These are the best fairway woods I have ever hit. When I owned them, I used to shoot in the 80s. I wanted to keep up with the Jones' so I traded them in on Orlimars. I hit them further and straighter than any woods I've ever owned. I broke my driver and was forced to use the 15* Mighty Hawk to finish a round. No joke, I drove a 320 yard down hill par 4 with it. I would love to buy that club back!! Although I only play on weekends now, I'm sure my game would be back in the 80s if I could use that club off of the tee on tight par 3s again.

Customer Service

I did have a problem with the shafts breaking from time to time on them. I never had a problem with KC Golf Discount exchanging them for me. I wouldn't know about Nickent's customer service.

Good distance off the tee and fairly forgiving. However after two months use I noticed an indentation in the toe of the club. The manufacture has yet to respond and based on this experience I would not buy another. I have replaced the Club with a Jazz Titanium for the same price and it is by far a superior club to the Nickent.

Customer Service

Disgusting poor. I have tried to get in touch with them for the past month and they have yet to respond

Model Reviewed: Mighty Hawk 3 & 5 woods

I am planning on getting some new fairway woods this spring. I will most likely order some KZGs. I was going to try to get them now, but after just purchasing my new Irons and the holidays coming up, I am better off waiting. My wilson shafts are too soft for me. To get me through to the spring, I picked up a pair of Nickent Mighty Hawk woods that were on clearance. I bought a 13* strong 3 wood and 19* 5 wood. They had a buy one get one free sale so the two of them were only $49. It is a maraging steel clubhead with copper and tungsten weighting on the sole. The grooves are clean and the face seems pretty hard. The balls come off the face pretty hot. It has a medium deep face. I got it with stiff graphite shafts which are made by Harrison. The appearance is nothing special, just a grey finish. The 3 wood is great off the tee. I used it to lay up on a couple of the short par fours and on a long uphill par 3. All three shots were straight and long. It carries at least 20 yards longer than my wilson. Off the fairways, it does well but the strong angle makes it best used from level or uphill lies. The five wood is easy to hit and forgiving. It gets the ball up in the air nicely. I did not have to stop the ball on any greens so that did not come into play. I was very impressed with the performance, but know much of it was from the stiffer shafts which I desperitely needed. For $25 a stick, they are well worth the money. I would pay 3 or 4 times that for a club of this quality. I have a nickent Driver and wedges as well. Almost bought their Irons until I found a deal on my Mizunos. They offer a pretty good value in all of their products.

Play a Steelhead+ 10 for driver and wanted to upgrade 3w from Orlimar knockoff to get more distance. The club is awesome!. I hit it about as far as my driver and straight, straight, straight!!. Nice boring trajectory, with good roll. I don't have the fastest swing and the pro force 65 was just great.

I was leary of buying unknown name brands, but after hitting about every club out there in the same night, and deciding on this one for under half the price of most of the big names, I left the range laughin'. Grip n' rip it!

Is it just me or does anyone else think the big names are WAAAAAYYYY overhyped and overpriced?

Fantastic fairway woods. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to the Steelhead Plus that you can get custom built with a better shaft, the Navi hawk plus are them. Wow, best fairay woods i have ever hit. The 20* is magic. Orlimar I sold. Just as good as Steelhead Plus with better shafts.

This is a great find and a great value.

Got it with the excellent Proforce shaft (worth $70 alone!). Head has a Tungsten-weighted draw bias built into it. Not just hype; it works. Right out of the bag it was straight and true and really improved my game. Now, when I reach for my 5-wood I aim for the pin and bingo! more often than not I'm on. Remember the name: Nickent. You can't go wrong. Yes, I've got a 3-wood on order.

People are forever complaining about the cost of quality golf clubs, well with these woods that is a thing of the past. They really have made a difference to my game. The 3 or 5 wood will suffice off the tee on many holes as they are very long and accurate. If there is less need for your driver then your score has to come down. I have them with the stiff tip shaft and it really is a good combination. They are very similar to the steelhead plus but for half the price. If you buy them, you will not be sorry.

The Proforce gold shaft is what first attracted me to this club. I have good familiarity with the Proforce shaft and like it. Clubs come with long UST gold shafts and Lamkin or Winn grips.
Nickent's GH Plus 450 Steel fairways woods have some of the attributes of the Callaway Steelhead , but it is not a clone. They have small heads and are exceptional off the fairway. I'm using the 3+ wood with Proforce gold stiff shaft. It has driver like distance with 3 wood accuracy.
I found them to be a good club and value @ 150 dollars.

Bought the 5 wood and played 18 without taking it to the range. I hit it long and straight all day. It has a low torque stiff graphite shaft that reacts like steel. I went in the next day and traded my new Ping i3 3 wood for a GHS 3 wood. I got a better club and I got back enough dough to regrip my entire set. The length, trajectory, and feel of the club are top-notch. I have extensively tested the Ping i3, Orlimar Trimetal+, Callaway Steelhead+, and the Taylor Made Supersteel. The Nickent is the runaway winner.

Very high marks for distance and feel. Have a 13* and it has become my "go to" club. In certain conditions, this is as long as my 9*goldwin which is very long itself. Have hit to 300 yards (wind aided) and average perhaps 240. Face is low profile but not as small as orlimar and adams originals, but still can pop it up if I fall asleep which several sky marks attest to. Sweeping is preferred method for consistent success. Have a grafalloy prolite shaft and it is a great match for this club. Together, they provide an inspiring feel at impact. Ball really rockets off face. Very happy with it and NOTHING can touch it for price! Down side would be smaller face doesn't allow for WIDE margin of error, but sweet spot seems to be pretty large. Others to consider if this type of club appeals to you would be kzg maraging and zero tolerance fairway master. Would wholeheartedly advocate this club for the price that I paid or even triple that.
