I got this driver after struggling with my Cleveland launcher 330cc for a bit. I figured that at this price, I couldn't go wrong. Took it out to the range and hit about 50 balls with it and could feel and hear the ball come off the head much more solid. It felt hotter ! Took it to the course the next day and had some good drives, but the best was that I didn't have any real bad ones. Slices/Pushes were still in play and didn't loose too much distance. Popups too got good distance. Conclusion : Orlimar has accomplished what it said they would. They have created a more forgiving club all across the face instead of just the sweet spot. And the price you will pay for this cannot be beat. I also tried a 983K of my friend side by side at the range and hit the orlimar further and with better trajectory. I guess it's the technology that counts, which Orlimar had but just couldn't market right.

After not playing golf for about 6 years I've got the bug again. I decided to re-tool and start from scratch with all new equipment. I tried at least 15 different drivers and it came down to the Titilest J and this Orlimar HipTi 340cc 10.5* with a regular shaft. I've never owned a driver that was so easy to hit. It's made this game a lot easier and I don't feel like I have to work very hard to his this thing. I would suggest it to anyone. Also keep in mind that clubhead speed is not the only a factor in choosing a shaft flex. This regular fits me fine and my swing speed was measured at 115 last week. Drives tend to carry 280 or so with a smooth swing. I just purchased another one on Ebay 315cc and 9.5*. As golf muscles have begin to come back, I'm starting to hit it a little too high. You an't go wrong with this club. Jim

I've read that the Fujikura stiff shaft in these clubs measure out at regular. However, I can on this driver as hard as I want at 98-105mph and the shaft performs great! The clubhead is very forgiving and straight. At 8.5 degrees the trajectory is boring (I think ideal and gives excellent roll. The bulge and roll of the face seems a little greater that some but is perfect from my experience. Open toe hits still go straight. Awesome club. Very nice looking club. I've only used it 4 rounds so far but each round has been one of my best in years. Seems very solid and high quality. Much better than GBB/Steelhead types, Taylor Made 300. Better than the SMT Shinnecock and Nemesis, Integra 405, Taylor Made 360. Actually, this club approaches "astounding". My golf buddies don't want to tee up after me anymore because they end up trying to heave the ball out there with me. I'm splitting the fairways out at 280 where the fairways narrow.

Bought this club on e-bay for a brother-in-law, but he didn't want it so I was forced to keep it. Tried to sell it to friends but nobody wanted to try it. Bad luck for them, good luck for me. The game has almost turned into pitch and putt with the drives going consistently far and straight. With any particular driver, I have been able to move the ball one way or the other but not both ways. I can move the ball either way with the Orlimar and because it has been designed to primarily go straight, it is difficult to do much more than hit a fade or draw. Very rarely do I hit the big hook and the high, short floater to the right has disappeared. I was not unhappy with my 975D, but once I tried the Orlimar, the Titleist went back to the bin. No difference with distance, but the Orlimar is just so much easier to hit straight and to move it either way when required.

I demo'd the 420cc and hit it so far and straight , I thought I'd search ebay for an even cheaper price. The smaller heads like the 300,315 and 340 were being offered brand new with a variety of custom shafts(thermopro, grafalloy, penley etc.) I tried the 300 with the grafalloy prolite. First time out I hit several drives in the 300 =320 range. This club with this shaft is very long and straight. I can't believe how cheaply I got it new. I would highly reccomend this head, as it is very forgiving and extremely hot. The ball jumps off the face.

Excellent product. I received it last night from the UPS guy and just got back from the driving range. It was amazing! I hit about 20 balls balls with it and about 17 were straight as an arrow. I had to stop using it because the range is only about 300 yards long and I was hitting the ball onto the course! Excellent buy. I can't wait to go back out.

What a pleasant surprise. This thing is long and straight. I might get a few more yards out of my golfgear tsunami on offcenter hits. I've used just about every new driver out there including some from the pro tour. This thing rocks!

This driver is SO nice.. For a while I have been trying different drivers like Taylor Made R540 and R580, some different Nike drivers, King Cobra 350 cc, 370cc and 430cc(the largest of them!!), Cleveland Launcher, Mizunu Bluefire.. However this club.. The Orlimar Hip Ti 420cc is just NICE.. At my second stroke i knocked the hell out of my ball, even when I hit the ball bad it went even longer than my best drives when my old driver.. The only thing i wanted was confidence, and accurate on tee... That I got now... It's accurate, it has a nice sound and a great feeling.. I have now ordered it... I just have to own this club.. I ordered it with the Fujikura Stiff shaft... Really nice shaft.. If you are looking for a new driver... Try this out before any thing else..

I bought the head on ebay for 75.00, I had a SST Pured, UST Super 47 Lite graphite shaft installed, with a Winn Grip. This driver hits fantastic. Everyone who hits this driver loves it.I originally purchased a Olimar Hip Ti 9.5 driver when it first came out for $399.00, but when I saw this head for $75.00 I couldn't pass it up.There have been many people on the golf course that I meet, while I am playing that want to try my driver out. If they are a competent player then I let them try it. I don't want any Sky marks on the head. I have confidence when I step up to the tee box with my drivers, but my favorite is the 10.5, you can't go wrong with either.
