 months and had 6 lessons. This club was definitely the answer to my problems. I would highly recommend it as well as any other of the Cobra products.

Model Reviewed: King Cobra SS 350 CC Off Set Driver

I personally like this club a lot. I have had this club for about 1 year now. I have finally been able to hit the club right, due to the offset on it. The off set gives me time to bring the club around and hit it square. I found a good grip and swing finally and have been able to nail about 10/14 fairways for 18 at my coarse. The distance and forgiveness of this club is incredible and sweet spot is awesome. My dad has this club as well and hits it 300 or so, but i only hit it about 250 usually. I mean im 14, and i can hit it that far and straight, so it works for me, and probably will work for you. When I bought it hough, it was a bit exspensive.

Customer Service

Model Reviewed: Cobra SS350 offset 10.5 regular fles

I own the Cobra SS fairway woods - 3 and 5. I really love these clubs - easy to hit, straight and long. I was looking for a Cobra driver to go with them and I saw a 350 offset 10.5 regular at a giveaway price in a secondhand bin (value rating based on this price). I took it onto the range and it was not an instant success. I really wanted to like the club. The first shot went miles - but left over the range fence. Maybe with an offset it needs to be played further back in the stance. I just could not get the consistency and hence the confidence that the Cobra fairway woods provide. I will continue my quest. The same outlet has new SS370 and the SZ range at reasonable prices. I may need to experiment with flex and loft. I do not want a very high trajectory. One thing that puzzles me is what offset actually means. I thought all the Cobra drivers are closed to some extent. Can anyone tell me why drivers are twice the price of fairway woods? There cannot be that much difference in manufacturing cost. Putters are a steal in comparison, especially when you consider how many times they are used in a typical round.

very good driver, if you tend to slice the ball, this driver's for you. if you hit straight or draw , do not buy because this driver has a 3 degree closed face with a very light shaft which can cause many hooks, bad ones. this driver has excellent distance and toes hit usually turn out quite well but will ring the ears a little( king of loud around the outside of the face). a good buy for the price.

Great driver, very consistant and accurate and for the price i cant argue with that :).I needed something while i was waiting for a replacement XXIO from srixon (also an awesome club),so i picked this up and i think it will be staying with me for a while. By the way the 10 year old below is full of crap,270 for a 10 year old isnt humanly possible.Wish ppl wouldnt lie in reviews it serves absolutely no purpose.

WOW!!! What a driver, when i first stepped out on the range on a beautiful golfers morning last Sunday, I felt great, and after I'd hit a few balls with my new driver, I felt even better. I was hitting the ball an extra 30-50 yards than I had been doing with the clubs Wilson counterpart: The Deep Red II!!! I was tempted to leave the wife on the couch for the night and let the club sleep with me, but she didn't like that idea!!!

Customer Service

'Dodgy Dave' was very helpful!!!
