After the re-shaft to a EI70+ stiff shaft, my Orlimar driver was awsome. The consistenctcy was great. Used to jump for joy @ 205 drive, now we're talking 230 & straight.

Customer Service

Great job on the re-shaft.

Model Reviewed: 9.5* with EI-70 stiff shaft

After trying a few clubs, I have this to say. I used a 10.5* King Cobra Ti driver for a couple of years. I found that I wasn't get enough height or distance from this club. Before purchasing my Orlimar, I played a few rounds with a 8* Taylor Made Burner Bubble with a stiff shaft. Although it went pretty straight, I was not impressed. The ball just seemed to sky rocket into the air, even with only 8* of loft. I had been playing with Orlimar fairway woods so I decided to try the Orlimar driver. Awsome club. Looks great at address, not too big like most of the new clubs out there now. The 9.5* was the perfect loft for me. It went higher than my 10.5* King Cobra, and lower than the 8* Taylor Made Burner, figure that one out. I increased my distance by about 20-30 yards over the King Cobra Ti, as well as staying almost dead straight. When hitting into the wind, the ball seemed to have a boring trajectory to it. Not too big or small. Doesn't cost too much. Overall this club is excellent. If you are looking for a driver that will give you distance and straightness, the Orlimar Trimetal+ is one club that you should seriously consider.

Been using the Orlimar 13 degree fairway metal for a while and hit it a ton so I figured I'd try one of their drivers. First of all, this is not a driver for a higher handicapper looking for a miracle since truly "long" drives require a "dead center hit" on the clubface. Very small sweet spot. On the brighter side, this driver imparts very little side spin on the ball so slicers or hookers may like it but I would recommend at least a 9.5 degree loft. Not as long as my Ping TISI, Titleist 975D or my Integra IV 330 "but" more accurate. Low boring trajectory and tons of roll. Looks good at address and sounds solid at impact. Trash the cord grip however and install something else. When I orignally tried this club I hated it primarily because of the grip! All in all, an excellent driver for the price. For those golfers who need to "work the ball", look elsewhere. This driver is designed to hit straight!

Just about everything. Believe it or not, my longest hitting drivers have been built from components.

For a hacker looking for more distance, these are as long as any driver that I've found. I do not like the larger-headed drivers, however, the original Orlimar head was too small. The nice surprise is that this driver is very forgiving--most shots fly straight

Model Reviewed: Orlimar Trimetal Plus 9.5 with Tour Stiff EI 70

I have had this club for several months now and i dont really like it. When i first bought it it had the ei70 stiff shaft and that was too whippy, so i had to go to the Tour Stiff shaft. Much better results. The club hits the ball too high. I reccomend this to people that have trouble getting the ball airborne, but since i swing 119 mph, thats obviously not a problem for me. Hits the ball a long way on center hits, but like i said too high of a trajectory for me. But still a good club overall. I reccomend this to anyone who wants a good overall driver with good forgiveness.

This driver is absolutely terrific. I was predisposed to like because I can get annoyed with the huge titanium drivers. I easily hit the Orlimar farther than other drivers I tested, including the Ping TiSi and Taylor Made 300, and I hit many more fairways with it. However, it is not always very forgiving, for the first day i owned it I drove horribly, but the next day I made some adjustments and did great. I would recomend trying before buying.

This driver isn't a miracle worker, but it really gets the job done. 10-20 more yards than my old stick, but the accuracy is great. If you put anything resembling a real swing on the ball with this club you'll definitely find the fairway. It has a medium size head which i think looks better at adress, and the EI70+ shaft is amazing. Even if you don't get this club (Which i recommend you try) you should definitely try the True Temper shaft. The cord grip was really bad, i traded it in for a Lamkin Tour Wrap. The sound of this club at impact is very pure. Go try this club for yourself

This club is long, straight and low. The ball doesn't carry as well as my wilson titanium 9 degree. Best results require hitting dead center on the club face. The ball leaves the face with little spin so don't expect to be able to manuever the ball. This club works better for me than other drivers . I've tried them all. Some golfers I've talked to have complained about head durability but mine has held up well after 50 rounds and thousands of range balls. The average golfer won't benefit from this club. Swing speeds need to be over 100mph to get a proper ball flight. Off the deck I use an 11 degree tri metal fairway wood.

After reading reviews on this site and taking some swings at a local Copelands, I decided on this club. I tried most of the major brands including Callaway and Ping, and no other club inspired the confidence that this one does. As so many other reviewers have stated, the ball really flies off the club face, with the appealing "tink" sound common to titanium faced clubs. While I am a high handicapper, I found this club relatively easy to hit in play, as long as I didn't try too hard to kill the ball. Working the ball was also relatively easy, thanks again to the moderate head size. Expect 200+ yards with this club. A friend, who is a much better golfer than I, thought the firm graphite shaft (not the EI 70) was a little flimsy compared to his Callaway. After 2 days on the course, and the longest drives of my life, I know I made the right choice. My value rating is based on the $100 clearance price that I paid.

I bought the Orlimar 14 deg EI 70+ 3 wood first and really love it. After seeing a lot of tour players using it at the Honda and Doral.

I bought a Ping ISI with a UST 75 stiff shaft. Having major problems with it. Not hitting it very far or high.

Went to my local golf shop and they said I was fitted wrong. They said why not try the Orlimar deep face driver with the same shaft as my 3 wood since I hit it so well. Also there is a 30 day money back trail on it.

So I did. The ball explodes off the cub face. I don't have to muscle it like the Ping. Hitting close to 300 yard drives with it.
I'm just wondering if I should go for the 8 deg since I had an 8 deg Bubble before and hit great with a draw.
you can't go wrong with this club.
