The longest three wood I have ever hit. It has a great low boring trajectory for tee shots but you can also hit it high and hold greens with your second shot. Great club better than the other Adam's and similar shallow faced woods. A good buy for the better player.

This club is the first I have ever been able to stand on the tee and decide where I woould like to hit the ball and then put it there. Within about 5-10 yards this club is awesome...I am now having a SC driver/titanium neutral put on a UST 65 Gold stiff shaft to complete my armoury and cut my handicap considerably,,,,, I hope !! this year from 19 to mid/low teens. This club is the bizz..... way to go Barney....you have made golf a game of pleasure not punishment....Chris

Model Reviewed: Tight Lies Tour, 15 deg. EI-70 stiff

Played an original Tight Lies for one season, but could not get consistent results. Original was very forgiving, but distance and trajectory were unpredictable. Struggled with this club at first, but I kind of expected that with a tour model club. After a little practice, this club is a deadly weapon. Easy to control trajectory, able to work the ball left and right, and boy is it ever long. Much more stable than Orlimar, along with a more solid feel. Overall weight (heavier) is the reason. I bought used for half off original price, and prices are still dropping. Still worth the $250 suggested price.

I wanted THE tool for a SPECIFIC job which was :- A straight shot from all playable lies to 220 yards landing and checking up quickly. This is the only club I tried that would give me what I wanted time after time. I'm so impressed with this club that I'm thinking of adding the 13* as well. The EI-70 stiff shaft is excellent, the head design is contemporary but importantly is SQUARE (unlike Callaway !). This model also works well off the tee on short par fours if you want to leave yourself a full spinning wedge, you need to tee the ball a bit lower than normal but this is a small price to pay for excellent accuracy. IF I have a gripe it would have to be the grip, far to thin, I don't have big hands but the standard grip doesn't inspire confidence. My advise is to change it to your preferred style and size. Still easily worth a 5* rating displite this small niggle.

I don't know if it's the head, shaft or both, but this club is hot. I was looking to replace my warbird for tee shots on short par 4's. I carry this club almost as far as my 976r. My only problem with the club is the face does not look like 13*, more like 11*, and the trajectory is lower than any other fairway wood I have ever hit. If you are looking at this club for a true fairway wood, you may want to consider going up to the next loft. For my purposes the club is perfect.

Best 3 and 5 woods I have ever hit. Long with a lower trajectory than other clubs. I like the fact that it sets up square to the ball. I have a tendency to hook the ball but these clubs seem to go straight no matter how hard I swing. Overall a very good club

It's very good...hard to hit with at first, yet its better for people with handicaps in the teens.

I like the weight of the (heavier) head of the club. The club does entice you to ""hit away,"" but you have to settle into a smooth swing for best results -- as usual -- it just comes easier with this club than others I've tried including the Orlimar equivalent. A little expensive at regular retail, but you can find it at Costco for a good price.

The first thing that strikes you about the Adams 3wood is how it sets up against your ball, whether it's off the tee (which I love) or in the fairway. The design of the clubhead immediately gives you confidence, unlike some ""traditional"" clubhead designs which have a teardrop look. The Adams is more square-ish, telling you immediately if you are lined up to target. That worry out of the way, you can now concentrate on the swing. And this is something the Adams excells in. Perfectly balanced, the club cuts a clean line to the ball, and depending on the shaft (metal or graphite) offers immediate feedback as to how well--and where--the ball was struck. Extraordinarily forgiving, the ball explodes off the ball with a minimum of spin and a maximum of distance. I can't wait to add more Adams metalwoods to my arsenal.
