Model Reviewed: TaylorMade R7 TP 13 * Fairway Wood

After a year of looking at the R7 Quad driver by TM I bought one two months ago and have been a believer ever since...it works, if you've got the game to play it! So, when TM came out with the R7 TP fairway woods I had to get one...the 13* spoon with the Fujikura shaft in stiff. The Tour Spoon is just right for my game and the courses that I play...more than enought opportunity to go for the green in two on the par 5's. Just as with the R7 Quad driver TM has done an excellent job with the fairway woods, I'm very impressed with the product, and very pleased with the results I've had to date. I will say this though...like the R7 Quad, the price of the R7 TP fairway wood is way too high...got mine on Ebay for a reasonable price, new in the plastic. Like any pro-line club you need do more than take my word for how this particular club works for me...demo, demo, if you can. I think this applies more with the TM system of movable weights...the clubs are not a panacea for a slice or hook, you need to have the game to begin with to take advantage of this technology.

the 15 degree is exactly the type of three wood that i was looking for...i have the tp driver as well so i had the extra weights to spare into my new wood...have the weights perfect for me...this 3-wood is exactly what i was looking for for those stupid par fives where im 260-275 out...one thing i dont like is the 15* part...next step is the spoon 13* so that way i can swap out when the wind is kicking up before a round. the tp line of clubs in the best club out on the market for me right now...

I don't know what the other guy expected from this club, but this is exactly what I have been looking for in titanium taylor made 3 wood. I hit the R580 3 wood and it launched like a pitching wedge but didn't go anywhere, but this R7 strong 3 wood has a great trajectory and goes forever. I took the (2) 10 gram weights out of my driver and put them into the 3 wood and took the (2) 8 gram from the fairway wood and put them into my R7 quad and it is a great combination for me. Can't wait for the Dual TP rescue to come out to customize that to what I like too. Little spendy, but oh well.

All I can say is that I was extremely disappointed with this club. Thank goodness I'm able to bring it back and get another driver and putter for the price I made for this.

Customer Service

Van's-excellent they allowed me to try this out for a month and exchange it for a Mizuno MP001 and Scotty Cameron putter
