TaylorMade 200 Steel Fairway Metal Woods Fairway Woods

TaylorMade 200 Steel Fairway Metal Woods Fairway Woods

DESCRIPTION

Greater forgiveness and distance are products of its 455 stainless steel Powerframe Technology construction. It allowed us to redistribute weight and optimally place CG to create the higher trajectory sought by most players. A trapezoidal sole pad and CAD optimized internal weight pad technology offer higher structural inertia to maintain velocity on off-center hits. This also creates a crisper, more satisfying sound and contact. Taken together, all of the features of the Powerframe Technology help increase ball speed.

Had it for 18 Months and will never swap it now. Lots hooked off the tee at first, but it encourages you to swing slow and smooth, just to better hear that joyous contact and see it Zoom straight as you like. Never hooks off the deck, but can produce a slight draw if required and fadeability is easy too. For me it flies 220 and generally only ends up 20 yards short of my TMR360 10.5Deg. Watch out for teeing it up too high, I roofed my 200 2nd week I got it, but still love it.

EXELENT GOLF CLUB Im only 13 and shoot typically 90's before i got thos club, now ive shot an 86!!! I use my 3 wood off the tee and on the fairway reach par 5's with 2 3woods(1 off tee) and my titliest lob wedge, which is also excellent. I hiot the ball far further with this club that the other 3 i tried, a nickent 3wood, a 975 pro trajectory(titleist) and a callaway war bird. highly recomend. i changed the grip to a golf pride velvet one though, as i didnt like the original one- note- my major score drop also could e ecuase a gotr a titleist vokey lob wefge and a oddessy 2-ball- both 10000% excellent

Customer Service

Absolutely fantastic fairway woods! Straight, long, responsive. In contrast to a club like Kasco, you can really feel the impact point on the club face. The shafts are more than fine. I use the 4, 5 and 7. I recently switched all my fairway woods from Stellhead III to Taylor Made. I enjoyed the Steelheads but the feel of the Taylor Made has a much softer feel. Also, since these clubs have been discontinued there are ALOT of greatdeals on Ebay and online retailers these days. Smoke 'em if u got 'em!

Customer Service

Worthless. I had contacted them many times about different things (by email) and they have NEVER responded.

Model Reviewed: 200 steel 3 & 7 woods

During recent golf vacation was finally able to try my new woods - 200 steel 3 & 7 woods - s-90 rifle shafts. The 7 wood performed flawlessly. Into the FL breeze I could hit a low "stinger" - 3/4 swing punch - that had a very hot trajectory and would run out to about 215-220. And always dead straight. Nice shot to have in the bag. The 3 wood wasn't very consistant, though. I later found out that the face was cracked - bought the thing off ebay. I contacted Taylor Made even though I knew there warranty policy only covers the original purchaser. I assumed that they would stand behind there product in some way. NOT EVEN A RESPONSE TO MY E-MAIL. Very disappointing. Clubs are too nice to give up on alltogether, but left a very bad taste in mouth. I have since bought a brand new 200 3 wood. The 7 wood is such a fantastic club, I'm sure the 3 wood will be as well. Can't wait to get out and play.

Customer Service

Somewhat dissappointing

Model Reviewed: Taylormade 200 Steel 3 wood & 5 wood Graphite s-90 shaft

Bought 3 & 5 woods to match driver I got last fall. I've read every review I could find and figured it was well worth the gamble. Played first round with both them and I can't believe how well both of these clubs performed. Set up is a snap and these clubs feel and perform solidly from a variety of lies. Going for Par 5's in 2 is realistic now! FANTASTIC from the tee box too! I've tested a variety of fairway woods and was actually very pleased with my Great Big Bertha's until I got to play a roound with the TM 200's! STRAIGHT distance and PRECISE accuracy with both clubs! 3 wood - 240+ yards (from fairway) with one 284 yard tee shot! (I can't explain that one! It wasn't down hill!) 5 wood - 225 average (from fairway) with one 239 yard tee shot! VALUE is off the charts - if you don't have them yet, I hope you can find some! THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELPFUL REVIEWS! Thank you Taylormade!

This really is a fantastic club. Sets up quite square, unlike some of the extremely draw-biased Callaways and Pings, which is nice for a straight hitter. Quite long, very consistent, and can be worked with little effort. Only gripe would be the stock graphite shaft - it isn't bad, but can't compare to the EI70 in my driver. The best fairway woods I have played thus far (and I've played just about everything short of the new Adams Redlines). Now on sale, so good deals abound.

A very good looking club and a good one as well. I bought it to replace my 3 iron in my bag, and it works; much easier to hit than a 3I. with its 21 deg loft, the flight it delivers is higher than a 3 I, but the distance is comparable and it is more forgiving Is now discontinued by TM(V-steel and 580 Fairway), so I got it brand new at half price, even better.
