Longest/straightest 4-wood (longer than any 3-wood) I've hit. I hit it fairly long (normally 260-265 w/ a 3-wood), but normally it 270-275 with this. The ball gets up quickly (higher than I expected) and goes forever. Slight misses aren't punished, and I've been able to hit a "stinger" to keep it down a bit into the wind. Feel/sound are exceptional. This is now my "go to" club on tighter par 4/5 holes, and I've had no problems working the ball in either direction (although the tendency is for the ball to go pretty straight).
Only downslide is that Wishon clubs don't hold their resale as well as the big names...which is great if you're looking for some steals on e-bay!

Model Reviewed: 949MC Fairway Wood 14* and 16.5*

I purchased these FW's last April from a clubmaker in Kalamazoo, Michigan and these are quality fairway clubs . These clubs are very easy to hit, I make solid contact with these clubs, keep the ball in the middle of the fairway, produce a lenght between 150 to 200 yards and they generate good trajectory. Since I have a slow swing of approximatey 80 MPH, the clubmaker recommended a Fujukura graphite shaft with a low kickpoint (E150). I BRING THIS UP BECAUSE the shaft is as important as the club. This is in my bag permanetly and I would recommend that you go to TomWishon website. These clubs also made the HOT List 2008 Fairway Woods from Golf Digest. Needless to say, I can't thank Dale May (the clubmaker) enough. If I were to do this over,I would probably go with 18* wood rather than the 14* because I prefer more loft in a wood. If you get a chance to try these out, do it.

Customer Service

No need to contact the company or the clubmaker.
