I love this Club. I used to be a scratch golfer and 2 back surgery's later i have lost my long ball. I'm still young under 30 by a hair and with the weight and length being 6'3 this is the driver for me. I was averaging only 260 on a smacked drive till this club. Went to local driving range and was hitting the 290 even a few over 300 with roll of course. Got at dicks for 149 and a still for the reward. First time in 5 years first time broke 80 with a 78 and man it felt good.

I recently found a crack in my 580 XD and decided it was time to put it to rest. I went to Golfsmith and hit as many Drivers as I could. Most were the same when it came to distance and direction, but the Burner simply felt, looked and sounded the best. The bottom line for me was, since most things were the same (ball flight, distance etc), why not go with the 150 dollar club made by the vendor with the number 1 driver in golf. The salesman also told me that they were still selling the 07 burner better than the new ones simply because of word of mouth and results.
My ball flight is right to left but I don't think this club has mush to do with that. All the clubs I hit were the same. If you have a slice this club will not fix it. In fact no club will fix your banana slice. If you are leaking right then this may help but otherwise you need more than a new club.
I have only played two rounds so far but I can tell you that I LOVE this club. So easy to hit. I can't believe its much different than my 580 XD but it is. Distance is better as well as accuracy and consistency. I can't wait to get back out there and try it again.

This is the best driver and easiest to hit that I've used in 46 years of golf. It goes straight and jumps off the club face. The 1" extra length combined with the light 50 gram shaft helps those like me that need more club head speed. The stiff shaft works well with only 90 mph clubhead speed - I wouldn't get the regular shaft unless you have a smooth swing - like Els, etc. It looks great at address, and delivers time after time. You can get it on ebay for $75. I would recommend this over any driver - including the R9's and R7's.

Model Reviewed: 2008 Tour Burner 9 degree stiff

The Tour Burner 2008 simply works the best for me. This year I bought an 09 Burner and an 09 Cleveland Launcher, but neither worked as well as the trusty 08 Tour Burner. Straight, long, and works great on mis-hits. Think I'll just hang onto this one and stop looking!

I got this club because of the potential for more distance.(lighter and longer shaft)
The main problem I ran into is it sets up a little left and causes too much of a draw. You have to fight it to keep it straight.Forget about playing a controlled fade. The longer shaft dose not produce much distance gain because the ball goes too high, even with the 9.5 deg model. My original Ping Rapture is more reliable and precise with the ballflight and shot shaping. The Burner 09 is good for those fighting a chronic slice. If you are a 14 handicap or lower I would not recommend this club.

Model Reviewed: Burner 07 9.5* Stiff

I bought the 07 burner mainly because of other reviews I read so I thought I would do the same for other people who might be considering buying a Burner driver. Only played once on the course so far and twice at the range, I'm by no means a great golfer and have had a pretty bad slice off the tee at times, which was partly one of the reasons I bought this club as people have said they find this club easy to hit straight as well as hit long.. My findings are that I do find myself hitting straighter more often however this club wont magicaly fix your slice you will still need to get fix your mechanics which is something I am doing still. As for hitting long I didn't notice huge improvements to my distance on the fly but did notice the ball did seem to roll further which did probably add 10 maybe 20 meters to center hits. Something I did notice straight away on my first hit was the club felt great during the swing, the best feel out of any driver I have used, in saying that I haven't used alot of high end drivers. I would recomend this club to all golfers especially mid to low handicapers my brother who is a better golfer then me hit this club and loved it and kept asking on the tee box if he could use it again and again over his Nike Sumo, eventually I had to say no as he was hitting it pretty well. For you high handicappers like myself don't buy this club thinking it is the cure to your bad mechanics but do buy it if you want a solid driver that along with pactice will aid you in hitting more fairways as I have found. The club looks and sounds fantastic but thats just a added bounus.

Model Reviewed: r7 limited and 2009 burner

I have been playing golf for three years and shooting in the 90's. I had to get a new driver and got a r7 limited. It took length off of my drive and created a massive slice. I set it on draw and still got a huge slice. With the new 09 burner it is lighter than the r7. It got me an improvement in direction, distance, and control! I advise getting it at golfsmith while they are on sale at 199.99
