I bought this thing because it reviewed so well. I didnt play that well with it the first time, but i finally figured out to slow down and let this bad mammy-jammy do the work. I used to only hit my SteelHead Plus 200 to 220 yards tops... i'm now consistently 50 yards longer with the same swing. I've mis-hit a few and I still get 200 yards out of it. I still can't believe I spent $300 on one club since I usually buy used, but as long as this club remains durable I'll be happy for 10 years.

i have sworn by my calloway drivers, steel head plus, steel head iii, i was determined to purchase a taylor made 540 or titlist model. i hit them all for over an hour at an open range in del rey. no matter how hard i tried to ignore it, the tsunami was the one, long, straight penetrating drives. i wanted a driver i could control and find my mis hits to still be in play, i have found that club.

Prior driver was 4 years old. Decided to update and upgrade. Skeptical of "new technology" hype. Golf Mart allows you to try club for 90 days and if unhappy to bring it back for full credit and try something else. Tried Cobra Offset, really liked it. Cleveland Launcher, TalorMade, Titlest, Ping, Pinseeker. Finally sales guy claims that this club is the hot club among the employees. (Right) Promises me that after I play with it, I will never bring it back. (Sure) Ok, he was right. Easy for anyone to swing this thing and I have let many people try it. Playing partners always ask to check this club out after I tag one in front of them. I considered myself an average driver until this club. Now it is extremely rare that anyone I play with can outdrive me either distance wise or accuracy wise. The feel off of this club is unbelievable. Substantially longer drives with less effort. Penetrating ball flight. Trajectory is very easy to control. Off center hits remain in play and are still surprisingly long and straight. This club is the definition of forgiving. I keep pretty close tabs on my driving stats. My average length increased by 27 yards with this club. But the big boomers are off the scale. This is the single best investment I have made in equipment. My purchase price was a little lower than store retail because of a couple of "cosmetic blemishes" on the club I bought.

Customer Service

Don't know anything about Golf Gear's customer service and hope to never find out. Golf Mart has been outstanding so far for me.

I traded in my old tayloer made last year bought a nickilas air max 360, I just love it good swing soild. Last Sunday on 18 this new guy in the group says hit this tsunami and you will buy it. I hit three balls off the 18th and called every golf shop trying to buy it. I got mine on the 18 of August love it, it is really scary. I'm a 9.6 and going down this driver is woderful. I don't want anyone else to buy it though. It is my secret!!!!!!!!!!!!! Buy the club longer more forgiving longer longer if I step on it I fly greens, back off a touch and drive through fairways not over the greens. WOW longest for ever

I'd been playing the Titleist 975J for about a year, and had been very satisfied...until the demo-day. I hit the Tsunami about ten times, and I was hooked. This thing just goes for days. It easily flies farther than my old driver's total distance, and is a legitimate 25 yards longer total, and that's just on average. My longest hits are probably 40 yards longer. It's uncanny. Accuracy is outstanding. I can fade it or draw it at will. I can hit it off the deck with no problem, which kind of surprised me, and it barely fades when I do it, which REALLY surprised me. I generally don't gush over golf clubs, but this is almost indescribable. My playing partners are just cracking up when they see me hit this thing. They've never seen me hit it this far or this well, and I guess they find it amusing. I'm now known as "Tsunami-Boy," and they're talking to me in mock-Japanese. Whatever...I just know that now I'm usually hitting last on my second shot.

Customer Service

Haven't had to deal with GolfGear, but customer service at Golf Discount is tremendous.

i own about 4 drivers, but never used them on the course because i had no control, so i got use to teeing off with my 3 wood. i avg about 230-250 so i was pretty satisfied. i finally decided to try the tsunami driver and i will never trade this in. no, i avg about 280 on my drives and i'm able to reach some of the par 5's in 2 (sometimes). highly recommend this to all handicapper. warning...do not overswing! you don't need to with this driver. tempo is key!

I've had many long drivers SMT, Bang, Taylormades, SnakeEyes, Ping, Cobra, Titliest, Cleveland... You name it, all new stuff. I'm currently using an exotic Kasco DNA AS from the pro tour. I put my newly acquired tsunami 340cc with harmon gxx shaft that one of the pros on the buy.com tour had been playing. This thing is hot! It blows my kasco away. Hits off the center curve back on line. If you see one snatch it up, you won't be disappointed. It probably is the longest driver I've hit.

For the longest time I was contect with my great big bertha and felt i didn't need a driver. 290 off the tee was more than enough and the consistency of the Great big bertha I thought was great as well. Then I browsed around and saw the tsunami and remembered hitting a friend's tsunami 300 back in the day and remembered how pure it was. needless to say i hit it on the range and was pleased and traded in my gbb for it and i'm very happy. That same day I played a round and had several 310+ drives.

Since this is my first new driver, I can't say it's the best out there, having only hit other tester clubs at the range when I bought this one. It seemed to be the most fogiving of my slice, and when I did hit it straight...well, let's just say I needed binoculars to see where the ball landed. It has added 30 yards to my drives. As further proof, I lent it to a playing partner on a long par 4 hole who had already hit his drive with his own club. He hit the exact same shot, and the ball went 25 yards further than his first. The only down side I can think of is true of most drivers that hit long, you'll lose a lot of balls if you try to swing too hard. This thing doesn't need a hard swing to hit it really far.

On the range I compared it to the TM 540, Big Bertha 2, Cobra SS 427. All good clubs, but I liked the Tsunami the best.

WOW! I had a TM200 that I loved, but after reading the Popular Science article, I felt it was time to move on to the TM580. MISTAKE! It give no feed back and does funny things to the ball flight. After giving the TM580 a fair chance, I moved on to a man's club. The Tsunami is easily 15-20 farther, more forgiving, and a better fooed back allowing you to alter your ball flight. The best driver I have ever owned!
