KZG Maraging Power Fairway Woods

KZG Maraging Power Fairway Woods

DESCRIPTION

The strength and hardness of the maraging steel insert enables KZG to manufacture these woods with the thinnest unsupported face insert on the market. The result is a huge sweet spot and greater ball velocity off the face. The drivers feature a deep face with a low and piercing trajectory. The fairway woods have a "low" profile with a gear effect designed to save mis-hits. These "killer clubs" are designed to give you another 10-20 extra yards...and they really do! The choice of mid-to-low handicappers. The ball flight has a low, piercing trajectory.

Model Reviewed: Maraging Power 3 Wood

I discovered KZG through my local dealer and my new RBT 360 driver. I picked up this 3 wood off of Ebay for $30 and it's nice off the tee and good off the deck when I can hit it correctly. It's definitely a strong 3 wood and the head is very small. It's actually about the same size as my Adams Tight Lies utility 16d wood. It has a hot face and I can drive the ball on average 10-25 yards shorter than my driver. If you have a consistent swing and you’re not a beginner, this could work for you. I have the stock grip and shaft and it works fine with me but I have a tighter grip.

I read some of the fantastic reviews about this strong 3 wood and am a bit disappointed, I was just expecting better distance. First off, the stock grip is a sham, i nearly hit another golfer in the head because the bloody thing kept sliding out of my grip (i have never had this problem with any other 3 woods). Also, the shaft is simply adequate, not as good as I had hoped. The head is abit small, yes that is true and it is a strong 3 wood, but with that said, the distance is truly lacking when compared with what I had hoped for. Although I am a weak player, it should be noted that for most players something like a ram 420 3 wood might be better, a 3 wood with a much bigger head but that only has 4 or 5 yards less distance. I might warm up to this after using it a lot longer but I just am not feeling it thus far.. You can find them on ebay now for less then 45$ including shipping so it is a pretty good value if you really need a strong 3 wood!

This is a wonderful club. It has a standard KZG shaft with a flex between reg and firm. It is long off the tee and easy to hit off the fairway or out of light rough. It feels so solid and has a great sound. I tend to draw the ball off the tee and hit it staight off the deck. It allowed me to reach an uphill par 5 in 2 today. I highly recommend it.

Great club. Works well in all conditions. Straight and long. Miss hits still go long. Good trajectory and lands softly.

Simply stated, this is one of the finest fairway woods I have ever hit. I find that it sets up very well and I feel comfortable over the ball, which is important and often overlooked. I hit is farther than I have hit any other strong 3 wood before-consistently. That is what I find most impressive about this club: that it is very consistent. I am virtually guaranteed to hit the fairway with this guy and with the stronger loft it is a great alternative to the driver on those tight fairways where I still need distance. I would say I get about 10-20 yards more with this club, than I do with simliarly styled models from Taylor Made, Calloway, Ping, and Titleist. It's got a nice crisp sound too. For the money, it would be hard to beat this club. You can get them for next to nothing on EBAY and they are more than worth it. I try to come up with positives and negatives when I give an opinion, to be as fair as possible, but I have to say that there really are no negatives associated with this club. Looks good, Feels good, Sounds good, and has great distance and accuracy. You can probably also find a good club to demo at a KZG dealer. Being an older model, often they will have some laying around you can take out and maybe get a good deal on right there on the spot. Find a dealler near you at the kzg website. kzgolf.com. Have fun!

Outstanding, I'm able to absolutely smoke this club. Great on even some of the 400+ par fours. Very workable. Why pay the expense of Callaway, TaylorMade and Titleist

Purchased a custom made KZ Golf (KZG logo on club head)driver, now have over 12 rounds and many practice balls using it. I got a smaller 230 cc head, not the huge oversize head. It is a great club that provids excellent feel off the face, no ballooning, and workability off the tee. You can also hit it off the fairway if you need to. Significanlty better that the Great Big Bertha metals (D, 3W, 4W) woods I was playing with before.
