Adams Golf Idea a2 OS Irons

Adams Golf Idea a2 OS Irons

DESCRIPTION

Idea a2 OS set features four progressively shaped hybrids integrated to fit perfectly into a set of irons. Designed to be the easiest to hit set of irons in golf. The center of gravity is 11% lower and 2.5 times deeper when compared to conventional irons. This allows the CG to flow evenly and consistently through the set and delivers high launch, increased distance & precise gapping. 30% higher MOI provides more forgiveness.

I have a set of Adams hybrid a2's and I must say I'm less than impressed. I read the rave reviews and cannot see the benefit in them. These clubs are extremely bulky and I find them awkward to hit. The gap, pitching, and sand wedge are beneficial clubs to have, but the others I would trade back in for my Cobra Cavity Back Optimum Inertia irons any day of the week. These Adams take some getting use to, but just are to bulky to pull out and use.

I think they are pretty nice.Shots fly high and they are easy to hit. Good shaft. They are overpriced. The only thing I am concerned about is the paint job on the Hybrids is less than adequate. They chip and look terrible. The paint seems like it just falls off. I have already tried to touch the paint up. They are like the A7OS MAX which I think were better irons.

I once could not hit irons crisply and far. Since I got the Adams a2os I removed all my utility clubs and began hitting these irons better than my fairway woods. I droped 10 strokes within 60 days. I just love the feel of these clubs and highlt recommend them to others

I had this iron for 2 years. I am an average Asian golfer not to long hitter. But with this a2 OS, I am more confident using long irons. Now my 5 iron flies the ball up to 180 yards, hybrid 3 iron is awesome with sweet feeling and the ball flies to 210 yards. The only thing is that the weight is to heavy for an average asian body size....I normally use D1 weight but this irons is D4/D5. However I strongly recommend this iron to new golfers....easy long iron shot.

THUMBS DOWN!..Over rated, over hyped clubs. Impossible to hit those hybrids. Shafts are way too long. Club head gives off too much bounce..The 3 and 4 hybrids spent most of the time in my bag. Basically, played with only 50% of the set. I unloaded them for Callaway Big Bertha clones and I am very happy now. These Adams OS A2 killed 2 seasons of golf for me.

I decided to go with these clubs and picked them up on ebay for $250.I have now played about a dozen rounds with them, and usually shoot right at 100. The clubs hit very long, have a great sweet spot, and look good. They met my expectations. Things to think about: I am one hair short of 5'10 and they feel a little long. The three hybrid is over an inch longer than a Wilson fireball. I would have them sized. I also had a change of heart on the 5 and 6. I would probably rather the plain A2's with a regular 5 and 6 instead of hybrid, like recommended in golf digest 2007 hot list. They just don't feel as good off the ground. Overall though, great clubs.

I played my first round with these clubs yesterday & it was awesome! I've only been playing about 1yr. and usually shoot 101-105. With these clubs I shot a 92 at my usual course. These clubs aren't miracle workers. I did slice a couple with the three hybrid and the pitching wedge was a felt a little hard but I'll get used to that. These clubs are super long though and I had to adjust to that. But thats a good thing. I figure with some practice (my putting sucks) and these clubs, I'll be shooting in the 80's by mid summer. I highly recommend thse clubs to beginers or those that have trouble with distance. And you can't beat $400 for four hybrids & four irons.

As posted on this site and elsewhere both are very easy to hit. They want to go straight and you have to really do something awful to get them off track. I have dumped my woods for the moment, as the distances are almost equal and much safer to play with. They are quite offset, so that I have to be carefully with the grip to avoid a pull. Working the ball a bit is not a problem although a pull seems a bit easier than push due the offset. As another reviewer stated, the soft spot seems to cover the entire face. Would highly recomend these clubs to any golfer of any playing level.

got these to replace my cheap-o clubs. I can say the winners in this set are the 3 and 4 hybrid... BUT! nobody mentions the other clubs. I can for some reason hit those 3 and 4 crazy distances, straight and long easily. I grab an iron from this set any higher than a 4 and i can't get a good hit with it. The contact just feels way way off, the ball barely lobs and gets no distance. This is just my take and I'm posting this both to say...if you only need to improve your long game, get only the hybrids, don't spend the extra money on the 5-pw from this set, but i'm also posting to say...if someone else knows why i can't hit these irons, PLEASE tell me!!
