Cleveland Launcher Fairway Woods

Cleveland Launcher Fairway Woods

DESCRIPTION

• The maraging steel face has a higher strength-to-weight ratio than standard 17-4 stainless steel. The high strength characteristics allow us to create an extremely thin and lightweight face. This makes the face “hotter”, providing maximum distance.
• The fairway woods offer optimal face depth, which provides a large hitting area for increased forgiveness.
• The combination of a pear shape and a proportional head size make it easy to square the face at address, providing confidence time after time.
• A traditional score line pattern ensures proper spin and launch angles, even in wet or heavy grass conditions.

What a club! I was a bad slicer, not anymore. I have tried several woods, and techniques, but could not cure my slice. A pro shop sales rep asked me to try this club since it was on sale. I couldn't believe the distance, and above all, the accuracy I achieved. I have a fairly moderate swing speed, and the shaft is a regular flex Fujikura. Have played few rounds with this club, and I am very happy with it. It's also great off the tee that I am not using the driver anymore.

This is a great fwy wood. My swing speed is 90 to 95(driver) with moderate tempo. It has the fujik. 65gm reg shaft and I have increased distance over other fwy woods with stiff shafts. It is not hard to control and am very pleased with it. Next stop is to find a driver that works as well.

Model Reviewed: Touredge Bazooka iron-wood

after reading up on hybrids and talking to other golfers, i thought i might like to have one of these in my bag. i didnt want to spend a lot to find out the gimmick didnt work, so i took up touredge on the Bazooka 6 iron-wood $49.95 offer with a 30 day money back guarantee. the only reason you would ever want to return this club is so you could then purchase the entire set. i had one pro laugh at me until he tried it. i tried this every where from the hardpan to the deepest rough, and regardless of looks or price, this club is truly a "rescue" club. i swear i could hit this off the asphalt every time. it does look a bit cheap, but the backside of it looks like good workmanship. besides, the lifetime warranty should suffice there i would think. it sets up nicely and with a nice easy swing this club had me out of trouble more than once. instead of the 6 iron, they had sent me the 5 iron, which was fine by me. i did find that i lost around 5-10 yards from my bertha 5 iron, but more than made up for it in accuracy. I'm thinking of getting a Houdini 5 wood to go with this club and lose a few other clubs. worth a try for sure

nice set up. face is slightly closed, maybe for the average golfer who slices, but didnt seem to hook it as much as other clubs. ball seems to jump off the face. very easy to drop into the slot with an easy swing. good distance for tight holes off the tee, 210-230. not bad out of the rough either.

Great club. The ball flys off the face with a good tragectory and good roll. The forgiveness is inspiring and confidence building. I can conistantly his this club straight and 230-250 yds off the fairway and 240-260 off the tee. The vista pro 90 shaft is great. I got it off ebay, what a deal.

Just wanted to give my impression on this club. I have been searching for the "perfect" 3 wood for couple of years now. Well, in short, the search is over (at least for now). For the last few years, I have used several 3 woods from different manufacturers but wasn't really happy with any of them. First, I started with the Steelhead III with 15 degrees. I really liked the feedback but didn't like the closed face setup. I switched to the Steelhead III with 13 degrees because the face is a lot more square. It's a great club and long. However, I was hitting it a little to low for my taste (high enough for most but I like to attack Par 5s hitting the green directly and with less roll). Well, I got an TM V-Steel with 15 degrees. The head looked great, a little larger than most traditional 3 woods but then the face was slightly closed as well. (I really don't understand why manufacturers keep producing closed faced woods..yeah, I know, most of golfers tend to slice the ball...). Besides, the feedback was a little "dull". Well, then I got myself the new Titleist 980F with 15 degrees and thought, wow, that must be the perfect 3 wood for me. The club looks nice and seems to be quite square. However, the club was a major disappointment. First, I was constantly drawing the ball and if going a little harder I was hooking the ball. Second, the feedback was the worst I ever had. The ball didn't come "hot" off the face at all and was so dull. I can't confirm this but my impression was that I was hitting the ball far shorter than with the other ones. Maybe the internal weight distribution also contributed to my lefty tendency (like the K driver). Well, I haven't tried the strong version of the 980 yet (after my experience with the "normal" 980F I don't really care)and also didn't have a chance to test any Sonartec woods (these I like to test though). Finally, I tested the launcher steel with 15 degrees and immediately fell in love with it. Feedback is great and shots are long. The club looks beautiful and setup is fairly square as well. The only thing I don't like is the gold color of the shaft but I got use to it. Otherwise, the shaft's performance is ok. Conclusion: if you are looking for a 3 wood, try this. Cleveland won't disappoint!

Great club best 3 and 5 woods ive ever hit. Weighted perfectly and takes the ball clean of the fairway. I tested them for almost an hour at Hudson golf and ski warehouse and I absolutely loved them. Looking to buy them somewhere used.
