My previous two sets of irons was Adams GT, Adams Ultimate. Adams Idea, this is the set that made it much better. (Well, the worst is the Ultimate Irons - never buy that). I have been using Adams Idea for nearly 2 years. I played only the 7-9 irons, PW, AW, SW and LW now. The rest, I dunt like the feel and look (esp the hybrid, I prefer using higher lofted FW instead). The Idea irons are one of the most marvelous irons, good looking, high launch, forgiving. Reasonably priced relative to the other brands. (I paid around US$700 from LW-Hybrid3 - yeh a waste of $ for not using the rest, but use only what plays well!) I am still a high handicapper, but this iron really helped a lot in my game. Best, my 7-iron gave me a hole-in-one in a competition recently!

Shoots in the 90's but not for long. often only having time for nine holes that will be how I measure success. formerly only shooting under 50 once, golf was alot more frustraiting than fun. since recieving these new clubs, golf has become an obssesion. last rounds of nine....49-46-48-52-43. The 52 was due to having the shanks with my driver, not the irons fault. All I can say is I love them. They are every bit what adams golf say they are. I Am in the market for a driver as my TM 580xd cracked under the pressure. No really cracked right through the sweet spot under normal hitting conditions. I will be sure to look to Adams first as I suggest you do as well. You don't have to buy it but please try it.

I was looking for a new set of irons to replace my aging Wilson Pro Staff set. I demo-ed Callaway Great Big Berthas, Wilson Fat Shafts, Taylor Made HT and the new Wilson Di5. They are all fine clubs but could not justify the price. I tried the Adams and purchased a set on-line. I just came in from playing 18 and man, I know I made the right choice. The clubs just look good at address, have a nice feel to them and hit the ball 8-15 yards further per club than I am used to hitting. I cannot address workability, etc as my game is not that advanced. But, they sure felt good at impact and with a nice high ball flight, which I am not used to. All in all, a great set of clubs that I found easy to hit. Even the 3 & 4 hybrid irons were easy to hit and I got them airborne. They definetly deserve a look if you are in the market for a new set of irons.

Model Reviewed: Adams IDEA Iron Set

I am a brand new golfer at the ripe old age of 29. I started with a few lessons and played for a few weeks with borrowed clubs. After my third lesson I made a visit to the local golf store (Double Eagle Golf: Germantown, TN) and explained the situation to the very helpful and informative sales person. Right off the bat he recommended the Adams Idea Irons with the hybrid 3 and 4. He took my measurements and had me swing the stock factory club a few times. Within 1 week I had a custom set of Adams Idea irons straight from the factory at no extra charge. I had 1/2" extension and 3 degrees up angle (I’m 6’4”). I've been playing with these clubs for about a month now and I love them. They are very forgiving and easy to control. Not sure about the distance compared to other clubs, but to give you an idea I am hitting the Pitching wedge about 110 Yards and the 7 Iron about 140. I would highly recommend these to a high handicapper or beginner. I paid $449 and got a free stand bag to boot, plus the thirty-day play guarantee is great. Although I didn’t need the play guarantee because I love these clubs. A few of my friends who have been playing longer have hit the hybrids and love them, they felt the hybrids were much easier to hit and gave them more distance. My only gripe is that I find the grips are to small, no biggie though I’ll just replace them with bigger ones in a few months.

Customer Service

Excellent, Adams customized my clubs at no extra charge in less than 1 week.

These irons are awesome. I am a high handicapper. I used to shoot in the high 80's to low 90's. I have played a few rounds with these clubs and have not sniffed 90. Mostly I have shot in the mid to low 80's with a 78 thrown in. I have always played my irons really well. These have taken my iron game to another level. I used to play with a set of Ping Eye, knock offs. These clubs were terrible. The idea is a club to a club and a half longer than my old knock offs. I couldn't be happier. The hybrid 3 and 4 are an absolute Joy to hit. I would reccommend these clubs to any high handicapper who is not concerned so much with workability but IS concerned with keeping the ball in play. When I get to the level where I can work difficult shots with consistency, I may switch but for the next few years I will totally enjoy actually hitting from the fairway instead of having to fight the rough.

Just hit my new IDEA irons for the first time. Love the regular irons but I'm not so sure about the hybrid 3 & 4 yet. They are hard to get airborne. The irons are tough not to hit straight (not a bad thing!) but if you try to crush them you end up with a little draw (also not a bad thing.) I'll spend the next couple of days on the range trying to figure out the hybrids. With the irons I'm hitting the ball 10 or 15 percent farther than with my old Ping Eye 2's. I'll post another review after I've hit them a few times.

This is an excellent set of irons that are very easy to hit and control. The I-Woods are awesome and I can now hit my 3 and 3 hybrid clubs instead of avoiding the old 3 and 4 irons that were in my bag. The distance of the irons is about the same and the hybrid woods are almost a full club longer. Best irons ive ever played.

Customer Service

Outstanding, the best company Ive ever dealt with. When I decided to replace the 4 iron with the 4 I-wood they sent it 2nd day UPS at no charge.

Model Reviewed: Adams "NEW" IDEA A1 HYBRID

Adams "NEW" IDEA A1 HYBRID 3-sw Irons first impression. Being left handed and having no pro shops in the area I bought these sight unseen, they are a bulky clubhead. This turned me way off since I normaly use standard sized heads. Well I went ahead and got reg. flex graphite shafts because thats what I have always played with. First swings with the 5 iron. I am normaly a fader of the 5 iron and a slicer of the 3-4, the 5 iron had a slight draw, I was impressed. So I hit a 1/2 bucket with the 5 iron just to make sure it wasn't my swing that changed, all I can say is the club wants to hit straight. The distance was about the same as my Top-Flite tours that I have had since 1997 and dearly loved until they were stolen. The 4 iron went straight as well with a few fades thrown in but no serious slice. The I-Wood 3 iron hybrid took some getting used to but I can actually draw it and hit it much further than I anticipated 200-215. The lower irons feel bulky but they get the job done and are a pleasure to hit and hold the greens very well. They are the exact same distance of my tours so I didnt need to adjust much. I can safely say these will be a great set for anyone who likes golf and not just mid-high handicappers. They setup nicely but do have a thicker topline. Definetly best buy I have made in a while!

I don't write reviews but, these clubs just blew me away. I just started back playing golf recently. I was using Ping ISI Black Dot Stiff Steels. I was making good shots about 20% of the time and spraying the rest all over the place. I got these in today and had to go to the driving range to check them out and WOW! Now I am hitting 90% great shots. They go straight even in bad hits. I was fading them a little at first which is not a bad thing but I slowed my swing down and I have never hit the ball so straight. Im thinking now if I want a little fade, I just hit them a little harder. I cant say they were any longer but it was cold outside and the ball was not flying well with other clubs in my bag. The 3 & 4 Rescue clubs were a blast to hit and now I can use the 2 clubs in bag to play with instead of killing snakes. To sum it up. They feel great, go straight, very forgiving, priced right, build your confidence and are a blast to hit. Im gonna say Hats Off to Adams and thank you for such a great product. Keep up the good work. In closing, If you are looking to buy new Irons, go hit these somewhere even if you have to buy them to do so. You're gonna keep them anyway. Well, I will be following up as soon as I play a few rounds. Till then, "Tee em high and let em fly"

I got my set with Dynamic Gold Lite shafts in stiff. Absolutely love these clubs. They hit as good as they look. Long and forgiving. I liked the 3 and 4 I-woods so much I bought the 5 I-wood on E-bay also. I took my regular 5 wood out of the bag since the 3 I-wood goes the same distance, and is much straighter and easier to hit.
