Dynacraft Copperhead Tour Drivers

Dynacraft Copperhead Tour Drivers

DESCRIPTION

SP700 faces are an integral part of the design of the Copperhead Tour Forged Titanium drivers, yielding thinner, hotter faces that meet USGA COR specifications.

Drivers are available in 3 volumes and lofts, each one designed to provide a launch angle suited to a specific player type.

Maraging faces highlight the 17-4 fairway woods, which have the thinnest fairway faces in the Dynacraft line.

Copper weights in the sole are precisely positioned in accordance with the head's CG for accuracy and feel.

Model Reviewed: Copperhead CU Driver

I'm writing a review on this Copperhead CU driver because I've found a new respect for this driver. Golf-Club-Reviews has also favorably reviewed this club and now I understand why. This is my back up driver for when I visit my folks down in San Diego. So I rarely get to use it. Up until now, I've been struggling with this driver. But on my last trip, I made a significant adjustment to the ball position and tee height for wind reasons and this has made a world of difference. Almost immediately after lowering the ball height on the tee towards the middle of the clubface (as opposed to keeping towards the top of the face) + moving the ball closer (but not quite) towards the middle of my stance as opposed to forward towards the inside left heal, I've been banging the ball very long for my standards. I played this club in some serious wind with this change and I have to say the ball really kept its line well. The club is outfitted with a ProLite shaft at about 5.0 to 5.5. Full Lampkin Crossline cord. I think the length is at about 44 to 45. Loft says 10 degrees but who knows. I tend to use the Precept MC Lady for the lower compression + bang for the buck. Now this driver is really fun to play with. For the first time in a long time, I didn't lose a single tee ball. Just ripping it everytime. I think I gained confidence after every tee ball and it made we want to try for more. Length for me is good at around 250. But I'm very certain to have hit this on more than one occcasion around the 270 mark when the wind calmed down. On a downhill tee with some wind to the back, I went past the end of the fairway at around 280-290. Obviously, the downhill set up + wind helped, but there's no doubt the confidence in the club and my swing this day contributed as well. Very easy to hit club. Head is light, but not Ping light. Feel is just solid. Sound off the face is great. Certainly not dull. I'm now glad I have this club for when I visit + only too happy to have adjusted the ball position and tee height.

Model Reviewed: Copperhead Tour 3Wood 16 Degree

This is a review of the Copperhead Tour 3-wood. It's constucted of maraging steel. The club has a very hot face and excellent weight distribution which helps get the ball up. Mid-size head inspires confidence at address and works well on the fairway or in the first cut. Performance was outstanding (fitted with an Adilla Excelerator R Shaft), trejectory was perfect. Finish was okay, the paint looks nice but there were several marks on the sole of the club where it was not polished. Outstanding head for a great price.
