Finally I've found a Driver that works for me. I've hit em all, Ping, Callaway, Taylormade, Mizuno and none compare to my 905T w/aldila 65 S Shaft. I think the shaft has a lot to do with it but the head is very forgiving. Great Job Titleist......

switched to 905t with 76g v2 stiff shaft. before i had 07 burner and it was a 10.5 with a 55g stiff shaft. i hit that well but i was losing distance and my ball flight was too high. i can hit the 905T up to 270 yards but its not as comfortable as the burner. will a 9.5 burner be good for me? is the shaft too heavy?

Model Reviewed: Titleist 907 D1 Driver

I have played the Titleist D1 driver 10.5* with the Aldila NV Proto shaft reg. flex. now for 3 rounds and it is going back on EBAY. I had the 905R 10.5* with the YS-6+ and thought the shaft upgrade would make some difference in launch angle and distance. Well I was right, but not the way I wanted. Not only did I lose 20 yards, but the ball flight was much higher than what the specs stated!! The owner of my club has a 983K 9.5* and I hit that 20 yards past on an average hit. Needless to say I am now buying another 905R. Titleist made a mistake somewhere!!

Model Reviewed: 905T 10.5 deg. NV65 S

Just awesome! the sound is muted and not quite as tingy as the 905R model. looks just slightly smaller then the 905R too. overall, the NV65 shaft just rocks in this clubhead. a very piercing trajectory that doesn't balloon, and i was hitting 275+ yard drives easily. the shaft was an inch too long and felt very heavy. at 46" the driver swing weighted at D7! had it trimmed to 45" and swing weights at a much more managable D3. face is about 1.5 degrees closed. not too annoying at address, but would prefer a square face. beautiful looking club, performs great, and was reasonably priced. what more could you want out of a club? not much more, except maybe a bigger head!

Model Reviewed: 905T w/Harmon GXS shaft

Just picked up a used 905T on Ebay for $41. It came with a 79g Harmon GXS shaft. I took it to the Golf Galxy launch monitor along with my Mizuno MX-500 w/ProLaunch Red shaft and Bridgestone J-33R 420 w/Aldila NV shaft. My dispersion was very similar on all clubs, so they all seemed to be about the same as far as accuracy. But, much to my surprise, the 905T averaged 10 more yards than the J-33R and 5 yards more than the MX-500. But, my swing speed was 9 mph slower with the 905T than the MX-500 and 4 mph slower than the J-33R. The pro said it was due to the increased shaft weight and head composition. I like all three drivers and would highly recommend all three, but apparently the Titleist fits my swing the best.

What a great driver. Too bad they don't make it anymore! I've always been a fan of Titleist drivers, since I like to try to work the ball both ways off the tee. I previously used a 975J, but I wanted a little larger head and a little higher launch, and the 905T delivers in spades. Great feel off the face, PERFECT trajectory, and--with the right shaft for your swing--the ability to draw or fade the ball at your discretion. And this baby is LONG. Not really as long or forgiving as the newer 907, but plenty enough for me--put a solid swing on it and you're in the 250+ yds range. And to me, the 907 series has a more "hollow," disconneted feel at impact when compared to the 905. The 905 definitely has a more solid, positive feel upon contact. If you're comfortable with your driver swing, can find the sweet spot and want some workability with a little bit of forgiveness in a LONG driver, try one of these before dropping the cash on a 907!

However, this is probably not the best driver for you if you struggle with hitting slices or snap hooks off the tee. If you're looking for a really forgiving driver to help you stay in the fairway, you might want to check other brands--the MOI in Titleists (even the 907) is less than in most other brands.

I am a scratch golfer and absolutley love the Titleist 905T driver. I used to play the Taylormade R580 XD 8.5 degree driver and found that once I switched to the Titleist, I was more consistent off the tee hands down. I was the #1 or 2 golfer on my high school team and the #2 player on my college golf team and I would recommend this driver to anyone I meet. This club is has the looks of a traditional Titleist driver but i believe has a 100% better feel. I have hit other drivers such as the Cleveland Hi-Bore and Launcher, FT-5, Cobra, and more and feel that this is one of the best drivers on the market for your money... Go out and get one!

I bought this 9.5 905T driver for a $100 with a fujikura upgraded shaft, not the normal speeder that comes with it. I pound this driver compared to my old 975J 7.5 driver that I use to play with! I have a real high trajactory with this club, but it comes with a low spin rate, and a boering ball flight that allows the ball to roll even with a high ball flight. I have a lot more controll with this club over the J that I had. I can hit the low draw or cut, the high cut, or even the high hard draw that I love to play. The shaft may have a part in the control, because the UST proforce 65 shaft was about two years used, at about 3 days a week. But the driver feels great and with great control, it was a great investment for my game. I would recommend this driver to anyone with any skill level, because it looks great at address, and feels great with even not so perfect contact and it is still between the tree line. With great contact, this driver is just as long if not longer than any other driver I have ever had in my hands. With the new D1 and D2 drivers out now, you probably can find this model driver for a great price!! A++ driver.
