TaylorMade R5 Dual TP Drivers

TaylorMade R5 Dual TP Drivers

DESCRIPTION

The R5 dual TP's deep clubface increases the chances of creating "vertical-gear effect," which promotes a higher launch angle and lower spin-rate for added distance. TaylorMade's exclusive Inverted Cone Technology expands the driver's COR zone to promote greater ball velocity on off-center hits for consistently longer drives.

This might be the best all-around driver that I have ever played. It might be a touch shorter than previous drivers, but nothing is as straight. The best part was that I could not hit it left and I didn't even more the heavier weight to the tow. I have hit a draw for years and could could actually hit a baby fade with this club. I'm keeping this one in the bag for awhile...the R7 425 will have to wait!

This club is smoking, I always hit with a slight fade, until now. I am now the pround owner of a lovely little draw, Amen! I'm playing a 9.5 with the speeder 757 and loving it. It's almost taken taken the fun out of driving, the ball just goes so long and straight every bloody time!

Model Reviewed: Taylor Made R5 Daul TP 9.5, Speeder Stiff

Was playing an similar R7 with a speeder. Good club, but nowhere near as forgiving as the R5 TP. Longer than the R7 (for me anyway) and much straighter and easier to work. High, penetrating ball flight. Speeder shaft is awesome. It can be a little "boardy" if you baby it it, but lets you go at the ball when you want to. It was a little pricey, but how much is more confidence worth?

Customer Service

Outstanding. Was fitted by some guys from the traveling Taylor Made Van at my local golf shop. They then made the club to my specs in the van in about 40 minutes.

I hit the R7 for a while and when this version of the R5 came out, I had to try it. This thing is a cannon, the square face is nice and the bigger head combo make it very easy to hit the ball very straight with minimal effort. The shaft is a very good shaft, but I am going to take it out and put it into my R7 3 wood and put a graphite design pm 702 prototype to drop the ball flight a little. This R5 really throws the ball into the air, good stuff as always.
