Nike 350CC 8.0 Graff & Stock X-Stiff
Originally bought this with a stock stiff shaft and had it measured on a frequency meter. To my surprise it measured at a 7.4 which is right at an X+! Even though the shaft rated pretty stiff it still didn't feel stable through the hitting area so I reshafted it with a Graffaloy Prolite X. MUCH better performance. With the original shaft, I recieved pretty good results. With the new shaft, the performance was unbelievable. I think there has been a lot of negative critisism from a lot of golfers out there with regards to Nike gear and I honestly don't know why. This driver feels better (to me) than ANY driver I have tested. It reminds me of a cross between the old Taylor Made TI Bubb II and the 975D. Distance is first rate, and the Launch angle suits me perfectly. Forgiveness is above average, but slightly below some of the newer hugeheaded drivers. My previous driver was a Taylor Made 320 8.5 w/ a Graphite Design TX shaft. I performed a comparison test utilizing the GOLF ACHEIVER on ball speed/launch/spin rate and here were my results. TAYLOR MADE 320 8.5 [BALL SPEED 161 MPH] [LAUNCH 14.1 degrees] [SPIN 3876 RPM] [AVG CARRY 253 YDS] NIKE 350 8.0 [BALL SPEED 163 MPH] [LAUNCH 12.3 DEGREES] [AVG CARRY 264 YDS] These results were acheived using 10 swings with the same tee height and balls (PROVI*). For the record, avg Clubhead speed is 121 MPH. While the ACHIEVER tests indicate only carry, I'd say I have gained 15 yds. I think the previous posters that said they lose yardage did not get try a club that fits their swing. I would recommend this club to anyone but you must try different lofts/shafts/flexes before you make your desicion. 350 cc 9.5 Stiff
I work in a local golf shop, and having hit every driver under the sun I chose to go with this club because while it is oversized it does not set up as closed as other clubs, has a much less harsh feel at impact, and hits perfect trajectories. (And, I'll admit it, I'm a David Duval fan.) I think the reason some folks haven't liked this driver is the muted feel which fools guys into thinking the face is not as hot, the Fujikura shaft plays much stiffer than most other shafts which will cause Average Joe to lose some distance, and also this club is much quieter than most on the market. In my opinion the major reason why the 300 series and the new Cobra driver (both good clubs) sell so well is that they "sound" like they kill the ball, which instills confidence. If you are looking at the Nike as a possible choice, don't be fooled by the muted feel or the quiet impact. This club is just as long as anything else on the market, but where it is superior is in the feel and aesthetics department. If you've always swung a firm or stiff in other shafts, don't be afraid to try the Reg. either. All told, this club is great and I don't anticipate replacing it any time soon. Been hitting it very deep and straight on a regular basis. Customer Service No beefs to speak of Similar Products Used: You name it, I've hit it... alot |

Nike Forged titanium Driver 10.5*
I was struggling with my driver, so I went to the Golfsmith to purchase a PING TISI tec. I test drove (indoors) the TISI tec as well as Nike. Much to my surprise, I was more cosistant in hitting the sweet spot with the Nike over the PING. After much debat, i purchased the Nike. This baby is long off the tee, and I have never hit a driver that is as forgiving. Now when I use my driver, I know that I'm going to hit it long and straight. It sounds great. It feels great. Whoa! The one BIG problem with this club is the headcover. I don't know what Nike was thinking when they decided to go with this cheap piece of crap! You pay big bucks for this driver and they give you a clubhead that I would'nt put on a el cheapo wal mart driver. I quickly replaced this nasty looking thing with a generic black cover. Nike should be ashame of themselves. Nike is all into image, but someone decided that THIS cover would be a nice touch with their badass driver. It's a good thing their driver is a hammer. Nike Forged Driver
This is a very good if not great driver. I got the 350 cc 9.5 stiff. I picked up at least 10-15 yards off the tee from my old Hawk Eye Pro (not vft). This club is relatively easy to hit. It is not a super jumbo like some the 400+ cc drivers. But off center hits still do well. Centered hits fly off the face like a bat out of you know what. What I truly like is the low ball flight. The flight is the no spin knuckle ball that I like. This gives tons of roll, so know your yardages off the tee. An added bonus is that it keeps it out of the wind. If you looking for a knew driver this one should be on your list. There are 2 negatives. The finish and looks of the club are great but not as durable as I would like. And you have to be careful with the headcover. The zipper can scratch the paint as it did with mine. I sewed in a piece of cloth to cover the zipper, very easy. Nike 10.5* Stiff
Great club. About 5-10 more yards and better driving consistently. I am constantly hitting a 5-10 yard fade and putting the ball in the middle of the fairway about 275 yards out. It just puts a short iron in my hand and has caused me to lower my scores since I bought it. Though a little pricey for a beginner but if you plan on playing alot it is well worth it. 9.5* ( stiff & x-stiff ) 275cc
demoed this and a couple other drivers when i purchased my launcher 8.5*. i liked this driver very much in the x-stiff version, club head appears bigger than it actually is, giving added confidence at address. consistant distance and excellent trajectories, somewhat muted feel at impact. i purchased the launcher based on slightly longer distances, high quality stock shaft, and more lively feel at impact. do not mis-understand me, the nike driver is great. if you do not like the new jumbo heads this one is for you. 350cc, 9.5 degree
Went to a demoday and bought the 350cc, 9.5 degree, stock stiff shaft (made by Fujikura) about 2 months ago. I have played about 10 rounds with it and really like it a lot. Its looks great at address and hits the ball a ton. I track my averaging driving stats and I've picked up about 5 yards on average with this driver (272 average). The only downsides are the price (little too high in my book) and the headcover. I bought the Nike regular headcover on TGW.com for $10 to replace the crappy zippered driver that comes with it. Come on Nike! For $389, at least give us a nice headcover! Customer Service Haven't tried them yet. Similar Products Used: I tried just about everything except the Cleveland Launcher. |
