I've been playing my TaylorMade R5 Dual, 9.5 degrees, with a ProLaunch Blue 65-stiff shaft for a while now and enjoying decent drives. When I'm striking it well, I can hit it 275+.

In my quest for a new driver, I wasn't sure what I was looking for but knew for certain that I did not like the new huge clubheads on the market. I considered models from Titleist, Nike, Cleveland, TaylorMade and a few others but none none had the feel/sound I prefer. I'm also very cognizant of the effect the shaft has on the club and have spent more time reading about them than I care to admit.

I happened to be in the shop the other day getting my irons regripped and asked the sales guy for a good driver with a small-looking head. He emerged with Mizuno's MP600. Not really interested in tweaking the weights, I set it up in the neutral position and figured I'd fix my swing if needed.

After 150 balls on the range and 18 holes the last two mornings, I'm in love with this driver. The two words that best describe it are "stable" and "solid". What a wonderful feeling this club has to it...no twisting, no warping, nothing. I'm playing the 9.5 degree loft with the Fujikura E-360/stiff. My game is based on confidence and feel and this driver gives me both in spades. My distance over the last two rounds has been 290+ with the longest being just under 350 (drove the green on a 347 downhill par four; scored an eagle). Accuracy is spot on...excluding a dead pull on an overswing (was trying to drive the green on a 375 downhill par four), I've been very pleased with fairways hit and predictability of ball flight.

No club can correct swing flaws or mental lapses but this club gives me great confidence at address and mid-swing. With this club in my hands, I know during my backswing that this next ball I hit is going to be a good one.

WOW!!!!!! This club is GREAT!!! I have been looking for driver that I loved as much as the Titleist 975 J. I have played the Titleist 905,Ping G2,Taylormade R7, and Burner and have yet to feel excited to walk on the tee box. This club is weighted perfect and the ball explodes off the face and carries forever. If you have been playing the top of the line drivers and are still not happy....pick up the MP 600 and you will be in heaven. I don't write reviews but I had to after playing this club that has great feel, workability, distance and control. I don't know why this club doesn't get a lot of ink but I am so glad that I carry a Mizuno bag and a guy at the driving range asked if I played the MP 600. I told him no and he proceeded to tell me how great it was and the guy had a great swing so I knew he that he was a player and not someone who didn't know anything about golf. I was swinging my Burner and was not very happy so I thought I would demo a MP 600 the next day. Well as you can tell the rest is history.

Finally got my drive swing into a groove and proceeded to test drivers from the game improvement varieties such as the Mizuno MX560 and Cobra F Speed LD to player types like Ping G10, Titleist 907D2, and this one. This one was long, straight, workable, pleasing at set-up, and the sweetest feel when well struck. Mine has the Fujikura Fit-On 360 in Regular Flex. It was so satisfactory in performance, trajectory, and feel that I didn't feel the need to test the Exsar at all. The ability to adjust from neutral, fade, or draw and spin rate is a great bonus in versality. Mizuno has a stepped up to the top in drivers with this one.

After 3 years of intensive search I found a playable low-spin Driver: MP-600 is a killer.

Some history first: I tend to play all my clubs way to high. Same with driver. Actually, my drives even stopped on the greens of short par 4 holes - no joke. No roll at all.

Currently I play a R7 (Max) with standard shaft that I have to replace this year. Thank you R A...

I hit the fairways but no roll at all. Since 3 years I am testing and testing, latest were XLS, Burner, 5900, MX 560, D2 and Ping G10 (was the most solid and had the best sound) to name a few. But same problem, stopped on a dime.
The only driver I got some roll with was a 905T with a Grafalloy Blue (S). Felt like a bridge pier and for a hcp 16 hard to play...

I didn't want to test the MP 600 but they had a tester (9,5 with Exsar stock shaft in S, 59g) available so I took it out to the range (it's hard to find tester in Germany so you take what you get) - WOW straight, nice sound, solif feedback, very low ball flight, and seemed to have some roll. Hard to see because our range goes uphill. I decided to take it with me on a singel evening round of 3 holes. Played 2 balls every hole. My TM 7r had the usual ball flight and felt much longer because the MP600 was so low. When I approached the balls I couldn't believe it. MP overtook my R7 about 10-25 yards every single hole. And straight. Straighter than all others I tested.

I was shocked and decided to bag it on my Sunday round. Same, incredibly long (260-275 yards) and ROLL - Rock n'Roll. Had up to 2 irons less in the green, 7 instead of 5, etc. And I hit a decent drive in the wind, boring trajectory, wind was not an issue anymore.

I generally have trouble with excess spin but since switching to the MP-600 I've seen a significant increase in overall distance, consistency in the wind, and distance forgiveness on mis-hits.

The fast-track is legit - weights are easy to move and pretty effective. I have this with the Pro-Launch red shaft for a mid-launch but very low spin combo. The driver has a neutral set-up but obviously the weights allow you to tweak flight.

Overall, I'm extremely impressed with the product quality, sound, feel, forgiveness, and distance. This driver delivers.
