Model Reviewed: Adams Golf Ovation 3 Irons

I bought these clubs in Spring '08 at GolfTown, Richmond, BC, Canada. Prior to using these irons, I was using Jazz Golf, a Canadian brand that was easy to hit.

I also tried out the Adams A3OS and Adams TechOS, but preferred the feel of the Ovation 3. I was able to hit straighter and more consistent with them at the Golf Town indoor range.

These clubs have a slight draw bias and lauch high and straight, with good distance. They are forgiving yet quite easy to control. They are also way more consistent than my previous Jazz Golf clubs. On the course Over the Summer of '08 my handicap dropped 10 points with these clubs and I was able to break 100 for the first time.

These clubs are really a bargain. One issue I have with these clubs is the grips. They are a bit rough and need to be replaced with something better, like GP Tour Velvet.

I recommend these for anyone who wants to get into serious golf without spending too much. They are actually liked by low-handicappers! (Check out the ratings at buzzillions and oobgolf).

If you tend to fade a lot, I recommend Taylor Made R7 Draw, which costs slightly more but will get you a little more distance and consistency.
