KZG Gemini 395cc on an Apache SL-59 firm flex shaft fits the bill for me. I play with buddies who have the latest Ping, Taylor Made and Callaway drivers but it's my drives that end up in the fairway most of the time. I have also gained length and even with my 80% swing on tight fairways, my drives are still decent. You can never go wrong with the Gemini - the best investment I have made in golf ever.

I know this group is for drivers, but they haven't created a field for the new Gemini fairway woods. Great clubs. Bought them with stiff steel shafts, and love them. Every bit as good as the driver.

I've had this driver for about 8 months now and initially it was the best driver I have ever swung. After a couple of months, the fades and draws became more exaggerated. It seemed to hit "louder" as well. Just last week a horizontal crack appeared on the face, and it wasn't from abusive use. Anyway, my SS is about 118 and because of the double face, I think they're both too thin or close to each other to act as reinforcing. I am currently using the older ERC Fusion which hits about 20 yards further, but broken or not, it doesn't have the Gemini control.

Customer Service

I wasn't too happy with the crack, but apparently the shop I bought it from asked me for $20 to ship it back to KZG and are upgrading it to the new 460 for free. It is an inconvenience, but because of the replacement, they totally redeemed themselves. I hope the 460 has better construction but I'll also try my best not to swing for the fences.

Model Reviewed: 9° Gemini Driver w/accuflex Evolution shaft

Recently received my custom built 9° Gemini Driver with stiff Accuflex Evolution shaft +G8 Winn grip. This combo feels light when holding the club, but feels just right when swinging it. I bought this club based on the reviews touting its anti slice/hook corrective effects. By God, it's true. I have tried to slice the hell out of it, and the most I have managed is maybe 15 to 20 yards off center. You can still pull or push the ball, but even those mis-hits seem to be less severe. The bonus feature is that heel and toe hits still go almost as far as center hits. I am hitting the ball 270-280 and mis-hits still go about 250. With my Mizuno MP001 center hits would go about 260, but mis-hits would only go about 200-220. Haven't had it for long, but so far it seems to be living up to the hype.

Model Reviewed: KZG GEMINI 460

At first when I got this I did not like it. I decided to put this in the bag when my cleveland 400 started giving me some problems (draw face). This gemini face with a grafalloy NT Proto Xtra stiff is just the right combo for me (105-110 swing speed). Today I landed it 2 feet away from a hole that was 284 yards away; and another I landed 5 yards passed the hole on a 314 yard par 4. It is really scary how accurate I am now. This is truly my confidence club and will be in the bag with me for a long long time.

Purchased 395cc Gemini w/Fuji TourRelease 27.3 X-flex at 45inches. Low hcp w/125mph swing speed. I know my specs so putting the right combo wasn't hard. However, low hc's should check with a PGA pro or clubfitter to get the correct shaft. My longest measured shots have measured from a little over 300yds to one wind-aided drive of 353yds,with most falling in the 285-305 range when playing a tighter course. I just wished KZG would make a square face angled driver for better players. Otherwise this driver is good as anything regardless of cost.

Great stick, I started with the 355 last summer, and loved it also. I had an Aldila NVS in the 355, but I ordered the 460 with the new Blue NT proto. I demoed a new Callaway 454 at the range this week, and the gemini is about 15-20 yds longer for me than the Callaway. The Callaway was a 9deg, while my Gemini is a 10.5. But the Gemini is at least 15 yds longer, and more accurate and forgiving as well. This club will be in my bag for awhile.

I bought this 395cc Gemini driver in the winter and just started using it. Wow is it good. I hit near the heel alot and this driver keeps the ball straight. When I hit it on the screws, the ball really goes. I gained over 15yds over the Taylormade 580 easily. Sold the TM right away. I have a 95 - 100 driver swing speed and this club along with the Nv-55 stiff shaft gets me in the 280 yd range. Loving it so far.

Was able to pick up just a head, put it on a Foster Icarus shaft. I just didn't like this stick... I admit it well may have been I needed a better shaft, but there was just no "POP" to it... granted, it was very straight, but no WOW factor at all. Didn't seem like the face was hot at all, just a dull thud. I have a Alpha C830.2 in the bag, with a AJ Tech 4470 shaft and it is a rocket launcher. Even the 410cc MAC Burrows is a hotter stick, and almost as straight.

What a "driver", this thing should de ILEGAL, just hit the ball hard and you will hit it longggggggggg and streight as an arrow, feels really solid and if you hit it in the spot its UNREAL, trust me you have to try it one you wont be desapointed. Got mine @ Max 5 Golf here in Gardena, CA ask for Jerry and he will build you one to your specs, best price in town. Got mine with a Graffaloy Blue S tiped 3/4 pured/spined/flowed @ 45" and D2.
