I first picked up a 9 wood on EBay. I liked it so much that when I discovered the opportunity to pick up a 1, 3, 5, 7 set I jumped at it. No Regrets! I'm enjoying the consistency of a matched set.

This is a great club for the money. The Carbite gyroseven really helped me get my fairway shots long and straight. It has an interesting dip on the face of the club that seems to help me hit a full contact shot much more frequently. I love the weight of the club and its beautiful look. I spent 50 bucks on ebay for it new. Favorite club in my bag.

I ordered one of these as my first foray into 7 woods, which have become a staple in my bag. Unfortunately, this club proved to be a true disappointment and didn't last very long in my bag.

The construction, especially of the shaft, screamed "cheap". It had a very brittle feel at impact, almost like the shaft was going to shatter. The head seemed dull.

I couldn't really see any benefit in the face coating. I guess I could understand this spin inducing feature on a wedge, but it didn't add much to the performance of a utility wood.

The head also has major offset. This is an easy enough club to swing, with reasonably high loft. The offset seemed unnecessary and created a tendancy to hook.

All this being said, I gave this club to a "friend" and he likes it. TO each his own, I guess.

Customer Service

Sketchy coverage. I order direct from Carbite and they kept balming computer problems on a delay of three weeks. Not an impressive service performance.

The jury is still out on this one. I have hit some beautiful straight and soft landing shots and I have had terrible hooks and slices. The key seems to be playing the ball more to the center of your stance and tee it up low. Nice easy swing does it, don't try to power (that's when I slice). Can buy nice refurbished demos at International Golf Outlet online for $69. At that price, well worth the money. Hope to give better review next season for these clubs.

This is some club: the ball just explodes off the head. The offset with the senior shaft works great for me. I play the ball 1/2 ball forward of center, with a nice slow swing and the ball is out to the 200 yard marker. When using this club off the tee at my left armpit, the ball flight was a draw to a hook. Lowering the tee just off the ground and just forward of middle gave me a nice straight shot.

Customer Service

I have been to Carbite's website but that's only a few pages of advertisement. No provision to direct a question to anyone. Such as who carries a Carbite ball cap and is there an outlet for refurbished clubs?

I just put together a Golfsmith Roughrider 3+ with matching senior shaft. The club played good, nice appearance, good distance, low trajectory but no offset. Then I bought the Gyroseven and sold my Roughrider.

Favorite club in my bag. Have considered replacing it with some of the flashier, more expensive seven woods (callaway, mchenry, adams) - but there's no way i'm giving this one up. it gives me 200-230 off the fairway or from the rough and lands very soft. if you have trouble with long irons, get this club, period.

Overall a good club; it hits better off the ground than a tee. If you do tee it up, it has to be really low. Bought my for $50 and it is well worth it.
