This driver is the best I ever hit. I am a technology guy and this tops them all. I am a long hitter and I played with this driver the past 4 rounds and i'm 295-315++. It's so forgiving. You need to adjust just a little due to the closed face, but once you get used to it, your friends won't beleive the distance. Good Luck

This driver is the real deal. Sets up nice and square, and just plain delivers. The NV-X shaft is light, fast and a perfect match for this club head. Being up here in New England, I have only tried it at the driving range when the temp. rises into the mid 40's and still able to carry the ball over the 285 yard marker. If your looking for a square set up without the ajustable weights to tinker with, this is it. The most accurate driver I've found and I've hit just about everthing.

Model Reviewed: Cobra X/Speed 9.5* X-Flex

First, some background. Been playing for about 4 years now, and I'm a HUGE Cobra fan - I've got 2 440SZ's with OEM X-flex shafts, a 450SZ Tour fitted with a Harrison X shaft, and a 460SZ with an Accuflex Assassin IIWC X-flex. Yes, I swing hard and fast - I'm 6' 2" with an average swingspeed of 115-120, max 135mph, averaging 300-320 yards/drive with an all-time best of 388 yards. I'm hoping to enter some long drive events next year. That said, in my experience the new Cobra X/Speed is without a doubt the hottest, most forgiving, and straightest driver Cobra's come out with so far. Cobra says the X/Speed has a square face, but at address it LOOKS closed - about 1.5 degrees. My eyes are probably deceiving me, but it's not an issue for me. Compared to my other Cobra drivers, the clubface is slightly taller, which probably contributes to its absolutely huge sweet spot of over 54cm2. The classic Cobra loud aluminum-bat *tink* noise it makes is still there - be prepared to get people's attention on the range. The best part of this club is the Aldila NV-X X-flex shaft. I'm not sure what's involved in Cobra's 'speed-tuning' process, but I can say this shaft is GREAT. 45", high kick, and even with a 9.5* loft (which is a lot for me, I previously hit 7.5*) I still produce fast, penetrating, straight drives 90% of the time. This club isn't for the timid - you definitely need a fast swing speed to get it to work right. If you don't, go for the F/Speed or M/Speed. But if you have the qualifications, do yourself a favor and demo this club - it's a long driver's dream. Before this club came out my go-to club was the 9* 440SZ - the easiest to hit and the longest out of the Cobras I own - not anymore. The X/Speed is my new go-to driver and is a worthy successor to the 440SZ.
