Golf Smith Hi-Cor X-20 Titanium Drivers

Golf Smith Hi-Cor X-20 Titanium Drivers

DESCRIPTION

The Hi-COR X-20 takes the Hi-COR design shape, adds 40cc of size and a draw bias flight pattern. Three large permanent brass weights are positioned in the rear heel area giving a draw gear effect. The weights alone total 20 grams and the ports add another 12 grams for a total of 32 grams concentrated in an area proven to significantly alter ball flight.

Bought and assembled the HiCor X-20 with an Aldila NV-65 R flex shaft at 45 inches length. Its the 11.5 degree model, but due to the weighting of the club head, plays much more like a 9.5 deg or 10 deg head, with a medium trajectory. All I can say is WOW! This club is a SLEDGEHAMMER! I had been playing a Taylor Made R7 HT, with stock R flex shaft, and normally driving the ball about 235 in the air, and getting some, but not lots of roll. With the HiCOr X-20, I am carrying the ball at least ten yards further, and getting additional roll. My overall average distance gain is on the order of 20 years. An added advantage is that due to the HiCor X-20 weighting, my ball flight is either straight or a slight draw, even when pushed right. And also, mis-hits tend to go farther and straighter than the other drivers I have used. In summary, the longest most easy to hit driver I have ever played. Oh yes, forgot to mention, I am not some "slicer hack" scoring in the mid 90's, my normal scores are in the mid 70s, better since I started playing this Golfsmith driver.

Assembled myself. 9.5* Hi-Cor R shaft Wynn Mid size grip. Plays beautifully. More attractive than any club on the market. I drive the ball better than most 80 shooters and keep up with most lower handicappers. Price and quality in a class by itself. Head on sale.Total material cost; $74.55. Great club for any golfer with a serviceable swing.
