TaylorMade Mens R7 Quad Drivers

DESCRIPTION

The R7 Quad features TaylorMade Launch Control (TLC) - a sophisticated system that permits discretionary clubhead weight to be redistributed in six configurations by means of TLC cartridges and TLC ports. Comes with Trajectory wheel, TLC wrench, 4 TLC cartridges and headcover.

Snapped this second hand R7 9.5, regualr flex from a golfing buddy who did not like the perfromance of this club.

I grabbed it for a song and IT DID INCREASED my driving distance by 30 yds outdriving my golf mentor using a stiff shaft 460 9 degree in three rounds.

The pull is exaggerated if the swing is uncontrolled. I say the performance is what it says and I love it.

I am a young golfer and this is pretty much the first driver that i have bought that has been of any quality. And i love it feels great when you hit it and i am hitting it pretty straight compared to what i hit my old driver (Nasty Slice). I would recommend getting this driver, you can find it for under 200 now and is a great deal.

I just moved to a new community and my new home course was close to 600 yards longer than my previous course, so I decided I needed to add some distance to my game. I'm a junior golfer. I am the 2 seed at my highschool my freshman year. I hit the R7 and decided right away that I wanted it. I can work the ball anyway now with this club. THe only downside is it took me a while to save up for it, but it was definitely worth it. I'm now close to scratch

Taylor Made 0, Callaway 3. Started shopping for a 460cc driver to upgrade from my Callaway Big Bertha Titanium. I demo'd a Taylor Made R7-draw, and was stunned to find that it lost me 30 yards on my drives. I compared it head to head with both the Callaway big Bertha Titanium and Callaway SteelHead Driver, and the R7 was by far the shortest driver. Well I thought it must have something to do with the club head not allowing me to generate the same head speed as the others, so I returned it and demo'd the new Callaway X460. When I got it to the range, it bombed longer than either Callaway driver I had, and out-distanced the R7 by 40-50 yards (yes, 40-50 yards). This was apparently due to two things, the trajectory from the X460 was much more penetrating than the R7, and the ball was obviously much hotetr off the face. Enough said...Callaway for me.

Went from a TM 580XD, I waited a year to purchase so the price would go down, Paid $249.00.Had the club outfitted with a winn G8 grip since this is on my other clubs.Struck the R7 well at the golf shop. First time on the course I was literally killing the golf ball. My callaway hx tours were screaming for relief. AVG driving distance 280, drove some par 4 greens from the blues. Way to go Taylor Made.

On my way to the course I stop by the local chain sporting good store to buy the new Titleist driver as luck would have it, they were sold out. I was then introduced to the TaylorMade R7 by the sales men, who raved of the club. I agreed to purchase the club and rushed out the door as my tee time was approching. I get to the course just in time to get to the 1st Tee no warm up, no Range balls. I pull out my brand new driver and PULL it so far left it's out of bounds, 2nd hole yep you guess it, same resluts, at this point I'm ready to run back to my car and pull out my old stand by but thought that I would try it one more hole..SMACK 280 dead stright, next hole SMACK dead stright about 290 I hit every drive over 285 yards some closer to 310 without sparying from one side of the fairway to the other. I LOVE THIS CLUB! I was able to add 30 to 35 yards to my tee shots with the assistance of the R7. I can't wait to hit it again!

Took the step up from the classic Big Bertha Warbird to an R7 with NV 65 Stiff after much research. The performance has been incredible. Truly 25-30 yard improvement with straight and controllable directory.

Model Reviewed: Taylor R7 425 cc, 10.5 degree, regular

I just got a new R7, and am experimenting with the 12 and 2 gm. weight positions. I didn't get a set of instructions. I have a tendency to pull the ball left on a regular driver. I also see that with the 10.5 degree, the ball stays very low. I probably need to tee it up higher. I wish that the head cover was not so tight. It's very hard to get on and off. Comments?
