I have the 3(reg), 5, 7 and 9 woods. I acquired the 5 first (I needed a 5 wood and they only wanted $39.99 for a brand name Ti fairway wood-what could I lose?), and liked it so much I made a concerted search to find a complete set. It took me four months to collect all four, at three separate locations; I paid an average of $43.00 per club. By now you should realize they were close outs of discountinued clubs. The only reason I can figure is they were obviously overpriced in a saturated market at their original retail (but a steal at those prices). They are extremely easy to hit. So much so, I have put away my long irons and now carry these four woods, my longest iron being the 7. A word of caution: if you are a strong hitter the R80 flex will be way too light. I play A-flex in my irons, and the R80's are virtually identical in flex. As to the ratings; I have given them 5 stars for value AT THIS PRICE! Had I purchased them at regular or even "discounted" retail, I would probably have given them no more than a 3. The five stars for over all is also based on the price I paid for them. Otherwise I would have given them a 4. My major complaint is the finish. They are beautiful, but mar and chip way to easily. However, in my opinion, they deserve a 5 for playability, which in the long run is what really counts. I would recommend them to anyone who likes to use fairway woods. Good luck in the search, but in my opinion I wouldn't pay more than $50.00 each, new condition. Not when you can buy PowerBilt and some others for not much more than that.

Bought a full set but sold the driver. The 3 and 5 woods are hands down the best clubs I've ever hit. The clubs have performed wonderfully from every type of lie possible. Never a worry with the lie you draw. Getting very difficult to find now, which is driving prices back up.

I picked this club up in excellent condition on eBay for only $65.00. So I figured, why not give it a shot? I had just picked up a set of Top Flite Tour-ti irons and was very impressed with them. Sold on the company's quality, I placed my bid on the 3 wood. Well, call me happy! I was impressed from the very first swing until the last. The clubhead is very solid at impact with shots on the sweet spot, pure. Ball flight is medium to high with some real nice distance. Very effective from the fairway, (light) rough, and the tee. The "Muscle" shaft seems to be very good indeed, holding up to my hardest swings with no deviation in directional control. The weighting and balance are right on the money, truly a terrific club and highly recommended by this reviewer!

Loved the feel from the first swing. The spoiler sole really helps get the club on the ball. The 5 + 7 are easy to hit, especially off the tee. All have the balance and feel of a well made, high priced club.

this club is a great club for a fairly new golfer. it doesn't hit huge but it's pretty acurate. it reallt doesn't have a great feel when you hit the sweet spot. that is about the only negative that goes with this club other than the whippy shaft. personally i like a stiffer shaft. with a little getting used to you can really consistantly hit great shots 230+. i originally heard this club going for more than 200 dollars. i waited it out and got it for an amazingly low 70$. great value. can't pass that up. it's so cheap that even if you decide you don't like the club it still isn't a big loss.

I remember seeing the informercial for these a few years back and being intrigued by them, especially the spoiler sole. However, I'm strictly a casual golfer and wasn't about to pay $299 a club. On a recent business trip to New York, I found them on closeout for $69 each. I'm a short hitter and chose the regular flex shafts, they are quite whippy. I'm amazed at how much farther I hit these than my previous steel-shafted metal woods--and they are SO much easier to hit--even from trickier lies. Despite the fact that I'm a shorter hitter, I nearly reached a 500 yard hole in two with my new 3-wood. I was shocked to say the least. The 7 and 9 woods are so much easier to hit than my mid-long irons that I don't understand why more casual golfers don't play them (my 5-iron is now the lowest-numbered in my bag, and I could probably take that out!). Very highly recommended, you should be able to find very low prices on these clubs.

I have tried MANY other clubs including the Burners and Bertha's and they all felt just too damn big to me. I am 25 and have been playing since I was 10 and feel if the club is too big it just isn't right, half mental I guess. Anyway, I tried out these woods and instantly fell in love. The feel is excellent and will go just as far as the dinnerplate size drivers or 3 woods. As an added bonus I paid $235 for the driver and 3 wood together brand new.

A very attractive club, that's it. Even dead-center shots don't feel quite right. I can't hit the 3-wood at all. It has an r-80 ultralite and I need a stiff, but with 400 tip I cannot change it.

Without a doubt one of the best golf clubs for the money. In a effort to move to a titanium wood, I tried all of the top name clubs. I happen to try this club as one of about 8 others. Distance and accuracy is quite good and the feel is almost persimmon like when caught in the sweetspot. These clubs are getting harder to find but this is a keeper. Don't spend a fortune on the name brand advertising, you can probably buy a whole set of these clubs for the price of one of the name brands.
