Model Reviewed: R7 Draw 10.5

I have recently returned the R7 draw to my bag after spending the last year trying to tame 3 different R9 variations (I on changed because i fancied an upgrade, I know now to stick to what works). I couldnt rely on the R9 to be consistantly straight. Going back to the R7 is the best move I ever made. I know where every drive is going and because I'm confident with it, I'm 8-12yards longer. Better sound and ball flight too. This club helps me out-drive my mates on a regular basis. I wont be upgrading for a while

I an only 16 and I have received this driver from my grandpap. I love it. Very good distence and accurecy and I actually like it more then the R11. I think that even though this driver is a couple years old it is fantactic!""".

Model Reviewed: TaylorMade R7 SuperQuad

About a year and a half ago, I was given the TaylorMAde R7 SuperQuad. Yep, I hit it very well, but still the OEM shaft left much to be desired in consistency for me. I switched back and forth between the TM and a old Cleveland Launcher 400 of which I lacked the same distance as the TM when hit well. Decided to change the OEM shaft (I do my own club work). Decided on a the Aldila NV 65 in regular. Still seemed somewhat inconsistent but much better when struck on the screws. Talked with a clubfitter/builder, who suggested I tip trim about 1/2" and replace the shaft. Did so, and the club is now long and straight for me. Consistently hitting fairways makes this game a lot better. Have played well into the 70s number times recently, but usually play in the 80s. When I hit the ball properly, the club had a nice muted sound, and there seems to be little effort to make it fly.
The feeling of the Aldila NV made a significant difference for me. This club will be in my bag for a long time.

Bought this driver very slightly used in senior flex off of E-bay for $100.00. Spent $50.00 for a Motore 65 pull out shaft and $8.00 for a grip. Unbelievable driver. My swing speed is 92-94 MPH. hitting the ball 250-270. Very easy to make solid contact and the ball soars. I highly recommend this club.

Bought the club on Ebay for $49.99. My first time out, on the first tee at Pudding Ridge in Mocksville, NC, I drove the first green at 326 yds. I killed this driver all day long. I am normally 30-40 yds ahead of my playing partners. I was consistently 60 plus yds ahead of them all day long. Is this driver legal??? I hit every par 5 in two with this thing. either hit it straight or with a slight draw. My friends wanted to hit it but I would not let them. I will buy another on for backup. Stock, stiff flex shaft.

Just bought this driver on Ebay and "wow", what a piece of art. Played a few rounds with it and practiced with it at the driving range. This baby has more air time than I have ever had. I was playing a Ping G5, TFC 100D stiff shaft but it does not compare to the TaylorMade. This driver has the Mitsubishi Rayon RE AX TP64 stiff shaft and it really kicks the ball. Nice ball flight, somewhat penetrating with lots of carry. Easy to fade and draw the ball. It also gives you some needed roll once it lands. Try one, you will not be disappointed.

Model Reviewed: R7 Limited

After playing Cleveland drivers for the last 6 years, the Hibore XL my last driver, I decided to give Taylor Made a try after holding the R7 Limited in my hands at the pro shop.( bought one new on E-Bay for $150 instead of the $399 the Pro Shop wanted) I really liked the triangle shaped head, and was intrigued by the movable weights technology.
I took the R7 Limited out to the driving range the day I got it, excited yet a bit concerned that I wouldn't hit it any better than my Hibore XL and had wasted $150. I put the weights in the 'draw' position- the 16 gram weight in the heel and the two 1 gram weights in the middle and toe slots. Upon the first swing I noticed right away that my fade (sometimes slice, you know how it goes) had been eliminated. I hit about 25 balls and everyone of them went straight or had a slight draw on them. I didn't seem to gain or lose any distance, the ball seemed to go as far as the Hibore XL. I did notice the R7 Limited had a bit of a muted sound compared to the Hibore, but felt solid and I could feel the ball exploding off the clubface.
Well, yesterday I took my R7 Limited out to the course to play 18. I hit some poor pulls and thins the first few holes, and then I seemed to get the feel of the club and got into a rhythm. Man, let me tell you, when I finally put a good swing on it, I boomed the ball right down the middle with a slight draw. I can't explain how sweet the feeling was, I had never had that feeling with any other driver. I continued to boom it hole after hole, and noticed that I was at least 10-15 yards further than I usually was on these holes. On the 18th, a 420 yard dogleg Par-4,I usually am about 170-180 out after my drive- occasionally 160. Well, yesterday after hitting the R7 Limited, I was at 145 yards- closer than I had ever been before.
All I can say is WOW!! What a marvelous piece of equipment. I am in love with the R7 Limited. The red Ozik shaft goes great with the black clubhead as well- a great look. A reviewer in Golf Magazines' Club Test said the R7 Limited was his WoW club, and called her "Crush-a-rama". I completely concur. I would recommend this club to anyone- it may take 40 balls or so to get used to it, but once you do, you'll be saying 'WOW!' as well. Great Driver.

I got this driver in on a trade. I had just bought the 09 Burner. The first time I hit the course with this driver, I was amazed. I hit it long and straight, hit more fairways than I had in 2 years. I love this club. The new Burner is sitting in my garage.
