This driver is absolutely incredible....I previously owned a R360Ti, which had already added about 30 yards to my drives, but I found that I was getting too much elevation from that club. I got this R510 on eBay for less than £50 and was attracted by the smaller club head and the lower trajectory it gives (and it is the legal in 2008 version). This driver has now added another 30-40 yards to my drives - I hit my longest drive ever yesterday, 275 yards, and that is in winter conditions so the ball barely ran on (and 275 yards is very long for me). Can't wait to use this in the summer !!

WOW...i was using a Taylor Made Burner 420, but in realizing i needed a stiff flex, i found this Taylor Made 510 off of rockbottom golf for under $50. It is used, but in great shape still. I just got home from using this driver and on a short par 4, i took it out and made the folks on the green mad. It was a 325 yard par 4, and i was well over 310 yards. I have a swing speed of over 108 (normal swing), so this is perfect. I even like that the club head isn't enormous. For me, it has a draw to it, but i was able to fade it a few times.

This driver is great. On of the Best drivers out there. I gained at least 15 yards over my Callaway driver. It also has a great low spin rate. The workability on it is second to none. I can hit High, low, draw, fade, and Ben Hogan risers with no problem. It is big improvemnet over the 300 series. Has great forgivness too. It has all you expect from a Taylormade. There is just one thing, it sayes it is a low flying driver, it is not a low flying driver. driver. This thng flies high.

I bought this driver last saeson because I was looking for something to help me keep the ball down. By the nature of my swing I hit the ball very high. I bought the club with a 7.5 degree loft and X-stiff shaft. This combo gave me the ball fight I was looking for and added about 15-20yds to my drive. I liked this model over the r540 because the stock shaft was a little heavier and it has a deeper club face. It was a great purchase for the price. The only compliant I have is that the face started to concave after about 25-30 rounds. I was able to return it and get the same club back with no problem though.

Model Reviewed: TM R510 9.5*

I was playing the TM R510 9.5* with a Grafalloy Blue (S) shaft , and loved this combination ... BUT , the face started to cave in. I had my local pro send the club back to TM , who replaced it with a TM R540xd , 9.5* , with a Grafalloy Blue (s). All I can say is this club has taken me to places on the course where I've never been before. I would normally average about 240-250 off the tee (SS=100 mph) , but I played my last two rounds with the TM 540xd , and am estimating my average distance was 270-280. The amazing thing was that the added distance was effortless (i.e. -- I was not swinging any harder). Ya , I know , I listen to all the hype about drivers & distance , etc. but I have to say that the TM 540xd really surprised me. I would have preferred to have my TMR510 replaced with another 510 (not produced anymore) , but in retrospect , I'm gald they sent me a 540xd.

Model Reviewed: TM 510 9.5 deg

I upgraded for this driver from a TM 300 8.5 degree driver, but mainly because my friends were outdriving me with their new TM 500 series drivers. I like neutral drivers, one that you can work fades and draws. However, the TM 300 was drawing a lot and snap hooking, occasionally. This driver fit my needs. It has a stock stiff shaft, weighing 75gm, torque of 2.3. It isn't that stiff though and easily controlled. It was only 5-15 yds longer than the TM 300. this club is better balanced than the TM 300, not as head heavy. The 330cc head is not that big, and I still use normal sized tees. I bought it new on ebay for $140.00. If you can find this stick, get it, you won't regret it.

I bought this club from RockBottomGolf.com for 120. I have been using the TaylorMade R510 stiff flex shaft for about a month now and it has added about 30-40 yards. The thing I really like about this club is the fact you can work the ball. I hit a pretty straight ball and with this driver I can work it left and right with out much effort. I was worried about the size of the club head but that is not an issue. Highly recommend.

Unbelievable driver! I have been struggling with various drivers for the past several years and took a chance on this one used for $89 (including shipping). Took it to the range on Saturday and WOW!!! Great feel, not too light and the ball absolutely EXPLODES off the clubface. I got the stock MAS 75 R flex shaft which has a firm tip and is very smooth and consistent. Trajectory is actually higher than my Titleist PT 13 (which I was using off the tee and still love) but this club is soooo crazy long it doesn't matter. Accuracy is very, very good and shot shaping is even a possibility now. If you are in the market for a new driver, you can't go wrong here. These are all over ebay used at ridiculously low prices -- I guess since the clubhead is 'only' 330cc it is considered too small for most casual players nowadays.

I went from using an old Spalding Tour Edition driver to this. The difference is incredible. This club is very easy to hit and is incredibly long. My only concern is that the trajectory is much higher than I am used to. But that is a small price to pay for 280+ yard carries. Great club.
