Model Reviewed: G2 fairway 14* 3 wood stiff shaft

The Ping G2 3 wood is my favorite club in the bag. I can consistantly hit this 220-240 meters with either a little draw or straight. It is my backup club from the tee when my driver doesn't behave. I also had the 5 wood but couldn't get used to it, for some reason I would either slice or pull hook so I now have the Taylor Made 580 5 wood (great).

Model Reviewed: Ping G2 3 & 5 wood

I was hitting an Orlimar strong 3 wood.I hit it long but it's a low profile club and if you hit it a little fat the ball would pop up. I was looking for something with a taller face for more forgiveness and still maintain the distance. I went to the pro shop and started hitting woods. I hit alot of woods and my favorites where the Ping G2, King Cobra SZ, and the Mizuno MP-001 woods. All hit really well with a nice ball flight and very workable. I tried hitting all of them fat on purpose with good results. I had two factors that made me go with the G2 wooods. One both were demos so I got the 3 and 5 wood 100.00 off each. The second was I had a Ping TISI driver that had cracked and too care of it with no hassles and replaced it with the PING TISI Tec driver. PING has great service and I love that driver. I've played a few rounds with my woods and I hit them with confidence. The 5 wood paid for itself on the 18th(par 5) hole of my first round. I was 220 out in the rough, wind in my face, over water with bunker in the front and hit it about 25 feet from the pin for a 2 putt birdie. I'm happy with my purchase.
