Nickent Golf Genex 425 Forged Drivers

DESCRIPTION

SP-700 Titanium Alloy: Superplastic titanium alloy Exceptional strength-to-weight ratio High resistance to stress fatigue Superplastic (SP) titanium alloys emerged in the late 1990’s in answer to increased demand from the military, aerospace and commercial aviation industries for higher strength, fatigue-resistant titanium for use in the manufacture of a new generation of commercial and military aircraft. Developed by NKK Corporation (Japan), SP-700 is a beta-rich titanium alloy (4.5% aluminum, 3% vanadium, 2% molybdenum, 2% iron) that exhibits an exceptionally high strength-to-weight ratio relative to conventional titanium alloys. SP-700 Forged Faceplate™ Technology: Thin face design for maximum rebound speed. As a crossover technology, SP-700 has proven invaluable to the development of the Genex 425 Forged woods. Because of it’s enhanced mechanical properties (low density, high strength-to-weight ratio, high resistance to deformation and stress fatigue), SP-700 has allowed us to develop an extremely thin, incredibly responsive clubface that delivers the highest rebound speeds permissible under the new COR ruling. COR Speed Zone™ Technology Variable face thickness geometry Expanded effective rebound area

Model Reviewed: Genex SP-700 425 Driver

I bought my Genex 425 (9 deg., 95+ shaft) last summer at a second hand sporting goods store for $30 (and it looked as though it had never been hit)about a month after seeing it reviewed in a golf magazine with a retail price of $300 (or more). I just bought it for the purpose of taking it to the golf store and reselling it, knowing that they would give me much more than the $30 I paid. At the time I was very happy with my Nike driver (350) but decided to try the Genex out before trading it in. Boy was I surprised. This is the best driver I have ever hit, with drives that are long and straight. I have since tried a few other drivers (TM R580, Cobra 440, Nike Ignite), but haven't found anything comparable. My golf partners have also been very impressed and one even recently bought the same driver new, paying $279! I'm not a great golfer, so I can't comment on how this driver compares to the others in terms of working the ball, but it works great for me.

Awesome driver - hit it FAR and STRAIGHT every time. Very forgiving and better distance than any of my other drivers. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to improve his/her golf game.

First off I am relatively new to golf and admit my swing is pretty bad. In order to keep some enthusiasm up I purchased the 12degree tip active 85+ mph driver(my swing speed on the high end is 86mph). IF I can hit this club anyone can. I work with a lot of people that are avid golfers and have tried countless drivers, some even custom made by some of these guys. This club is so forgiving I can not believe it. My hits are straighter than even I can believe. The next best club I have used is the Golsmith HiCor 13.5 degree driver. The Genex sounds better, hits just as far but is so much straighter and more consistent. Time will tell as the durability of the unit but my understanding is that it has a lifetime warranty.

I bought Nickent Genex Ti Iron-Woods and P-6 iron. They are great clubs and improved my distance and accuracy. However, I noticed that the club face of all..scratches are evident after a few swings at the practice range. My swing speed is in the mid 70's.

Customer Service

I like the feel and recommend this club to high handicappers like me.

Swinging this pumpkin was surprisingly easy to get used to. The 55g shaft allowed for plenty of clubhead speed (I didn't lose any over my Adams, which I thought I might from the large head). Distance wise, this thing is the longest I've used. The ball really does hang in the air a long time. The large head is very forgiving also. My main criticism of the club is the hook face. I've had a tendency to hook all my drives and have just gotten used to it. I was able to compensate successfully by moving the ball back slightly in my stance. Comapared to my Adams, this club seems a little hotter off the face (this is the .830 COR version) and has a similar trajectory. It is definitely a lot longer than my GBB or Goldwin Aluminum (a good 20yds). I just demo'd the Callaway GBBII and found it easier to hit consistent straight drives, but suspect my Nickent is a bit longer. After hitting the longest drive in WNY conditions I've ever managed, I really felt technology has gotten out of hand. Anyone wanna go back to persimmon and balata?

Model Reviewed: Genex Ti 9*

I had to write a review about this driver. It is the absolute best in drivers on the market today. I work at a golf store and have had the opportunity to demo everything. We also have the opportunity to buy and hit anything we choose. If you've tried this driver then it won't surprise you that every employee at the store plays the Genex. Nickent Golf has made some super clubs in recent years but the Genex is awesome. The driver in my bag previously was the Cleveland Launcher 330. I loved that driver until I had the chance to hit the Genex Ti. Extremely long and super consistent drives best describe this club. I've reached distances I didn't think possible (approching 300yds). But the selling point for me is the accuracy. I haven't had a bad drive yet. Even a bad swing produces good results; talk about ultimate forgiveness. I don't mind showing this club to any customer looking for a driver. They may walk in looking for a Ping or Titleist, but they hit the Genex and they leave happy with the Genex. The technology behind the club is first rate. They use an extremely strong and thin SP-700 titanium for the face that is very hot. The sweet spot is enormous. Perhaps the best feature of the club is the shaft. A 55 gram speedrated UST shaft with 2.5* of torque. We checked it, the only shaft with a torque of 2.5 is the Fujikura Speeder, a $200 shaft at 67 grams. Soon you'll find this 55 gram UST in everything. I've said enough. Nickent Golf has done something right. Try the Genex for a fraction of the price and you'll see its a great club.

Customer Service

Nickent Golf has been awesome in our many years of dealing with them. Lifetime warranty and they back it up.

Bought this driver about 2 months ago...best I've hit. Straighter and longer, able to work the ball when needed. Ball seems to hang in the air longer...makes me more confident, which results in better swings.
