Good club for the price ($30 USD). It comes in handy as a backup club on those days you have problems with your woods. For me, its hits about 30 yards farther than my 3 iron and relatively straight. I have problems with longer shafts so I choke down a bit on this club for more control. I probably sacrifice a few yards though. I agree with some of the other reviews that the sweet spot is smaller than some of the other driving irons out there, but you get used to hitting with what you have. Overall, it''s a good value.

Bought this iron new at auction for $20. I use it exclusively off the tee with very good results (210 yrds. with a fade). Since I can't get a grip on any of my woods, this club at least gets me down the fairway. The weird head does take some getting used to. Can't complain about the price.

The club is great. The first time I love what i felt. Im inconsistent with any wood off the tee and I would usually use a 3 iron. I would hit the ball 180 which was bad, wasnt good though either. Although when i was playing with my friends at the local public course where the trick is to keep it straight and in play and thats what i did and the choose to use driver and take the scenic route. I picked this club up because I can keep the ball in play bu alsohit the ball about 20-30 yards further than my 3 iron. IF you need a club for that reason get this one. There are better there are worse but for someone whos a junior golfer who buys their own equipment or a weekend golfer, this club is for you. Defintely worth a try.

This club sucks. it feels cheap and it has a small clubface which leaves little room for error. It your looking for a good driving iron try the cleveland launch iron or the Cobra baffler utility iron. They're more expensive but still a better value than the alien.

I have found that this club is worth every penny! The first time I went golfing with it a left it in my bag. I used my driver instead. But after embarring myself on the front nine, I decided that I couldn't do any worse. The first time I hit htis thing it went about 180 yards, and straight down the fairway. I was impressed. Do yourself a favor, lower your score, hit the ball straight, and buy this thing. You won't be disappointed at all!

I am a beginner golfer and have had lots of trouble hitting off the tee with my driver and 3 wood. Picked this up brand new on EBay for 50 bucks and just love it. very easy to swing due to it's heavier head and shorter shaft. I can get 200 - 225 yards no problem off the tee, and dead straight to boot. Definitely my best friend on the course, as I no longer find myself in trouble off the tee. The 14* model definitely helps distance as compared to the 16* Toski club I demoed...the Toski got it too high in the air, at the expense of carry.

I purchased this club off of an online auction for $37. At that price it was hard to resist. I had a hard time finding the fairway with my driver and 3 wood (actually, keeping it in play was often difficult). I decided to try a driving iron and found this one for a good price. I played my first round with it without going to the range first to try it out. Honestly, it looks really wierd when your looking down on it and it takes a while to get used to. Swinging it is a unique experience. The club is pretty heavy and it's relatively short. It was awkward at first but not unbearable. Off the tee, it's a decent club. It's not magical by any means and will not cure a bad swing, but bad hits are forgiven pretty well with most of my bad shots 5-15 yards off the fairway in the rough. I went the entire 18 holes without losing a ball. That's very rare for me. Out of the rough and off the fairway is where this club really helped me out. I have never been able to hit fairway woods off the grass but I hit this long and accurately consistently. Definitely your best friend on a long par 5. Overall this club is a great club for a great price. I wouldn't recommend replacing your driver with it but it can make a great adition to anyones bag.

I picked up this club for around $ 45 canadian at a local golf shop. When trying it out at the shop, it felt great, but when I got to hitting it at the range or off the tee during a round, it kept on fading, regardless of how soft or accurately I hit it...The sweet spot is definitely too small. (try bouncing a ball on the club face. The area that would give you the best results are less than 8 percent of the club face)
