Hey guys. My name is Jeb and I'm a 2 handicap golfer. I'm a bit short in stature, being somewhere between Danny DeVito and Michael J. Fox. That's about 5 foot 2 in case you were wondering. I'm not a dwarf but at the same time I won't be trying out for the NBA anytime soon.

As you can probably guess, finding women who are interested in dating a man who's not much taller than the bar stool is a challenge. That's why I play a lot of golf. Let's face it, I ain't getting any and that's not going to change as I get older. I've thougt about going to matchmidget.com but that's just a pride breaker for sure.

Anyway, distance has been an issue for me and I'd probably be a scratch and beat that a-hole Drake Johnson at the annual club championship if I could keep up with him on my drives. Drake beat me 2 & 1 last year at the club championship and when we sat down for drinks he asked me if I need a booster seat. I told him his wife never needed me to sit in one. He threw his beer at me and missed and I said "nice toss, champ".

Anyway, I tried this RBZ driver at the range and hit the f#king sh!t out of it. I'm fairly certain that I'm 20 yards longer and past Drake on his best drives.

I'm in his foursome next week. The guy is such a jerk. He always insists on driving because if I ever need to brake quickly I might not be able to reach. Fine with me, I've got an appointment with Mrs. Drake on Tuesday for a long lunch.

Word to the wise. Don't make fun of short people. They may laugh in the moment but they'll be plotting your demise later on.

I tried the non tour version of the RBZ as a possible replacement for my R11. It got me an extra 15 to 20 yards but I had no idea where it was going. I then tried the tour version and I still got extra yards and accuracy was much improved. I have no idea why this is. Basically a very competent driver and whilst longer than my previous driver it is not massively more forgiving. In fact I am beginning to wonder why I replace my Ping G15 with the R11 in the first place.

Customer Service

My club pro Brian was very helpful with the fitting process. Taylormade were competent in getting it delivered in a reasonable time frame.

Honestly, I went on a whim and bought this driver. I bought the RBZ 3 Fairway and fell in love with it the first time I hit it (EXPLOSIVE). The RBZ Tour Driver....NOT! Even with the FCT I could not get the ball to turn right to left consistently and it drove me nuts. It's a great looking club at address, but it's like buying a car, it can look like a dream, but if the engine is not working (at least for me it was not), it's a LEMON.

I normally play the FT-5 Callaway Driver and can work the ball left/right, right/left with ease...with the RBZ, NOTTA.

The FT-5 is back in the bag...actually, it never left.

First off, I shoot in the 70's from the senior tees. 80's from reg tees. I got a steal on this club from a friend who was hitting it pretty good. I got it and my swing is not very good with a driver. Well this club is not as forgiving as my '09 Burner. I hate it.

Customer Service

Hello. 20 years ago I was a scratch golfer and a regular on the amateur circuit. I won top honors at the Mid-Western and cleaned up at the Pebble Beach Open.

Nowadays, I'm lucky if Kathy, my nurse, will let me go out for an afternoon 18 holes. It's difficult for both of us because she has to monitor my blood pressure and maintain my colonostomy bag. I have trouble holding my bowels after the last polup was found in my large intestine. Trust me, not something you want to go through.

Where was I? Oh yes, my new driver. I went to Golfersmith and a charming young salesman introduced me to this fine driver. He told me that it normally retails for $499 and let me have it for $399. Sometimes a grumpy old man can get a deal.

I took the RBZ driver out to my home course, Shady Acres, and hit my first drive 163 yards. That's a 10 yard gain over my normal drive with my Ben Hogan Apex persimmon with steel shaft. Sorry Ben, but the future is calling.

Well, Kathy and I spun around all 18 holes and made several stops at the mens room (and behind trees.. ha ha). Kathy is a sport about it and teases me that she'd ride me like the lone ranger if I could still make my willy work.

I finished 18 with a 97 and my new Rocket Balz driver. I tell ya, I've never hit a driver so far since Jimmy Carter took it in the arse from Yasser Arafat.

Gotta go, nature calls

Model Reviewed: Taylor Made RBZ 10.5 Driver

Was playing with a co-worker and struggling off of the tee on every other hole with my old driver. He had an RBZ and finally convinced me to hit it on one hole. First swing I ever took with the club hit it right at 270 down the middle with a slight draw, which is about 20-30 yards further than I was getting with my old driver. I decided then and there sometimes it could be the club. Went home and ordered one and after testing and tweaking the lie/loft combo to find out what worked for me I put it into play. The first round with this driver I hit 12 out of 14 fairways with an average drive of 272 and a long of 295 (I'm not generally a real long hitter on a consistent basis). I've used it for 2 other rounds since and its performed every bit as well. This is by far the easiest driver I've ever had to hit long and straight. I've got the 10.5 degree and have it set up where it has a medium high flight and still gets about 20-30 yards of roll when it hits. Its fairly easy to work with a draw or a cut and because of the light weight is almost effortless to swing. I'm already playing about 3-5 strokes below my handicap just because I'm in the fairway and hitting shorter irons into par 4s and able to reach some par 5s in 2 shots now. The loft/lie adjustments are easy to do with the wrench that's included and takes less than a minute so you can try multiple settings on the range in a short time frame. I managed to get mine for $229 including shipping so at that price its a steal and even if you pay full price its definitely worth the money.

Customer Service

Haven't had to use it yet.

A month ago today I played in a charity scramble tournament at Bel Aire CC in Los Angeles. Top notch tournament to say the least. I won this club as a prize for the long drive on the 5th. I also won the putting contest and closest to the pin on two of the par 3 holes. I sold that stuff on Ebay. It would have been a great day had I not been paired with two hacks and a queen.

Anyway, I won said driver and took it to GG to get a real shaft installed. I went with the new Graphite Design YS-88 (only available to certain clients). Anyhow, took it to my country club and was pounding it down every single fairway. I gained 20 yards and I'm now consistently 300 right down the middle of every fairway. My playing partners are so far behind me that I have to yell. I've even considered the alternative of playing by myself but, alas, one can only have so much fun.

The downside of this club is the fact that it looks like a toy for a chimp. I salute the genius R&D people at Taylormade for making a great club look like something you'd see used as a weapon in Star Trek. Kirk would have loved it and that fruit Scotty would have...well, never mind.

I digress...how can I describe this club accurately? I don't know. I guess I'd say that it's longer than Ron Jeremy but cheesier looking DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. Sound? Not bad. I've heard better.

Well, don't know what else to say. Go get yourself one if you like to hit it past your buddies and laugh at their meekness. I know I do.

Let's put it this way...you without this driver is like Harold Melvin without the blue notes, you'll never go platinum.

Later.
