After using the Deep Red II 10.5 for 2 rounds, yesterday I went to play with some old buddies who used to out-drive me by 20 yards. Beyond my Deep Red II 10.5*, we had the latest model titleist, callaway and taylor made being played in the foursome. I am usually a straight ball hitter, but this driver somehow turned this into a slight fade, and even with that I was outdriving my buddies by 10 to 15 yards on every single whole. It was awsome to watch the suprise on their face and even better when I was collecting the bet money at the end.. Also play deep red irons with similar results..

When I'm at the driving range and hitting them straight this club is giving me about 10 more yards. I was using a decent Wilson Driver before the Deep Red II. I thought that it was the biggest bang for my buck. I would guess that it measures up well agains the comparable Taylor-Made, Cleveland or King Cobra for less than half the cost. It's too bad a lot of golfers buy Taylor-Made or Calloway just for popularity purposes because this Deep Red II is an excellent driver

Club is great, I'm only getting about 10 yards more distance but the club is very forgiving and easy to hit straight. I would rat this club a 4 out of 5.

The best way to describe this club is WOW!!!!!! This club delivers everything that it promises. Straight and long drives are all I've seen since I put this club in my bag. I think I've only miss hit with this driver once and the ball still went pretty straight. Although I did lose about 10-15 yards off my drive, I gained so much consistency and confidence from the tee. And to top things off, I got this club at a steal for a mere $150 CDN!!!! I actually exchanged a Dunlop Loco driver for the Deep Red and that was probably the smartest move I made this golf season. For my fellow high handicap players out there, I am confident that this driver can really help out your game. So if you haven't tried this driver yet, then you really should give it a test drive.

Model Reviewed: Wilson Deep Red II Tour 10.5 Stiff

I have a smooth swing with a powerful hip turn but have always hit steel-headed Callaway drivers with too little loft resulting in less than majestic low trajectory drives. After playing out of a friend's bag and trying the original Deep Red, I bought the new model sight unseen. I have added 30 yards to my drives, with maximum height (i.e, they psych out my playing partners, who now look to me when there is any risk reward tee shot requiring a 250 yd or more carry). This club wont cure a bad swing (hey, a slice is still a slice), but it will reward the hell out of decent one.

I have a slow swing speed and was not generating any distance until I purchased the Deep Red Driver. My style of swinging, "Let the club do the work", seems perfect for this driver. I concentrate on good posture and swing mechanics and the driver takes care of the distance. This club turned my game around. Highly recommended for golfers who are unable to muscle a golf club.

Model Reviewed: Wilson, Deep Red, stiff

Be careful! I picked up the deep red driver based on reviews from this site. I play stiff shaft irons and fairway woods. However, I have come to learn (from professional golfers) that the wilson driver is considered to be "extra" stiff and is in fact too stiff for my swing speed (not closing at impact). It takes a lot of effort (draw stance, very strong grip) to compensate and even then shots result in a fade. If you are relatively new to the sport eat some crow and buy the regular shaft even if you swing fast. I can hit balls a mile with it but with inconsistant accuracy. Also, the red paint seems to chip easily.

Did a lot of research on the net, and demo'ed many drivers. This one was by far the best, and has proved so since buying it. I can hit straight shots 280-300 yards with little effort, a great launch angle, and most importantly a LOT of confidence. Went for the tour model as the shots went high enough from it's 9 degrees. To top it all, I think it's one of the best looking also!

I had to write a review as soon as I hit this driver. First I want to thank everyone who has left a review of this club because it was because of your advice I purchased it. I have tried just about every driver out there and I am telling you the truth this is the best driver I have ever hit.. The driver seems to swing itself I cant believe that every shot I hit with this club was great or at least good. I am so excited that I own this club , and I am telling you that I will be playing this club for as long as possible. I cant believe that For a fraction of the price of the last callaway driver I purchased this thing smokes the vft. The only problem I have is that I dont want my buddies to hit especially when I am playing them because I should deffinately be the best driver now.
