I recently purchased the I3 Irons and thought if Ping's Drivers are as good as the Irons, I must drive a few balls. I hit the 8.5 RUD Stiff Flex and from the first to last ball it shamed my Burnner. I mean SHAMED!!! I normally slice most drives, they were all stright with the Ping and 20-30 yrds further. Now I'm saving my pennies and scanning the auctions. Ping Ti Si 10 degree, regular flex
I bought this club having read the glorious reviews on this page, and others. I had intended to buy a Hawkeye but was dissuaded by the salesperson in the shop. He also ranted about the Ping, and had one for a bit less than $290. This was in early March. But March, April and May were very frustrating months with only occasional glimpses of the promise that other reviewers have waxed about. But I persevered, and I am now glad I did. A good driver, won't cure a bad swing, and the Ping is no exception. Only now that I have spent some time trying to refine my swing, do I see the improvements. I am still not hitting the distances some claim, but I am getting longer (maybe, 270 on a good drive), and straighter. Slices (which used to plagued my drives) are getting fewer. Club or player? Probably a bit of both. My advice: if you don't have that swing, invest in lessons and practice. Once you can crush other drivers, the Ping TiSi will astound you. I am keeping mine. After trying several different drivers (pure spin), (Callaway warbird), and the most popular Titleist 975d, when deciding which driver to buy I picked up the ping and was just amazed at what a great feel it has at contact not like the titleist(which i liked) which seemed to have a somewhat muted feel. My only gripe (which isnt a big one) is that the shaft is to whippy so I decided to put in a pro force 65 stiff flex and that made all the difference in the world. I now hit 300+ drives consistently. I am right at six feet. A guy who made it to the Tour convinced me to cut down the shaft from 45" to 44". Probably cost me a few yards, but I now have unbelievable feel and control (and great sound, huh?). Similar Products Used: None |

Best driver I ever owned. You will be in the fairway more often. Much longer than any driver I have owned especially on smooth swings. First round under 80 (76) was a result of this driver. It flat out finds fairways. Your partners will love you in scrambles. You will get comments like " I've never seen anyone hit it that long.....and straight." I am going to replace the shaft to the ProForce 65. This will make this club even better. Similar Products Used: Great Big, Taylor Ti 2 |

Ping TISI 8.5* w/ ProForce 65
This is a wonderful club. Very forgiving and plenty long. A word of advice. The shaft on the driver is not the greatest (my opinion). I had my Ping Stiff shaft replaced with a ProForce 65 stiff shaft and it makes all the difference in the world. Do not send it to Ping WRX - too much $$$. I had mine replaced in Las Vegas @ Desert Inn Golf Shop(not the course pro shop, but a few miles down the road) - $70.00!! Once again, great driver, worth the $$$. This is by far the best driver I have hit. The ball expoldes off the face with that trampoline like feel.Only complaint Paint chips off ( mostly my fault. My first swing was in the rain and the club slipped out of my hands, and with all the grass on a golf course, it landed on the cart path! AHHH!!!) Perfect club for any golfer Similar Products Used: Orlimar 9*, Titleist 975D 8.5* |

An excellent club. Added 5-10 yards to my drives. Has amazing feel. May have the purest sound of any driver in the game. A tad on the expensive side. Similar Products Used: Callaway Steelhead plus |

I stayed away from this "bowling ball on a stick" for a while because I fancied myself a "purist." MY MISTAKE. Although it took me a while to get used to this stick, I now wouldn't trade it for anything out there. The length is great and the forgiveness equally wonderful Similar Products Used: Mizuno Mighty Big, Cleveland TA Titanium, Calloway BBB |

It is a very long driver but it is easy to lose to the right. With the big head it is sometimes hard to square it up at impact. When the swing is on the driver is hard to beat in length and in fairways hit. Similar Products Used: Most Everything |
