Aged 72. Hcp 16.0. I needed a slightly lower ball flight than my Ping Si3 (12 deg)gives me. Purchased the TM R7 CGB Max driver (10.5 deg, R shaft) at St Andrews in May 2008. Well-made, well balanced club gives excellent performance, with an increase of 8 - 15 meters compared with the Ping, acceptable dispersion and usually straight. Expensive but worth the investment.

This is bar none the best driver I have EVER played. I bought a Callaway HyperX earlier in the year and while it was somewhat forgiving on mis-hits, my slice would still rear its ugly head sometimes. The R7 CGB Max with movable weights kept the ball straight, if not a slight draw on most hits. And the distance is unbelievable, at least 20 sometimes as much as 40 or 50 yards longer than the Callaway HyperX. If you can find a good deal on the club, it's worth every penny.

I love this driver I was a 0 before I got it and now I am a plus 2 and getting better. My average drive went from 320 to about 340 and the weight technology can give me even more distance than that. Last week I won my first club championship by shooting 64, 72, 63 for a 12 shot victory.

Most forgiving driver I've ever hit. Very light weight shaft. I've hit Titleist drivers for a long time and never thought I'd ever own a Taylor Made until I hit this one. Titleist customer service did help make the decision easier as I cracked the face on my 983K and they would do nothing about it. Wouldn't even let me pay extra to upgrade to a D2 so I started testing other drivers. Very pleased with the CGB. It all worked out for the best.

Bought this driver right before Christmas and, unfortunately, due to shakey weather up here in the northeast giving it a true test has been difficult. I am 61 years old and quite frankly over the last several years have lost distance with my driver. THIS CLUB GAVE ME ALL MY DISTANCE BACK! I can easily hit it 240 yards without working real hard. Its a little light (45 gram shaft) but once you get used to it you'll find that it is a keeper. A little expensive but how much would you pay to get 30 yards back?
