I just purchased the BH-5 Offset irons for $200 new. I wanted easier long irons to hit. I have been playing older Mizuno MX-20 irons. The Mizunos have a wonderful forged feel esp. the shorter irons when chipping. The Hogans' are Ok for feel and the distance(abit loner than the Mizunos) and direction are good. The grips are a bit rough compared to the Lampkins I was using, but work fine. Overall a good value at today's prices.

I play as a junior golfer in the uk and theese clubs drasticaly improved my game.
At first i was borrowing my grandads X-18
calaway irons and thought it was time to buy my own irons. The callaway irons where a fantastic club but in my opinion the hogans are better and slightly cheaper. they come into their own around the green offering exceptional feel and the short irons generate spin easily. they are also very gound for chipping with. i highly recogmend theese clubs to lowand high handicapped golfers alike!!!

I never tought I would buy anything that is so cheap (less expensive)...

Wow... These BH5 irons are fantastic!!!

As soon as I received them, I took them to the range and hit a large bucket of balls. These clubs are very forgiving, long and very workable.

Two days later, I play with a couple of my friends at a local golf course. They first laugh at my BH5... After the first 5 holes... I was the one laughing... They were shock how good these irons were for me... They keep saying that I have been practicing a lot and how good I was...

Thanks Ben Hogan...

Irons that I used before were Callway x12, cobra SSI king, Mizuno MX23 and Taylormade R7 Draw... Ben Hogan is the best!

I am going to buy another set before these are no longer available in the market!!!

Customer Service

These irons look very well made, I don't think I will have any problem with them.

I already own 2 sets my beloved ping I3 and mx 23 mizuno, so I really didnot needed another set but one day I was on the golf shop and saw them for 300.00 then decided to buy them to have as spare. To make the long story short i like these irons so much that my ping set is sitting on the garage, I get 10 extra yards per iron and these can cut through the turf way more easy than my pings. mid to high ball flight, great spin on the greens and light. Great for chipping around the greens. Really can't understand how these irons never made it big.

Picked up the set from Golfsmith for $199 3-PW. Pros: Set looks really sharp; plays comparably to X-18s. Cons: the stainless stell head seems a bit to "soft" and wears noticeably. (play about once a week for the past 6 months)

Customer Service

I question the durability of the club as my 5-iron and 6-iron heads are noticeably coming loose compared to the rest of the less used irons. Brought back to Golfsmith to repair the head on 3/3/08. Still awaiting (as of 3/10/08) Maybe an immitation product???

I bought my first set of hogan bh5's in the middle of last summer and was very impressed how easy they were to hit. Nice feel to them. I started hitting nice shots the second time out and didn't stop the rest of the year, good enough to win my club championship.

Very good club . I wish more people would demand Hogan irons . It is a same Callaway seems to want this line to go away . Very easy to hit but you can still work the ball. Clean look , great at set up . Apex shaft is also tops . Great club at any price .

Just got the BH-5's from golfsmith for 199 after using a Top Flite for 5 years. I was going back and forth between the Nike sligshots, Callaway's Big Bertha and the X-18. I finally bought this based on some reviews and a quick trial. These irons are great, this might be a little premature but the first few rounds at the driving range look like I have gained atleast 10 yards on my irons.

These clubs are the best buy on the market, period!. They compare with much more expensive clubs. I like them better than the Calaway X18's that they have now replaced. A great classic look
with a great launch. I feel that my irons game has improved, along with distance and that great feel when you strike the ball.

Like others, I was skeptical of these being under $200 new. After trying at the range, I was blown away at the all around performance. Great feel, distance and workability. Better than all the Ping and Calloway models I tried.
