This was a grat wood. The problem with the normal Hawk-eye was that it''s head was to big, but the head on the Pro Series is the perfect size off the fairway or off the tee.

This club is for a more serious type of golfer. I stress, that you also should have a pretty decent swing. When these two qualities are combined, you have a winner! It takes time to get used to (as with most Callaway woods/drivers--imho). The ball flight is great and the shaft is a very good one. If you try the X-Stiff, be prepared to swing hard!!--like over 120 mph. I swing between 105--115 and the stiff shaft is great. Don''t be in a hurry to judge this club. Give it some time and you''ll find that you love it more than you thought....

I definitely disagree with the other reviewers. I fell the EI70 is most certainlt NOT an inferior shaft...but, whatever.
I did not like this club at all. I've hit em all and this felt tinny and inconsistent. Very overrated. Don't like the face size either.

I have been a loyal 975D player for about three years until now. I tried this club on a demo day and I was taken back just a little. I have always thought that callaway equipment was of poor quality and did nothing for the better than average golfer. I will have to say that I was wrong on this club. I am pleased with the nice low ball flight that I have with this club. I play with the extra tour stiff shaft.(hm65) I did however have a slight problem, I played only a round with my new driver when I decided on the last hole to get on one. I had been forcing myself to use a nice smooth swing and trying to get the feel of the club. Well to make a long story short the head came of the shaft. My local pro shop replaced the club with a new one and said the hm 80 shaft was not the shaft for me and then gave me one with the 65 shaft. What does this mean, well I have no idea but this new one is working out just great. About the best driver I have ever hit and I have hit anything that is out there.

Customer Service

Hits are much longer, straighter, and flatter than the original Hawkeye. Mishits are minimized due to the low torque shaft. Regular flex feels firm. Avg yards 260-270 vs. 240-250 with original Hawkeye. I would strongly recommend this over the standard VFT model.

I love this club after playing with it for 3 rounds. If your tendency on missed shots is to hook, this is a great club. The distance is about the same as the Titleist 975D driver, but its shaft is a lot better than Titleist's stock EI70 stiff shaft. I traded in my Titleist(for $160-new model just came out and pro shops sell new 975D for only $249), and love the Pro Series. This is a better club than the regular VFT driver, esp if you tend to hit shots left to right.

Customer Service

Customer service is great. My late steelhead 5 wood's shaft broke, and Calloway replaced it with newer model Steelhead plus without any questions.
