Model Reviewed: Taylormade burner superfast 10.5 driver

I took all of my drivers to the pro shop and hit a few balls with on their indoor video range with each club. I could not hit a ball to save my life. The popped strait up or i topped them the hooked or sliced. they went every where but strait down the fairway. I hit about 5% strait down the fairway. I tried the TaylorMade Burner Superfast and 90-95% went strait down the fairway and gave me 20-50 yards further yardage. I had about 5% pop up duff, hook or slice. I had such a large improvement I had to buy it. I love it.

Wow! This is the best driver I have every played. Most people exaggerate how much yardage they gain with new clubs, but I can honestly say that this club has added 20 yards to my drives. I've gone from a 260 yd hitter to 280! Goes straight but is easy to control as well. Great driver!

I just purchased the burner 3 days ago and used it for the first time yesterday. I drove about 20 to 30 yards further and it just feels good . Its the best club for the money.

I recent switched from the Taylor Made R5 Dual ( Draw Version ) to the Taylor Made Burner 2009 9.5 Stiff ... And WOW! In my first round with it I missed one fairway the entire round, and I hit the ball ( 40 - 50! ) Yards farther... My regulair foursome of guys couldn't believe it. I usually shoot in the mid to low 80's and I've only played 2 rounds so far with the burner and have shot both rounds in the high 70's ( 77 and 79 ) All i have to say to those debating wether to buy one or not , is to get a hold of one and try it! And then your decision will be made for you!

Model Reviewed: Taylormade Burner Superfast

I have been using a 2009 Nike SQ driver and had heard great things about the Superfast. When an opportunity to get one cheap came up, I jumped on it.

The club looks awesome. However, I could not make it perform consistently no matter what I tried. Even when I hit it solid, it still drove 20 yards less than an average hit on the Nike.

As someone who replaces drivers once or twice a season I also look for clubs with some decent resale value as well. I could not give this club away. It had only had the plastic off of it for 2 weeks and it looked like new. I tried selling it in multiple outlets for $100 and got no takers. It seems that this clubs bad reputation is catching up to it. I finally took the $108 PGA trade-in value that the golf shop was offering on another club.

Model Reviewed: Taylor Made Burner Superfast Driver

I have now had this club for 2 months and I am very impressed with it, the first few rounds I had with it was a bit all over the place so I stuck with it went to the driving range a couple of times and WOW. I am now hitting further and landing on more fairways than before with a straight and boring trajectory. The club it replaces was a Cleveland Hibore XL and I am easily hitting it 10 to 15 meters further with the Burner.

I would recommend this club to anyone who would like to add distance, accuracy and forgiveness to their drives.

Give yourself a little time to get used to it, you won't be sorry if you do.

Customer Service

I used my golf clubs pro shop to buy, service was good and they let me take a demo club on a social round to try.

Model Reviewed: Taylormade Burner Superfast HT

I'm a bogie golfer comming off a three year layoff. I shoot 90 not 92.
Tried the Superfast at a TM try out day. Hit every Superfast badly. Sliced em and I'm not a slicer.

I wanted this club because it's so sexy and cool looking. Reminds me of an Indian
warhead or Hatchet.

Bought a used HT (high Trajectory 13*) with a senior flex ( M ) on Ebay. It took two times at the range and one round of golf to master this baby. It's too long and light. I still love it. But I choked up two inches till I got this puppy going straight. I like it though and noticed myself gripping the full shaft, lately. Long shafts are slower not faster. It's physics. But this club rocks. The 10.5 might have worked as well as long as I got the senoir flex.

I receintly piked up some Ping ISI-Ks with senior shafts. My Ping BeCu stiffs were too darn stiff. I lost distance. Going to the senior shafts got my trajectory higher and longer. Don't let your ego hold you with stiff shafts if yoiu need reg or M flex!!

I'm a short hitter & 215-225+ yards.

If you get one give yourself some time to master it.

Enjoy.

Model Reviewed: Taylor Made Burner Superfast

This driver has a great look and feel. The head is massive, but so light that it doesn't feel that way in your hands. The super-light shaft really allows you to swing faster which equals greater distance. The large head is also very forgiving. I can see the ball marks on my club and despite being all over the face most shots travel long and straight.
If you are a high to mid-handicapper looking to add some distance and consistency to your drive, your club has arrived.

Had the Taylor Made R5 for 4 years.
Average drive was consistently 290 yrds. 310+ on occasion.
Can't hit the SuperFast more than 250 yrds. Slices at least 80 yards. Threw it in the corner of my garage. Back to the R5. Waiste of $250!!!!
