Maxima 330 Review My info: 5’8” 185 lbs age 33, athletic build. Swingspeed 109-114. Hcp-11 right now. Always have been a strong driver of the ball. Normal carry distance is consistently 270-80 range legit. Currently play 45” 9* KZGRBT325 w/ harrison 2.5 ul Firm shaft SW D2-3. I AM LEFTHANDED. Tendency is to play a slight fade. Maxima 330 info: 10 deg w/ XLT70 X Flex at 45” as recommended by John at Zero Tolerance. Lamkin half cord grip. I would guess swingweight is around D4-5. This club is a gorgeous metallic dark blue and craftsmanship appears top quality with a gold mark on the crown that compliments the club well. The shaft matches the color the head nicely from a royal blue fading into a black at the tip. Overall the prettiest club I’ve had. The shape kind of reminded me of the Callaway VFT and hides it’s size at address. The face is DEEP, much deeper than the KZG, but looks much smaller at address due the shorter toe/heel width as compared with other larger headed clubs. I tried this club for 2 sessions at the range and then for 3 full rounds. First time at the range I was swinging poorly, and consequently left a lot of balls out to the left. I felt I wasn’t hitting the sweetspot. I hit with the longest rubber tees I could find and felt that even they weren’t high enough.. The second time I was swinging better and consistently hitting it very strait with a slight fade, but I still wasn’t catching the sweetspot, hitting it a bit low on the clubface. Even not catching it perfect, the ball does jump off this face and you can feel the power at impact. The sound is very confidence inspiring and not at all loud or tingy. I then played 5 ½ rounds in a two day period and used both the KZGRBT and Maxima during those rounds. I played 3 of those rounds with the Maxima 330 and the first was with normal sized tees at 2 ¼” height. I drove the ball well, playing my normal consistent slight fade. I really hit a couple well and knew that this club had potential, but on normal hits where I didn’t catch it just perfect, was a few yards shorter than expected. Hit this club thin, and it’s easy with these sized tees (more on that in a bit) and I hit a low, screaming line drive. The second and third rounds I played with those longer wooden tees, I think they’re 2 ¾”. That made all the difference in the world. With those tees, you can launch the ball with this club

I am 63, 5'10'',200lbs, club head speed 106, 3 handicap.I have been playing this club for about 6 weeks and it is wonderful. I was using the 360 CJ before, which I like a whole lot,but the 330 is now in my bag to stay. I get a slightly lower and longer ball with the 330 and just as straight. It is a beautiful club that attracts a lot of attention. I am using the CJ XLT 70 extra stiff shaft with excellent results. I get very good carry with this club and I can draw or fade the ball with equal ease. The shaft is very inexpensive, but wow it works great. I have helped a local dealer sell about 8 heads, 330 and 360. and everyone is still playing the CJ clubs. I hear John Lee has a 400 coming out that may be even better. I like my 330 so much that I hate to see a new model arrive. I will, however, must certainly tryout his new product. Try the company shaft. You will be pleased with the consistency of this shaft and the accuracy of the 330 and the XLT 70 shaft. I highly recommend this club to all, particularly low handicappers with good club head speed. I am using the 9 degree head.
