I have a UST ProForce 75 Stiff shaft and absolutely kill it. I have never hit a 3-wood as far, as straight, or as consistent as the McHenry.

Model Reviewed: Tour Pure 9.5 loft cm 90 shaft

Being an avid club collector and assistant pro, I've had the opportunity to try just about everything out there. On a whim, I took one of the demos from my pro shop out on the course and hit some very long, effortless drives. Never considered these before due to very high prices. With a little shopping around, they can be had now for $250ish and if you are lucky you'll locate one at $130 which is what I found them for! I demoed the 9.5* which gives a true trajectory unlike many of the massive oversize TI drivers that balloon the ball. I recommend trying the shaft flex one step weaker than you would normally use...this is due to the extremely low torque rating of the factory Grafalloy shaft, listed at 2.7* I purchased the 100 flex shaft which fits my swing speed but feels a little on the rigid side and the ball doesn't seem to jump off the face as with the 90. I will probably go back to the 90 shaft. Shafts are rated acording to swing speed and tempo. 80 = 80 mph, 90 = 90 mph ect. At original retail prices, they don't stand out but at today's prices, they are a terrific buy.

Wow. I took a demo out today and hit the hell out of the ball. Long, and lower than my typical skyrocket. I liked the 9.5* loft much better. I hit it straight and far, got over 300 yards on the range.

Small head, yet alot of striking area on the clubface. Easily controlled trajectory, no upshooting, yet high and soft. Heavy feel to work through rough, must swing easy. CM90 is a bit weak due to the headweight, length 41' is great. Try with a Grafalloy 3.5?

Club provides good distance with excellent feel, medium trajectory, very good feedback, and super good looks. All in a not-too-big club head. If you can get one used for under $150, you'll get a great driver for a good price. $400 new would be a bit high.

This club is incredible! I have a 7.5 degree w/ the CM100 shaft; it is one of the purest clubs I have ever played. Trajectory is low and boring w/ a slight rise which is perfect for me. Thinking of reshafting w/ a lighter, stiffer shaft to hopefully get rid a slight fade that will not go away w/ this club no matter what I do. I would highly recommend this club especially if you could get it slightly cheaper.

Very, very nice. Long with alot of roll, about 280 +/-. Mis-hits still produce alot of roll without harshness. Solid hits produced boring trajectories. Anybody wanna buy a Taylor Made Ti2 Bubble?

I bought this driver used at 2nd Swing in Troy, Mi. It was reshafted with a Grafalloy Stiff shaft and a Golf Pride grip. I took a chance and so far it has been worth it.
This club goes straight, period. Low boring ball flight and has plenty of roll. I really like this club. I can't speak for the OEM shafts since I bought it with a different shaft in it, but I think I have finally found my best driver for the next 2 years at least. I am hitting this one to about 260 total.

Model Reviewed: McHenry Metals Tour Pure 9.5

Bought this used based on the reviews-
I've hit it on the range but not on the course yet. Very very straight and yet long. Feel is hard to describe- definitely not soft, not quite harsh, on the harder side but not bad- it makes you want to hit it center which is good feedback. Possible to fade or draw slightly, which is good too. I like the fact it's hard to hook, my usual problem. Shaft is awesome, no need to reshaft- very tight dispersion pattern due to very low torque. I agree with other reviewers to try one less flex than usual. My 9.5 loft gives a more low boring flight than expected. I'm very intrigued by the possibilities. Very controlled flight yet long. The head size says "player" rather than "volley-ball on a stick" (sorry Ping!)

Model Reviewed: Tour Pure 9.5*

I have played and demoed mostly all of the top quality drivers from Adams to Zeider. I liked the 975D and the Tisi. Before others these were my favorites. Then a friend of mine told my about McHenry Metals. I did a little research and found it told be a solid performing driver (at least reviews said so) and I wanted to give it a try. The Tisi and 975D had more forgiveness than my previous driver and a lot more distance, this is what I expected from such high priced sticks. So I demoed the Tour Pure with the LTLF 100 (stiff) shaft. I LOVED it. 100% awesome. The distance is about ten yards past the 975D and Tisi and the forgiveness is amazing. The compact head size makes it easy to control. I love the feel of the shaft. With previous drivers, I could get 230 with roll. With the Tour Pure I get 230 in CARRY and atleat 15 yards in roll. The roll is amazing. I've played firm fairways where the roll was 35+ yards! Now I consistently drive about 245, 250. I've had many rounds hitting every fairway. This club deserves a long review. Its truly amazing. I can work it if needed, but I can always hit it straight. I used to have to concentrate on every swing detail to split the fairway, but now I can just crank em dead center. I can't explai wht this has done to my game. I soon hope to be shooting in the 70's. This club is awesome. I'm 14 and 5'8 and can rip this club. Imagine What it can do for you. Don't think that since I'm young I have no experience. I've hit the highest priced clubs and this one proves itself. I love. If you're in the market for a driver. Definitely check it out. Its worth the price, whatever you find it for!
