I purchased the 855's with stiff shaft about 5 years ago. My first dive into golf so my experience with other irons is very limited. I have been nothing but pleased with the 855's. I know they are very forgiving as I hit them pretty well even when just starting out. I have read many comments about length issues with the club. Most people consider me a pretty long hitter with irons so I may not be the best reference but distance has never been a issue with the 855's for me. I hit the 9 iron around 145-155, 6 iron about 180-195 yardage range, 4 iron about 200-220 which is on the high side of what someone should be getting out of those clubs. I also play a 855 1 iron. The 1 and 3 irons aren't extremely forgiving but the 4-SW are. They have been outstanding clubs for me and would not be afraid to recommend them to any player of any skill level. Brian Barnes won with them on the Sr Tour so you know they work well even for high skill level players.

First real set of irons. I love these clubs; has helped me hit straighter. Higher trejectory than old clubs. Stiff shaft yeilds some lost in distance but overall, clubs produce good feel and accuracy. I like the way they look too. I think the 845s has better feel but not by much; the clubs look identical except the 855s have a slightly bigger face yielding more forgiveness. Paid $315 with Sand and W3.

I definatly lost some distance, 10 to 20 yards pre club. I am not sure if that is due to the graphite shafts or the heavier club. But I do like them very much. They are more forgiving and usually go fairly straight. Defintly a good deal for the price, but I'm not sure they are fit for a strong tall 20 to 30 year old like me.

These irons are extremely forgiving and have a large sweet spot. However, these irons are a bit short compared to other irons I've played with. I have to use a 5 iron when I'm 150 yards to the pin. 855's are a great set for high handicapers and beginners. The graphite shafts are awesome and hold up well as my swing speed increases. To sum it all up, these irons are fantastic and you can pick them up for a reasonable price.

I originally bought these clubs to replance and an old pair of Wilson X31 Blades. My choice of Armours came at the recommendation of a coach and I have never been unhappy with my selection. I have not seen any loss of distance with these clubs and love the feedback they provide when striking the ball. I understand that the shafts have been a problem for some people, however I think they compliment my strength and height. I think these are fantastic clubs and would highly recommend them.

I''m learning how to play golf the 855"s Silver Scotts were recommended to me. I''ve found the 855"s easy to hit straight. I''ve have also found that with my slow club speed that I''m able to get a good distance with them.

These clubs are the best i have ever played. I just finished high school a year ago, but i have already played a lifetime''s worth of clubs. These 855''2 are my favorite because of the feel and trajectory i get with these clubs. It was sad to see my average 6 iron drop from 170 to 160, but i hit much straighter, and much more consistently than with my previous graphite shaft irons

Great irons, solid feel, very straight.
I do not like the shafts, to stiff, down
ten yards per club.

I bought these clubs about 7 years ago and am still playing them. Absolutely no plans on getting new irons in the future. These irons are awesome. After being out of the game for 2 years, I came back and had no problems hitting the clubs. They are quite forgiving and have an excellent feel.
