The best driver I have ever hit. I played a Titleist 970 year before last. Played a Callaway Hawkeye last year. Thought I was over buying another driver for a while. Unfortunately I tried the Taylor Made 320 with s-90 shaft. I needed to only hit 30 balls on the range with both the Callaway and the Taylor Made and I bought my first Taylor Made ever. Added enough distance and accuracy to go from hitting eight irons from 150 yds. out to hitting wedges from 90 to 120 yards. It's a lot easier playing second shots from this range.

Let me tell you what I have found out with this new driver for the past 2 months.

To be honest, I am a big Ernie Els fan and his change to this driver might have influenced me. But what I have felt so far is true.

I think it's the best driver out there ( of course there are some new drivers out there that I haven't tried. like 975J and HipTI, which claim they are superior to any club out there..). It feels very smooth compared to the huge feedback of Ping Tisi, and although it's personal preference, I like the buttery feel of 320 better. And with its stock shaft, it's a very easy swinging club. If you prefer to feel the head, you might want to change to other custom lightweght shaft, but i am not going to. The shaft is, to me, stiff enough (i am 24 years old and swing my club a tic over 100mph), and it feels great. Yes, I have ballooned several balls with this club early on, because I was constantly hitting down on balls.. but as soon as I start hitting upward, it didn't happen anymore.

Is this club long? Well.. to me, it is not longer than my old driver callaway hawkeye 10'(not VFT), but it's a LOT more forgiving than the driver that I thought was most forgiving of all. But it doesn't mean I don't get enough feedback. Well.. it might not give you enough feedback than few others, but I feel where I hit the ball - which is important to me. But the difference is - the ball goes almost the same way! So.. when I was assuming that the ball went OB cause I did a very bad swing, my friends would say "nice shot"!!! Isn't that just what you want? Getting good result from bad things while you know what went wrong?

Anyway, it gives me good trajectory(I think it's average traj - a pretty one at that), very pleasant feeling (smooth as butter - just like some of the irons..), and sounds ok (ERC is the best sounding driver out there - it makes sound sooo loud that everyone around will look at you, and it might even hurt your eardrum - so you gotta produce some good results)

Highly recommended!!!

This product is the best driver I have ever hit. Even when I hit off of the toe of the club, the ball not only still goes far, but it also goes straight. With the variety of degrees and stiffmess, this club can be purchased for any player. The first one that I bought, fell apart in the first ten hole, but the replacement is great.

Like I said in my review on the Callaway VFT, I hit both of these side-by-side for an hour (I must have hit 100 total shots, at least).

It's like choosing between Miss America and Miss USA as far as I'm concerned. I can't for the life of me understand how either clubs gets less than four stars from anyone.

TM might be sligtly more forgiving, particularly for those who miss out on the toe. VFT might be more forgiving for those who hit low or how on the clubface.

I think the VFT, when hit on the screws, might be a touch longer.

Stock shaft in VFT seemed a bit more stable to me, much more so than previous models such as GBB, and Hawkeye.

Don't know which I'll choose yet. Want to hit one more time, as I'm spending $400 bucks either way.

But, come on now, you folks who give either one of these clubs 1* are way out of line.

If these leading edge clubs are 1*, you haven't hit enough clubs to find out that you can do one helluva lot worse than TM 320 or VFT.

Haven't used TM -- Callaway is the gold standard in the industry as far as I'm concerned. Have sent in three clubs for re-shafting, going from graphite to steel, and in each instance they sent the club out within 3 days after they received it.

Simply put...Make sure to demo as many clubs, with different shafts as possible. It's just like going to the eye doctor when they ask which lense is clearer. You can really make a very expensive mistake if you get too anxious to buy without trying, and certainly don't buy anything just by hitting into a net.

I thought the 300 would be the best for me but it turned out the 320 was the best. Then I was just about ready to purchase the 9.5 with Grafalloy, but then thought I better try the 8.5. The ball at a medium trajectory which is much better for my game. Almost went with the stock shaft, but realized the Grafalloy 3.5 Stiff was still the best. It's possible I lose just a little distance with the stiff, but it goes straight everytime and I feel the clubhead. Still I'm flying the ball 250+ in the air with dead range balls. With the regular shaft with regular stiffness I was ballooning the ball way too often.

If possible, I highly recommend checking out a Taylor Made Demo day. You really get to see what's right for your game. The guys are nice and really are a great help if you need it.

I'm a Taylor Made wood fanatic. It took me a lot to trade in my 13 year Tour Preferred for a new 320, but think I made a good purchase/investment that may last another 13 years. My 13 year 13 degree tour preferred 3 wood and 16 degree tour cleak are still in my bag because I just haven't found anything close yet to replace them, including Taylor Made.

Model Reviewed: TM 360 w/ UST 65 golf shaft

This is the greatest club that I have ever hit. When I went into the store looking for a new driver, I figured that the huge head on the TM would scare me away, well it didn't. I hit so many diffent drivers, and I did not hit one club like I hit this one. The 320 is a great model also, and I would recommend that to anybody too. I hit this driver at least 15 yards longer than my Orlimar. I know that is what everyone else says but it is true. The all titanium face makes the ball just explode off the face. Swing as hard as you want too, this club can take it. I would definately change the shaft though. The prolite gold shaft is really the way to go, I fell in love with it. If you are a mid to high handicap golfer with money to spend... try this club. I almost garuntee that once you get past the look of the face, you will be hitting some off the best drives you will ever hit.

This club is unbelievable. I tend to fade on occasion and these drives go 240/250 in the fairway. Straight shots 270/300. Latest driver used TI bubble 2 tour forged 8.5 with tour stiff shaft. All shots feel solid! It takes an extremelly pathetic swing to hit the ball less than 230 yards. Trajectory is higher than my bubble 2 but carry is significantly greater--not too high but be careful if sales reps recommend extra loft---I would not go higher than 8.5--I considered special order. I highly recommend the stock tour stiff shaft for those with high swing speeds. I'd pay twice the cash for this club after owning it!!

For those looking for an easy, effortless driver, this is the one. I used to have difficulty getting the ball airborne on a consistent basis, but with this club, no problem. I love the look this club gives at address, provides me with a sense of confidence.

The trajectory is a little bit higher than with other comparable 9.5 drivers, so pick your loft with that in mind. Distance is excellent. Even with lower trajectory (miss-hits) shots, I routinely get excellent roll with this club.

This driver was much easier to hit than my Titleist 975D. Much, much more forgiving and a considerably larger sweetspot. It took my 975D's spot in the bag instantly.

Only two drawbacks with this club. First, is that when you feel a little pumped up and attempt to put a good swing on the ball, it usually produces a pronounced draw. However, with a nice easy tempo swing, the ball will fly.

Second, is the stock shaft. I have never been a fan of the Taylor Made shafts, so I would reccommend trying the available options. I opted for the Graffaloy Stiff, and could not be more pleased with my choice.

For $400, it's a little expensive, but if you play enough, you should be pleased with the overall results. I am thinking of purchasing the fairway wood 300 series, but I have heard that it does not perform as well as the driver. Has anyone played with the fairway models?

Pros: an overall excellent driver

Cons: bit expensive, stock shafts. Also, I had my driver break at the hosel after only 3 rounds. Was told it would take 4-6 weeks for turnaround under warranty. I couldn't wait this long so got it repaired for $90

For those who shoot in the high 70's on, this is a great addition to the bag.
