These irons are the best of both worlds, a forged blade with a cavity back that is forgiving with great feel. They are appealing to the eye while being an excellent club for the 0-9 handicap type player. Had Tommy Armour golf had better financial backing, these clubs would be in many more bags. I bought these with $$ on the books from a tournament so price was no big deal and they can be had for much less.

Yep that's right, 400 brand new. the manager at the store was saying how he just could not sell them and in a whim announced that 'Hell, I'd let them go fer $400'. So I eagerly replied with a 'Sold!!'. I know that my playing abillity does not warrant such a club. But that is exactly why I wanted them, to make me try harder. Plus the fact that they are absolutely beautiful. I use I find them quite easy to use. They feel smooth on a solid hit and aren't too bad on miss-hits. Distance seems fair and controllable, I know the mistakes are me and not the club. And my swing has greatly improved from trying to control a tougher iron to hit. It wass a toss up between these and Mizuno's, these just looked so much better.

Model Reviewed: Armour 845 V-25 EVO forged

I wanted to love these clubs so bad. I've played Armours since 1986 and decided it was time for the "new" technology. I already determined I was going to buy forged irons as I love the feel. The 25's seemed like the perfect new sticks - small head, familiar set-up, and confidence in 15 years of hitting Tommy Armour.

Unfortunately, I couldn't hit these clubs with any consistency. The distance, when I did hit it flush, appeared the same as my current Armours. After hitting about 20 balls at the range with these irons, and 20 balls with TaylorMade 300 forged, and Hogan Apex Plus forged, the last two were head and shoulders above the EVO's.

I was initially ready to buy these on the spot, but was very discouraged with their performance realtive to the others I tried. It may just be that my swing doesn't work well with the 25's I sure wanted to like them, but I'd hit one right...and then left...and then right, but never straight. They just don't work for me.

These clubs feel spectacular! Good swings are rewarded with great and accurate feedback (and fitting results...). These clubs make working the ball quite easy. I would recommend these to the 0-8 handicap range who strike the ball well, consitently. mis-hits are punished but not as badly as with forged blades or the other models tried.

The greatest irons ever made. I like the less offset. It has the ultimate combination of stability, control, and workability. This is a great forged iron. This iron is the new technology

The best irons ever made. Have had these for several months and they are just unknown, accept that Couples uses them. They look so much better than any iron, the topline is remarkably beautiful. DOn't get the v31's, do get the 25's. Best forgiving forged blade ever, go rifle shafts and the ball just accellerates through the air with a sharp trajectory.

Customer Service

Really helpful, got them customized perfectly, even got the double taped upside down grips perfectly placed just how I asked. Great site.

I love these clubs. My previous set was Ping, but those don't even compare. I has taken a few rounds to get use to them, but I absolutly love them. I had them custom fit for me, and that made all the difference in the world. I would also recommend puting rifle shafts on them.

After many lessons from the swing doctor at Cog Hill and hitting my Fat shafts for about a 1 year, I decided to try a new set of forged irons. I really like the looks and set-up of the V-25s. The ball flight seems about 10yrds shorter than the Fat shafts with the short irons. Ball control is great with the Dynamic Gold shafts. Clean shots feel great, but mis-hits are known immediatly when stuck on the toe or heel. Fitting by the golf shop was good. I would recommend these clubs to any player looking for a forgiving forged blade.
