Liquidmetal is getting out of the golf buisness and that is a shame. This model was the 2001 model and it is a very good club. I easily out distance my Callaway steelhead, although I still carry it because it is a very accurate and forgiving club. The liquidmetal gives me a power fade that I never had before, but after two buckets I hit my last 15 balls dead straight. Although it may take a little practice to really get this club working correctly, once you do it is really worth it. I read that the 2002 PJ model is even more forgiving and a little longer. I recommend getting one soon, either the PJ or HLS, because without the lm golf division around you may not be able to find one at all.

Customer Service

dont know if the warranty still applies, the corporation is still there, but the golf division is no more, anyones guess.

Fairly small sweet spot, but if you can hit it the balls rockets. Even off-sweet-spots hits go pretty straight with decent distance. This model has a 260cc head. I''d like to try their new 320cc with bigger sweet spot. This club is a great value on closeout a TGW.com.

This driver is great! I just started playing two months ago and I''ve been practicing with this driver for bout a week. Before I''d use my dad''s driver and had the world''s worst slice. But after fixing a coupla things in my swing and using the HLS 9.5 i launch it bout 250 on the fly.

Excellent driver. Spent two days demo''ng the club. Put it through it''s paces hitting many buckets over the two day period. Better than my Callaway. Highly recommended. The model is on sale going from a 399.99 club to 149.00. At this price jas to be the best valued driver on the market.

Always used a 3W off the tee because I could never control my driver (big slice). But all my regular golfing buddies purchased new drivers over the past year, so I had to keep up with the Joneses... Hit my friend's drivers as well as a host of others at the range where I purchased fairway woods earlier in the year. Really liked the TM320, but couldn't justify the price. At about that time, I saw the Liquid Metal infomercial. No dealer within my area, but with ebay everything is as close as your keyboard. So I searched for one using the same measurements as my fairway woods. Found a brand new one, bid $229, and won. It's an absolutely beautiful looking golf club with an almost mirror-like face. But at first, I couldn't hit it worth a damn (bigger slice) so it stayed in my bag. But after about a month of solid practice at the range, I've found myself able to control it. And I love this club! Cracked one about 320 yards, but most go 230-250. The regular flex shaft is like a whip, as one other poster mentioned, but it works for me. Would have loved to have tried the stiff shaft, but I didn't have that option available. Guess this club retails for $399, which puts it up there with the new Taylor Made models. If price was no concern, I'd have probably gone with the TM320 or PingTiSi. But I outdrive my friends who play those clubs more often than they outdrive me. The ball really does rocket off the face.

Model Reviewed: LiquidMetal HLS 9.5 stiff

I went to the local range to demo some dirvers, when the shop pro stuck the Liquid Metal in my hand. I really had low expectations for the thing, "could not be as good as the Titleist" I thought. I am glad he asked me to hit it though...I mean the way the ball jumped off the face of the club...this baby was smokin! One after the other. I hit the 975D well, but the HLS gave me about 5-10 more. I recommend you hit this driver, your results may vary ;D. BTW, the stiff shaft is about a reg flex, and the reg. is almost a whip.

I bought this club on sale at TGW. What a great driver. Very good feel, sound at impact and good accuracy. I also use a cleveland quadpro with EI70, which I am quite happy with and an ERCII that I cant hit; as far as distance between those 3 clubs, I hit them within 5-10yds with the best accuracy for the cleveland and then the HLS and callaway ERCII.

The longest hitting driver I have ever used. It's important to get fitted for this club. Generally you need more loft on this club because you don't get the ballooning that titanium gives you. Solid feeling club. Looks good at setup.

Customer Service

The people at Liquidmetal were very helpful to me when selecting the correct loft and shaft. They were very knowledgeable about the game of golf.

After one time at the range I fell in love with this club. No wonder Azinger switched to it. Not only am I getting more distance because of a more boring trajectory producing more role, more importantly I am hitting the ball much straighter. It is nice to be able to control my tee shots. I will soon be shooting in the 70's. The price is steep but I definately recommend demoing one to see if it works as nicely for you as it does me.
